We had a kitchen leak back in October. Austen quickly came out and got the estimate done. We were told we would hear from the project manager by the 2nd week in December. We finally heard from him the 3rd week of January, with no communication in between. When Mike came over everything started off fine until he found out that he was working with an old estimate. He then became very rude, repeatedly spoke over me, and wouldn't answer my questions. My husband finally asked him to leave. We left a message with Austen about the problem and did not receive a return call. I called the next week and spoke with Ronnie Smith. He also repeatedly spoke over me and refused to answer any of my questions. All we were asking for was better communication about timelines and respectful discussion. Instead we were treated with disrespect and dismissiveness. We are now using a different company.

We had a water leak and this contractor was assigned to do the repair. They refinished our floors and did an okay job. I did not find them easy to work with. If I called, me being the wife, I didn't always get a return call. My husband, the contractor called right back. They took way too long to complete the job!!They dented our brand new refrigerator in two places, it did get repaired, but then at the end of their work, my insurance company was billed for approximately $2500.00 more, I felt to cover the cost of fixing our refrigerator panels. I would not use this company and do not recommend them.

This company is a ""preferred"" contractor with USAA home insurance. While USAA is by far one of my favorite companies, they have made a very poor choice with this crew. If you use USAA, they will probably refer Ronnie Smith Builders to you. You have a choice here, avoid RSB at all costs.
