I have been repairing roofs for over 40 years. In that span, I have worked on all kinds of roofing jobs. I hold the title of Certified Roofing Industry Expert, and our roofers are Certified Roofing Installers. I assure you that my roof repair estimates are fair and well-informed.

When you request a roof inspection from us, I will personally assess your roof. When you contract us for new roofing or repairs, I will maintain direct communication with the certified supervisor throughout the project.

Growing up in a family of roofing contractors, with a brother in Santa Cruz and another in New York, I was on roofs by age 12. I transitioned to full-time roofing work at 14.

Throughout my career, I have accumulated diverse roofing experience. My company, Certified Roof & Inspection, ensures that we get the job done right the first time.

After repeated emails to get a quote and being asked the same questions repeatedly about re-roofing our home in Stockton, the last email said that they couldn't help us--that's it--after several days of going back and forth. Very unprofessional.

My tile roof in Lodi had two leaks and I decided to call Ron Williams Certified Roof & Inspection (the company has the C-39 roofing license, bond, liability insurance, workers comp insurance) due to the great reviews on yelp. Cesar (Ron Williams' foreman and main employee with many years experience with both roof repairs and replacements) did a very thorough inspection of my roof that included pulling a number of tiles off the roof to find the source of the leaks and was well worth the cost. After the inspection Cesar explained that the closed valley tile roof was built with the tiles butted up against each other over the metal valley flashing which didn't allow for keeping the flow line of the flashing clean for water to flow freely like it is supposed to. He showed me a photo where dirt had created dams causing water to flow sideways off the flashing and onto the tar paper underlayment. Cesar said that water had eventually found nail holes in the tar paper which was the cause of my leaks. The detailed inspection report that was emailed several days later included photos of the problem areas of the roof and an estimate for the repair costs.
Ron's wife Lisa mans the office and returned my calls promptly and patiently answered all of my questions. Lisa was able to schedule the repair day much sooner than originally anticipated. On the day of the repairs Cesar and crew pulled up the tiles along each valley and cleaned the flashing. They even trimmed the valley tiles back to expose the flashing underneath which now allows me to keep them clean for proper water flow and avoid future leaks. All tile ends on the roof ridges were resealed better than new with a special type of lead tape which will last for many years. The tiles around the chimney flashing were trimmed and adjusted for better water flow and to stop water from running down the side if the chimney. All tiles with broken corners were repaired. The vent pipes and flashing were painted with a color matching the roof to extend the life of the flashing. The quality of all the work was very good.
I felt I paid a very fair price for the work which was done and the leaks have stopped. I will use this company for all future roof maintenance. If you are looking for a good roofing company, this is the one to call.

In the beginning, I had planned to say how impressed I was with the different individuals who are a part of Ron Williams' company. I was going to say how Cesar, the technician, came out and inspected the roof for repair and told us things we had never known about tile roofs. How professional, thorough, and kind he was. How Lisa, my contact, was so very nice and personable. How, even though my description of my problem, over the phone, wasn't the clearest, she was able to play it back in writing. And her playback was much better than what I had given her over the phone. How all of her correspondence and contractual documents were so clear and precise. (I know because I spent most of my 30 year career in contracting). I would have continued by saying how the two gentlemen who came out to repair the roof were professionals and very knowledgeable.

However, I decided not to say any of those things. I will only say, THIS COMPANY IS THE BEST!

Great communication and clean work! I really appreciate the help and Lisa for walking me through every step and keeping me updated. They really worked with me and my schedule. I work alot of hours and do not have time to talk or be home. Lisa stayed in touch with me via emails at all time and provided all of the information I needed. I can highly recommend! Very punctual and professional. The guys came on time and when they left everything was clean. My house was done within the week (5 days max) I really am happy and thankful for their hard work and professionalism. I am a first time home buyer and needing a roof wasnt exactly easy. But! they sure eased the process! I was most static that I was able to chose the color of my roof! haha!

Working with Ron and Lisa was a pleasure! Lisa kept me updated and quickly answered any questions that arose. The roofing process was made easy with a reasonable estimate and replacing my roof while I was out of town! They also did a terrific job replacing my gutters. I would highly recommend Ron Williams for your roofing needs.

Excellent work and an absolute pleasure to work with. They were very accommodating when I had to request a last minute scheduling change. They finished the roof in less time than estimated and did a fine job. I felt that I received a very high value for my money -- something we don't see enough of these days. Left with the area neat and clean. I highly recommend Ron Williams (and wife Lisa).

I used Ron and his crew to inspect and repair the roof after water and rats did damage. The inspection was complete and the cost of the repairs suggested was reasonable. The crew was professional and knowledgeable about the repairs being completed, cleaned up after themselves, and the work done was done well. Communication was thorough and timely with the scope of work clearly described. I will use them again.

Ron rescued us when ""SOS Roofing"" screwed up our roofing job.
Ron told the truth in his report as to the needed repairs due to inferior work. Then Ron correctly directed us to contact a termite inspector. Because ""Termite inspectors"" are properly licensed to diagnose dry rot. In all Ron helped us establish the need for $5,500 worth of repairs needed on the roof installed by ""SOS Roofing"" and tried to bill us about $10k.

Sadly Ron had to charge us extra for the drive from Stockton to Concord due to the fact no other roofer would ""Blow the Whistle"" on their fellow local roofers. Protecting each other. Ron didn't go along with the corruption in the Roofing industry. Instead he diagnosed it & exposed it.

Ron is not afraid to tell the truth. Have him inspect your roof & make sure no old dry rot or imperfections are left behind. Ron also inspects the roof from inside your attic. Surprising things may be found before they cost you 10's of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!!

THANK YOU Ron!!!

FYI ... My Roofing Tips.
... ... .. How I prepped & achieved a 50-100 year roof !!!!!
- We discovered there was not enough air flow in our attic. So we had to add 20 Soffit Vents & 2 attic fans.
- Electrical inspection revealed faulty wiring in our attic & we fixed it.
- We discovered more dry rot in our attic (roof deck) & fixed it.
- We discovered we needed to increase insulation from R5 to R50.
- We replaced 2 bathroom fans. More powerful & whisper quiet.
- We added 2 house vent fans (to get rid of hot air in summer & odors).
- We added a cat walk to our attic for easy access Only $200.
- We added $400 in structural strengthening to the rafters of our roof.
- We added lighting in our attic.
- We added a catwalk 4 easy attic access.

& We welcome any one to take a tour to see exactly why.

WHEN IT CAME TO OUR NEW ROOF.
- We repaired all dry rot [at least 6 locations under the 2 year old roof].
- We replaced all fascia boards with premium pine.
- We replaced all plywood deck in the eaves with 1"" Ply.
- We added a 1/2 plywood to the rest of the roof (ask me why).
- We replaced all flashing next to the chimney closet.
- We repaired dry rot left by ""SOS Roofing"" in the chimney closet.
- NOTE: All new wood in the Eaves & Fascia and Trim received 2 coats of prime & 2 coats of paint PRIOR to installing (all 6 sides) - (ask me why).
- We added a layer of Grace [Brand] ""Ice & Water shield"" on the plywood roof deck from gutter to gutter.
- Then we applied tiger paw underlayment.
- We upgraded the roofing shingles to Malarkey Brand - Legacy shingles. Legacy shingles are rated for 50+ years of service.

After the roof was completed I caulked all seams in the eaves behind the gutters. This is where most dry rot occurs. With all boards receiving 2 layers of prime & paint. + Attaching ""Grace Brand"" Water & Ice shield to the gutter edge and completing a layer all the way to the ridge .... there is no chance for any moisture to be on the roof deck or eaves. No dry rot will be here for the next 100 years (& likely more).

I will never recommend ""SOS ROOFING"" to any one. ""George Padilla"" (and his crew) did an inferior job by leaving dry rot in my roof deck & chimney closet & fascia boards. Also left old & improperly installed flashing. Forcing me to replace his 20 year roof with a 50 to 100 year roof. And, after finding that ""George Padilla"" & ""SOS ROOFING"" has never been a ""Certified Elite Roofer"" by GAF Roofing he has lost his integrity with me.

LASTLY: after my BAD experience with 'GAF' shingles I would never advise others use their shingles.

AGAIN... We welcome any one to take a tour to see the results.

IN CLOSING ... I wish to admonish Yelp for playing games with my post. And my business page. And Ron Williams page. Then Deleting my first post without any just cause. And deleting the 2nd because I had shared a link telling the complete story. Shame on you Yelp. Oh... I believe that's impossible because of your selfish greed. Yelp is more interested in playing games to force business owners to pay for advertising. $399 per month on an annual contract is horrifically unfair. And after treating me and Ron Williams horrifically you don't have any grounds ask us for future advertising. Yelp's integrity is ruined. Stop calling us after taking down good reviews or pushing them to a 2nd or 3rd page. SHAME on you Yelp.

We made they right choice when we chose Ron Williams Certified Roof & Inspection to replace our roof. No matter how you go about it, getting a new roof is a big deal and big expense. Ron Williams made it a great experience. Not only did they give us the best quote, they promptly worked with us and gave us everything in clear detail. They handled everything from start to finish and kept us up to date on everything. They also have a great work crew that is professional and courteous. We are very pleased and highly recommend Ron Williams' Certified Roof & Inspection. Also, our new roof was put on in August. Our house was immediately cooler and we were using our A/C much less and now that it's winter our house is much warmer. We are saving a substantial amount on our PG&E bill. Plus we have a beautiful roof!!!
