Lisa and Ron were a pleasure to work. Professional and courteous through the entire process. They couldn't have made replacing my roof any easier particularly since I now live about two hours away from the house getting a new roof. They did the job on time and at the price agreed to.

I first contacted Roof Doctor to see if they'd repair a leak over my garage. When Ron came out he explained that the wood-concrete shakes we had up there were not something they work with because difficulty of maintaining them. From experience, I know if you just look at those things wrong they break and crack. After calling around I couldn't find anyone who I felt was professional enough to do the job and I had since found a bunch of broken shakes near our AC unit on the roof.

I had Ron come back out and paid him to do a professional roof inspection. The inspection was very detailed and convinced me that we needed to re-roof. I took the inspection report to several contractors for quotation, including Roof Doctor. At the end of the day I felt that their professionalism and attention to detail in the quotation was a level above the others. Their price was right in the middle so we went with them.

There were a couple delays starting the job due to rain holding up jobs in front of ours, but Lisa was always in contact letting me know. Once the work started they were in and done in just a few days. The crew was very professional and they cleaned up the job site every day before leaving. The new roof looks great, all the flashing and vents are color matched, and most importantly nothing has leaked after several major storms. Very satisfied here.

Ron Williams aka The Roof Doctor is quite possibly the rudest, most arrogant contractor I have EVER worked with. After contacting him to determine what repairs were necessary, a deposit was required to be paid up front for the work. Mind you the job was under $750 so we aren't talking big bucks here. After cashing my check, I heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from him for two weeks meanwhile he has my money. After numerous phone calls requesting confirmation of a specific date to begin the repairs I receive a nasty email stating that my business WAS NOT worth his time and he would send me my money back. I did not realize it was customary to takes someones money and give them nothing...not even a start date in return. Me being dumb and not having time to find other contractors, apologized and went forward with the repairs. This would end up costing me more later.

BUT IT GETS WORSE....

Part of the repair included replacement of heat/exhaust vents and flashings. The edges of the vents are supposed to be folded up to help channel water but the folds were too thick and it cracked a tile. I sent detailed photographs to Ron and called him about the damaged tile. Instead of a call back I received an email blaming me for the damage stating I must have walked on the tile. Guess what Ron, I have NEVER walked on a roof in my entire life and I don't plan it. Since Ron NEVER returns phone calls, what point would there be arguing over email.

AND STILL MORE...

Ron and his crew replaced the vents/flashings but didn't paint them!! They actually left the new flashings in their raw, silver color amongst other painted flashings. Did he take the time to tell me they needed to be painted and I should find someone else to do it??? NO!! At time of sale, we found out from the home inspector that we needed the flashings painted as well as repair of additional cracked tile replacements. Fortunately the Roseville area has far better roofing contractors than this clown.

My recommendation having now owned multiple homes, avoid at all costs ANYTHING having to do with Ron Williams.

I had a shake roof that needed some shingles replaced and they did a great job and were very clean with cleaning up at the job site afterwork. would recommend them for doing a professional job.

I contacted Roof Doc via their website, regarding the installation of a turbine vent on our garage roof. Since it was a small job I was not sure they would be interested.

Received a prompt reply, exchanged several emails regarding price and schedule. I was very happy they helped me out by scheduling the work on a weekend.

The crew was professional, did a great job, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left.

I had a bad leaking roof that started last winter when we got alot of bad storms. I got 3 bids from local roofing companies that came out to assess the situation. Ron Williams Roof Doctor was the only company that could give me a definite diagnosis to my problem and confidently tell me how he's was going to repair it and solid costs. He was the only one that went on my roof with a digital camera, came down and showed me why I was having major leaks. Water was being diverted due to debri, wind blew a few tiles causing leaks, and prior attempted repairs by the former owner were shoddy and the metal flashings were not done correctly. After showing me all the photos it all made sense. Also, one of the other bidders walked on my roof like he was on a hike and as a result, cracked several roof tiles! Ron was very meticulous with his work, took his time and his pricing was extremely competitive!

In addition, his wife, Lisa who handles all appointments and billing was also very nice, courteous and professional. Having a leaking roof during a storm with two little kids can be a bit stressful but both Lisa and Ron made it easy and were very understanding and sympathetic to your problems.

After a year of rain and several storms I am happy to report that I did not experience any more roof leaks! I am a happy customer. I highly recommend Ron Williams Roof Doctor for all of your roof repair needs!

The only thing worse than the work he did was the poor customer service. He was contracted to patch a leak in my tar and gravel roof as well as apply a protective coating to a flat section of the roof that was not tar and gravel. After numerous calls and excuses, he showed up over a month later than he said. Then, one of his workers left footprints of this paint-like protective coating from the foot of the ladder, down my front walk and steps, right to where the truck was parked. Silver footprints all the way down my front walk! And that was not the worst of it! About a month later, a wind picked up and I am getting dollar bill sized silver protective coating pieces raining down on my property. The coating was peeling because it was not properly prepped. It actually gets worse... Then after numerous emails and phone calls a guy came out to fix it. When I got up there to check it with him he had clearly done a poor job of redoing it. I was peeling up more pieces with my foot and saying, ""What about this?"" His worker got Ron, the owner, on the phone. Ron was VERY nasty to me. His employee stated to me that Ron was nasty to him as well. He also stated that Ron wanted him to do a minimal job and get to the next job. He went against what Ron said and did a more complete job anyway.

But wait, there's more...

The tar and gravel patch was done after the rainy season last year. When the rain came this winter, so did the leak. In the exact same spot. The interior work that I had done due to the original leak was once again ruined. I emailed Ron numerous times. He was incredibly arrogant and nasty with the emails. He even accused me of being manipulative in trying to get him out again to repair the leak. He said that he was on vacation and that he would come out when he got back from vacation. After vacation, he never called for weeks. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The day after he received the complaint from them, he called me. Imagine that! He never did respond to the BBB complaint, so it is now on his record for 3 years.

I needed a quick but good repair of my garage roof to satisfy the bank underwriting my refinance, and Ron was the only one able to do it on short notice. Given his very fair price, I expected the bare minimum of work, but I ended up with something I'm very happy with: he did excellent work, far beyond what I expected, cleaned up after himself and did it FAST. Definitely will call him again should I ever need roof work on my house or anywhere else. I can't recommend this guy enough - nice, friendly, trustworthy, competent, fast, affordable - everything you want.
