Roman Roofing did my neighbors roof across the street. They said if a neighbor had a flat tire they would pay for it. Well guess what? I had a flat tire about three weeks after the roofing. I had to buy a new tire because the nail was too close to the outer edge. They came and took the tire back to the office. I said I did not expect them to pay the whole amount but at least $50 or $25 dollars. Well I guess it was not within their time frame. He said I could have picked up the nail anywhere.
When we looked at the lawn tractor it also had a nail in the tire. With the rain and the tractor nails were probably thrown into the street thus my flat tire. My neighbor felt so bad she gave me money for the flat tire.
Roman roofing should NOT tell you things they will not follow thru with. Hopefully there will be NO more flat tires

I recommend this company, and if i had to do it again I think I would choose Roman.
The work seems to have been done well, the workers seemed competent and courteous. Everyone I had verbal interaction with seemed professional.
The work took nearly 6 weeks from removing the old roofing to the installation of gutters and downspouts (by what I believe was a sub-contractor).

However, there is a general lack of good communication skills with this company.
One day, as I was getting ready for work, a small crew showed up to install the skylight tube. As there had been no warning this was going to happen on this nor any particular day, I had to get my retired brother-in-law to come over to babysit the work so I would not have to miss work.
Calls and emails made to various members of the company went ignored, so I was left in the dark about schedule and progress.

The gutter and downspout installation was apparently done by a subcontractor (with a different company name than Roman on his vehicles). This was another surprise appearance....and the contractor was cursing my landscaping and the fence on the sides of my property for making the installation a challenge (how many homes do not have fencing and landscaping?!).

When paying the final bill, I was surprised to find that a bunch of plywood was needed for replacement, hence a higher cost than the original price quote. .......I think mainly on the shed, as later I found the shed was infested with termites.
Again with the communication! IF workers found they had to replace nearly the entire plywood sheathing on a 8x14 shed because of termite damage, wouldn't it make sense to communicate this to the homeowner?! rather than replacing the wood and saying nothing?
So, again, I say the work was done well by Roman, but there's room for improvement in the communication aspect, on all levels of this company.

My advice is that you should NOT pay the balance in full until the job is completed. Even though I was given a written promise that the few remaining problems would be completed, I'm still waiting after nearly 4 months for the last repair to be addressed. It appears that I will have to hire another contractor to finish this final repair. A supervisor came over and indicated they would take care of it; however, I'm still waiting. Overall, they did a good job; however, I am very disappointed with the follow-up work (after paying them in full). The clean-up was also disappointing with roofing nails found throughout my yard. Note: Had they completed the job they promised, I would have given them 4 stars; however, since this will cost me additional out-of-pocket monies, I can only give them a maximum of 3 stars.

P.S. I have no idea why my city is listed as San Francisco, CA, since I live in Lee County, Florida.

Roman Roofing ""verbally"" promised me things, they did not put in writing and now will not honor what they promised. 1. The sales person, John Ripp promised me a light kit for a solar tube, wind mitigation, and brown (matching) tubes/vent on roof to blend with shingles - (I have a silver vent - with tar slopped all of it right over the entry of my home) he did not include these in quote. After I gave the deposit I was told if it was not in contract I would not get it. Later I was told by Alex that they would pay for the electrician if I bought the light kit (I do have this information in a text). 2. The people installing plywood missed the truss and hit our main electrical line and knocked out power in the entire house. I was told by Alan from the Roman Roofing that they would ""take care of it"" and he contacted an electrician for an emergency call. I was lead to believe they would pay for their mistake. When I received the final bill they added $985 for the electrician's emergency call - John Ripp showed me something that was supposed to be in my contract stating they are not responsible for any damage they cause during installation. I refused to pay this amount, but paid the remaining balance. Now they called for the wind mitigation to be done at my expense and it does not appear they will be paying for light kit installation - which I am lead to believe they tried to charge me for the emergency electrical visit to get out of paying for electrician to install light kit.

We are so happy with the roof Roman Roofing (of Fort Myers) put on! Did everything they said they would - on time - hard workers - excellent work & all at a fair price! Thank you!

Disappointing communications, poor clean up coupled with an attempt to seriously overcharge for a minor change. Roofers blew all roofing debris onto our screen enclosure and into our pool failing any attempt to cover the screen enclosure or pool,of course Ralph assured us covering the screen was standard(never happened). What we did find standard is Ralph's ability to disagree with what he placed in writing as well refuse any responsibility or return a phone call unless it was to ask if payment had been made.

Roof appears to be completed properly.

Alex Chardiet of Roman Roofing was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very thorough in his assessment of my roof. His evaluation was very honest, and his estimate was very fair. I was very happy with the service they performed, and would definitely recommend them.

The crew of (two) that showed up over an hour late to repair my roof pulled in late with chips on their shoulders. When I was about to call and cancel the appointment with their office, the two repair guys showed up just in time as I was calling their ""supervisor"". Their small truck was visually lacking the materials I knew to be needed to complete the proper job in it. I immediately called their supervisor ""Jake"" who overtalked me while I tried to convey my frustration to the point where I got no words out without being talked over. He finally told me to stick it you know where and have the higher rated company in town fix my roof then. The company who came in a few hundred dollars cheaper yet wouldn't be here as soon. The ONLY reason I was going to go with Roman in the first place. Terrible customer service. Blamed their hour late arrival on traffic as if that were my fault. THEY scheduled the appointment. (They).

We used Roman Roofing to replace our roof after Irma damaged our roof. We also had them install new skylights to replace the old antiquated ones that we had on the roof before. We bought our own skylights and they were happy to install them for us as part of the roof project. Did a great job on the roof and installation of the skylights. During the project our front gutterWas damaged by one of the installers. Roman roofing took responsibility and sent out a gutter company and completely replaced the damaged area at no charge or a hassle. Would highly recommend Roman Roofing to anyone whom needed a roof replacement.
