Stay away. They sent drunk workers to the house-twice. The Sales Rep lied to me. I caught them trying to rip me off by tearing off good woo and destroying my fascia. Lies, deception. When I tried to speak with ""Mike"" the production manager, he tried to bully me and then said,""I (Roman) should have walked away from your piece of shot roof. "" He then hung up. Roof is half done at Christmas time.

When it c ame time to replace our roof we had 4 estimates. Although Roman roofing was the highest estimate we were sold on the presentation of the salesman, stating all they do to go above and beyond to not only do a better then average job but to please the customer.
Debris was left all over the site, including empty drink bottles, nails and pieces of shingles. They shot a nail through the AC line set and calmed it was my fault so I had to pay a AC company to fix it at a cost of $560.00. They claim they're insured but I guess it doesn't cover what they do wrong. The installers threw the bundles of shingles down so hard that it shook the house and caused 14 nail pops in my ceiling that I had to have fixed. when asked the Forman stated that it was normal.
My suggestion..... Don't use Roman Roofing.

Roof failed inspection after completed. Roof had two leaks right after being completed and had to be stripped off in two areas to fix the mistakes. Now roof is leaking a third time and they want $1,600 to fix. When roof was done there were soda cans left in the gutters, the workers used the gutters as a bathroom, and the gutters were not nailed back everywhere. Nails and debris were dropped into the kitchen vent requiring disassembly and a new fan that I had to fix myself. Workers shingled right over spot where light tube was to be installed in the kitchen. They had to strip it back and then glue the shingles down after calling someone else in to put in the light tube. After 4th roofing nail in my foot I rented a magnet to pick up all the nails on the lawn. The original roof on the house lasted 20 years without a problem. The Roman roof lasted 4. The people at Roman were very nice though.

On December 22, 2020, I bought a house built in 2006 with a roof that looked good enough, but I needed to be sure maintenance was handled. On January 5, 2021 I met with Eray of Roman Roofing who did a thorough inspection of the roof of my newly purchased home to verify its condition. Eray inspected the roof inside the attic and outside on top if the roof. I wanted to know if recaulking needed to happen now, if the asphalt shingles were securely in place, and if any shingles were missing where they could not be seen from ground level and if any supports or wood was damaged from infestation. Eray assured me that the roof really was built in 2006 from experience in the neighborhood, and that it wasn't perfect anymore but it didn't need maintenance right now and there was no evidence of infestation. Eray also suggested that next year we may need to replace boots on the roof but nothing needs to be repaired or maintained this year. Nice! Eray and Colin deliver very diligent and thorough work and I will have them here next year too. Thank you Roman Roofing. Highly experienced and honest service is a rarity and to be valued. Thank you gentlemen.

We just had a phenomenal experience with Roman Roofing!

It began with Ralph, who carried us through the initial phases of inspection, pricing and material selection. (He's also still assisting us with the insurance claim portion which is extra helpful). He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He's extremely knowledgeable and happy to help in any way - he really got us off to a great start, and made us feel comfortable throughout the process.

Alex was our next contact, and he and his removal/dry-in crew were phenomenal. Professional, fast and efficient. Alex went above and beyond to ensure that things were done correctly every step of the way, and the job site was cleaner when they left than when they started.

Next was Miguel, the one-man phenom roofing master. He was unbelievable - incredibly hardworking and kind. He had our roof completed in just a few days, and we could not be happier with the finished result.

Look no further for your roofing needs!

Roman Roofing did my neighbors roof across the street. They said if a neighbor had a flat tire they would pay for it. Well guess what? I had a flat tire about three weeks after the roofing. I had to buy a new tire because the nail was too close to the outer edge. They came and took the tire back to the office. I said I did not expect them to pay the whole amount but at least $50 or $25 dollars. Well I guess it was not within their time frame. He said I could have picked up the nail anywhere.
When we looked at the lawn tractor it also had a nail in the tire. With the rain and the tractor nails were probably thrown into the street thus my flat tire. My neighbor felt so bad she gave me money for the flat tire.
Roman roofing should NOT tell you things they will not follow thru with. Hopefully there will be NO more flat tires

I recommend this company, and if i had to do it again I think I would choose Roman.
The work seems to have been done well, the workers seemed competent and courteous. Everyone I had verbal interaction with seemed professional.
The work took nearly 6 weeks from removing the old roofing to the installation of gutters and downspouts (by what I believe was a sub-contractor).

However, there is a general lack of good communication skills with this company.
One day, as I was getting ready for work, a small crew showed up to install the skylight tube. As there had been no warning this was going to happen on this nor any particular day, I had to get my retired brother-in-law to come over to babysit the work so I would not have to miss work.
Calls and emails made to various members of the company went ignored, so I was left in the dark about schedule and progress.

The gutter and downspout installation was apparently done by a subcontractor (with a different company name than Roman on his vehicles). This was another surprise appearance....and the contractor was cursing my landscaping and the fence on the sides of my property for making the installation a challenge (how many homes do not have fencing and landscaping?!).

When paying the final bill, I was surprised to find that a bunch of plywood was needed for replacement, hence a higher cost than the original price quote. .......I think mainly on the shed, as later I found the shed was infested with termites.
Again with the communication! IF workers found they had to replace nearly the entire plywood sheathing on a 8x14 shed because of termite damage, wouldn't it make sense to communicate this to the homeowner?! rather than replacing the wood and saying nothing?
So, again, I say the work was done well by Roman, but there's room for improvement in the communication aspect, on all levels of this company.

My advice is that you should NOT pay the balance in full until the job is completed. Even though I was given a written promise that the few remaining problems would be completed, I'm still waiting after nearly 4 months for the last repair to be addressed. It appears that I will have to hire another contractor to finish this final repair. A supervisor came over and indicated they would take care of it; however, I'm still waiting. Overall, they did a good job; however, I am very disappointed with the follow-up work (after paying them in full). The clean-up was also disappointing with roofing nails found throughout my yard. Note: Had they completed the job they promised, I would have given them 4 stars; however, since this will cost me additional out-of-pocket monies, I can only give them a maximum of 3 stars.

P.S. I have no idea why my city is listed as San Francisco, CA, since I live in Lee County, Florida.

Roman Roofing ""verbally"" promised me things, they did not put in writing and now will not honor what they promised. 1. The sales person, John Ripp promised me a light kit for a solar tube, wind mitigation, and brown (matching) tubes/vent on roof to blend with shingles - (I have a silver vent - with tar slopped all of it right over the entry of my home) he did not include these in quote. After I gave the deposit I was told if it was not in contract I would not get it. Later I was told by Alex that they would pay for the electrician if I bought the light kit (I do have this information in a text). 2. The people installing plywood missed the truss and hit our main electrical line and knocked out power in the entire house. I was told by Alan from the Roman Roofing that they would ""take care of it"" and he contacted an electrician for an emergency call. I was lead to believe they would pay for their mistake. When I received the final bill they added $985 for the electrician's emergency call - John Ripp showed me something that was supposed to be in my contract stating they are not responsible for any damage they cause during installation. I refused to pay this amount, but paid the remaining balance. Now they called for the wind mitigation to be done at my expense and it does not appear they will be paying for light kit installation - which I am lead to believe they tried to charge me for the emergency electrical visit to get out of paying for electrician to install light kit.
