I chose Rockin' Roofers because of the low quoted price and they could get the job done before the rainy season; they said they were scheduling jobs in early October when I gave them my deposit in August. After hounding them to schedule the job they finally gave me a date in January. That alone should have been breech of contract but the contract in writing didn't say when they could do the work, so my bad for not getting that in writing before paying a deposit.
I had another roofer check out the roof and they said it looks fine, contrary to Rockin' Roofer's inspection results. Another lesson: get multiple inspections, not just quotes for the job.
And of course they refuse to refund my deposit.
Also, the project manager was super green. Every time I called with a question he didn't know the answer. All around this was a pretty bad experience and I definitely would not recommend them.

Rockin Roofers recently put a new roof last month and did a stellar job.
We just had a big storm and a redwood branches pierced right through our brand new roof
I wanted to cry.
I called Don at Rockin roofers/Simply Solar and he sent A man Amado out right away and he fixed it with in an hour.

Do not hire Rockin' Roofers.

While Simply Solar, the owner of this company, does good work, the roofing subsidiary is the worst contractor I've ever worked with. The staff who field the calls from me are great. But the guy in charge, Don Kestler, is full of promises his team just can't keep. His team made a huge list of mistakes that I had to keep close track of, and it was months before they were corrected.

In fact, as I write this, it has been six months since I first lodged a complaint about my newly installed gutters. They were holding water at the ends, not draining to the downspout. There was a leak right where two of the gutters came together. And there was no gutter guard on one of the gutters. (They had subbed out the gutter work to another company, whom they later fired.) I called the support staff weekly for six months to finally get someone to work on the problem. The leak got fixed, but the gutters are still holding water, and the gutter guard is still missing.

Apparently Don Kestler is pushing me off because he thinks I'm whining and the shoddy work isn't his responsibility.

If you don't enjoy calling and calling to get something fixed that you paid for, then avoid this company.

I was referred to Rockin Roofers through a trusted friend & biz referral source who has connected me with other tradespeople in the past.

Don came out when scheduled, explained everything clearly and provided me his bid. I reminded him it was for an insurance repair & needed it to be itemized; he did so & sent me the revision as promised.

The crews showed up on time, did all the work as cited in the contract, not only w/o any change orders or hidden additional charges, but Don also had them perform an additional small maintenance repair on another similar skylight to prevent another leak, and replace additional ridge vent shingles, at no extra charge. I'm very grateful for that!

I did have a couple questions and was referred to Proj Mgr Robert who contacted me promptly, and then also made time to drive by before the guys left so I could see & clearly understand his answers to my questions.

I work with different tradespeople and had a great experience with everyone (including the office staff as well, thnx Oriana, Lucy & Sara!) at Rockin Roofers. Even though my job was an insurance repair, and not a total roof replacement, they treated and communicated with me professionally, they cleaned up well and left my home and yard better then they found it. I can't recommend them any more highly for any roof issues/repairs when the need arises. Thanks for doing a great job!

I was really impressed with the roofing guys. Very nice to work with - kept me posted everyday to on progress. My favorite thing was they they cleaned up everyday- you couldn't tell there was a project when the family came home. They worked though one of the hottest weeks of the year and got the project done in a week. I did a solar+roof combination and satisfied with the price/value/quality of the project.

We own a 65 year old house in Sebastopol. It has a tar and gravel roof which over the 44 years we have lived in it has given us problems. I must say that Don and his crew have very skillfully addressed all our leaks and concerns. Currently, the wind is blowing and the rain is pouring and there are no problems. We couldn't be more pleased with their workmanship and prompt response.

We just had our roof replaced by Rockin' Roofers and their team did a fantastic job from start to finish. From Jake's explanation in detail of what they would do when he came out to bid on it, to the crew that came through for final cleanup, the entire team was on top of their game. They cleaned up daily and was attentive to their surroundings. We are happy with the service they provided and highly recommend them.

If I could give less than one star, I would. We contracted with Simply Solar for a solar system and a new roof. This company is their roofing division. We opted for a standing seam metal roof, something that's not too common in this area. Before we signed any contracts, Don Kestler, the director of Rockin' Roofers, came to our house with the Solar Salesman to discuss the metal roof and options. Don assured us he had 30 years experience and his staff had done metal roofs before. He stated they were trained and certified by the supplier as installers. We believed him ... don't do that.

Our project started in July, estimated to be two and a half weeks. The project took six weeks! The tear off team did not protect my siding, causing damage to our downspouts, tar smears on new siding and a huge mess that they did not properly clean up. They took on 3 metal projects at once, and sent the one experienced person they had to another job. The team sent to our house did not have much experience, with the foreman trying to teach the workers about metal on site. At one point I was asked by one of the roofers why I didn't just get a composite roof, this one was too hard.

They did not clean up each day, as promised on the contract. I have 3 small dogs that we let outside in the yard, but not until after I would go out and pick up. I had to pick up metal shards, screws, plastic and other trash - including their lunch containers, from my yard. My favorite was picking up the cigarette butts!

My siding was less than 2 years old, but they had to remove portions of it to get the metal roof to fit under. It took multiple conversations before they replaced it properly, sealing all seams. I have pictures of the chimney base ""flapping out"" and they considered that appropriate.

The Solar installation team was sent out multiple times to get started on their piece, and could not do so because the roofers had not finished enough. At one point solar panels had to be taken back off because the roofers had to go back and complete an area.

I can go on about this experience, but I'd rather not ... I can't speak to their workmanship on composite roofs, but don't ever use this company for a metal roof!

This company is an absolute Shitshow.
Hired them for a metal roof.
Two months later and it's still not done.
Quality sucked, lied about finishing dates
No compedent help.
I use roofers all the time.
Hands down the worse subcontractor I've ever had.
