STAY WAY!!! Unfortunately I didn't see the first Yelp review about Robert. BTW- He also goes by RJ Construction which is why I failed to see the first review.
We were referred to Robert by a highly rated Yelp handyman who couldn't do our job. Unfortunately, the referral turned out to be a disaster. We hired Robert to open up a create a new doorway in an internal wall. He said the job was easy and would take 1 week. Three weeks later, it was finally ""finished"". He started by under-bidding the job and asked us for more money after he started it. Not good. Robert constantly showed up late or didn't show up at all on some days. He always had some random excuse why he was late or didn't make it. He even had the nerve to ask for 2 pay advances when he said he didn't have gas money. The overall work was shoddy at best. He left the job with bad sheet rock work and poor carpentry issues. I will unfortunately have to call another repair company to fix his work. I don't have the time or the patience to call him back to fix it because I can't imagine how long it will take him to complete those repairs. Take my advice and learn from my mistake. Take your business elsewhere.
