We chose Right Choice from a magazine article. I was hesitant but our first meeting was very good. We wanted to take our kitchen island counter down to one level. Originally we were going to leave the brick on the counter wall, but the bricks were too loose and some even fell off during reno. Kyle created wood paneling for that wall to match the style and stain color of our cabinets and it looks as if it has always been there. We also had trouble finding matching granite since we didn't need/want to change out the other countertops. Kyle scouted and found a very close match of granite for us, too. Due to these surprises, it took longer to finish but thru no fault of Right Choice. I told him up front I was particular about the quality of work and he made even minor changes without question. We are very pleased with the work and the outcome!

I have been upgrading my home and using The Right Choice for over 6 years since Jeff was there. Every time, they did a wonderful job and I never have any problem even I was out of States. The communication is great. I have done painting interior, Kitchen cabinet, counter top, outside construction under the roof area and painting and beautiful fence. Because of the winter storm, my daughter house was damaged by leaking pipes, they have taken care of with their wonderful crew. Great work

The absolute worst. Please save yourself the headache and find a different company that won't leave your house a mess, they can't handle large jobs. My house was a complete redo after the winter storm and the craftsman shift is embarrassing. My guest bathroom looks awful, my new flooring is already coming up in areas, they'll just peice together baseboards. The owner is either a liar or just completely unknowledgeable about his work. My shower was left with raw edges in several places that looks horrible and the owner said it's supposed to be like and you just use paint to cover it. They also have a terrible plumber, everything he touched broke and instead of replacing it with what I already had they bought cheap stuff and spray painted it black to match everything and the paint is already rubbing off. They left paint all over my driveway and the concrete at my front entrance. The guy doing the board and batten in my bathroom had to ask me what it is, he had no idea what he was doing and it shows in his work. We felt like we didn't have a choice on where the flooring and cabinets were purchased and we're very unhappy with the quality. Paint is coming off of the cabinets, wrong tile was put in bathroom, not to mention they threw away my cabinet doors in the laundry room and was only a lento receive two back and so my cabinets look silly now. We were supposed to have an outlet out in in the kitchen where a wall was removed and we never got it. They had to Jerry rig our sink because they had the cabinets cut wrong for the type of sink we wanted.

It was just a disaster.

Also, the owner misquoted us on our final payment, she left out stuff after literally triple checking and then comes to us saying we owe an additional 9k. What a surprise that was and she was terribly rude and unapologetic about it. A very prideful woman.

Maybe they were once a good company but the takeover from the daughter and son in law is very sad.

ZERO STARs. Why?
*FACT#1: Because Kyle Mederos NEVER responds to emails to let me know what's going on. Says he'll let me know by Friday the results and action plan to repair ___ and I hear nothing! Nothing until next Friday WHEN I had to INITIATE conversation to ask what's up. He didn't show empathy knowing I've been waiting ON HIM - not him waiting on me. What kind of owner would not follow-up with their customer if no response was made in a day or in this case, over the weekend? POOR OWNERSHIP. LACKING BUSINESS PRIDE!
*FACT#2: Same lame excuses- he FAILED to send emails and follow up -- reason is always ""uh my email got stuck"" or ""uh I didn't hit send"". That is a rookie excuse- not Ownership. His workers would stop by right as you're leaving the door for work. I wanted the job to be done so I decided to accommodate them. They made me telework instead of work in the office because of their non-communication. I missed key face-to-face presentations because of this. No empathy - No remorse - No apology.
*FACT#3: Don't expect a phone call/text/or email from anyone unless they want your money. Twice this happened. And twice I told them the work is INCOMPLETE. Why would anyone pay for work that wasn't accepted by the customer and the work isn't of quality?
*FACT#4: BBB has been sent a memorandum for this 'Contractor' failing to perform agreed upon work. How much leniency does a customer need to make in order to get what we signed for? Do I need to wait 8 more months? Do you not have the right knowledgeable craftsman? My home is an embarrassment because of their work.
*FACT#5: Sub-standard performance, execution, and poor knowledge of materials. I waited 1 month for my job to start. Fast forward 13 months later, my job is STILL INCOMPLETE. Kyle won't make decisions, won't respond, or clarify issues. It's like he knows he (his company) FAILED and doesn't know how to back out of the agreement.
*FACT#6: Right choice IS a RISKY choice!

**This is an incompetent and unreliable company.
** RIGHT CHOICE - My family, friends, and neighbors will spread word of your lack of quality and execution, the entire City of Flower Mound will hear how unreliable your team is, and how YOU Kyle LACK commitment.
**100% UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!

I give this company 2 stars only because I like the paint colors on the house. I hired them to paint the exterior of my house and the fence. There were delays due to my travel, but also due to untimely follow up by the Project Manager, Nick, who as time went on seemed to be not experienced enough. There was confusion with the paint color for the fence (I was led to believe I would be able to get the color I wanted (charcoal gray) and then on the day of the project starting had to choose another color, which turned out to not be a good color for my fence. Company was not willing to work with me in switching it unless I paid practically the entire amount I paid initially. Was never told some of the fence slats needed to be replaced until I complained about the paint job, which would have made paint job look better. I was told their best paint crew was coming. This crew was messy, took long lunch breaks, sat in my yard to eat according to my neighbors. The company replaced my patio rug because they got it so dirty and also had to clean my patio furniture and garbage cans since they got them dirty, including paint. I was told they were going to move the patio furniture. They did not complete all of the paint job on my house according to our agreement and had to come back to finish, along with painting doors again. I did not realize until they left they painted only the front part of wood around windows and not the entire wood trim around windows. They also ordered too much paint for fence, cost I had to pay. There are other details, but this is enough for now.

Because of the winter storm, I had some drywall repairs that needed to be done due to burst pipes. I reached out to Jeff and worked with Brent to get these done, and they were both very communicative and up-front about pricing, scheduling, and how long each job would take. I really appreciate the good communication they have since they would let us know immediately if they were able to come a day early, or if they were unable to make it one day.

The work they did was fantastic as well! The team was very professional and they completed the work in a very timely manner.

Thank you very much!

My husband has been using Jeff's company for 5 years. They did work for his house he sold in Coppell and now they are doing work for our new house in Dallas. They painted our custom home office cabinets, fixed drywall in our ceiling (where my husband fell through the attic), and repaired and painted where we had a steel beam installed for our back patio. I only spend the time to write reviews when it is needed and his company is well worth the time! We will continue to use Right Choice as long as they are in business.

I called with a small job, but wanted to test how they operate before perhaps engaging them to do much larger projects, like a bathroom remodel. It took 3 days for someone to call me back, then another week for someone to meet me at my home to review the project. It took another week to provide me with a quote, but only after I tried calling the guy (but couldn't leave a message because his voice mailbox was full). Then I waited eight more days for them to send me a contract and a construction schedule estimate but the contract was actually missing from the email. I figured if they take this long and were this inept to just get through the preliminary paperwork, they weren't to be trusted to finish the job on the schedule they provided. I pulled the plug and went with another contractor.

Missed too many things. Had to call them back twice. Didn't mention repairs that needed to be made, and complained how far away they were when they had to come back out. The owner, Jeff, is much too friendly. I do not care for a stranger hugging me. Use another company

Had Right Choice paint the exterior of my home. Needed a lot of wood replaced. Great job on wood and painting. I would highly recommend. Jeff the owner is very nice and his crew showed up when they said they would and on time. They cleaned up every day.
