Mark is by far the most unreliable person I have dealt with. After signing the contract and promising to finish the job within 3 week he failed to do the job. Ultimately after 4 months of calling, texting, leaving voice message I told him I want to void the contract, that's when he responded by texting ""good luck"" . By far the worst contractor I worked with. Don't waist your time with this clown. This guy is non responsive!

We needed our roof repaired and have a great contractor so we decided to handle this through him and he brought Richter out in early December to review the needed repairs and provide a bid. Richter said he could not do the work in December but promised to do the work by the end of January. However, he never followed up with dates so our contractor really got on him about not honoring his commitment and got him to commit to do the work in February. However, toward the end of February he still hadn't scheduled the work and when our contractor called him he said he could not actually do the work in February but had two clear dates in early March which he could commit to, starting this past Monday, so we scheduled the work for those days. Given his lack of professionalism and reliability our contractor called him on Sunday afternoon to confirm he was going to show up on Monday morning and Richter confirmed they would be there in the morning. However, despite such confirmation and having failed to live up to his commitments for two months, they didn't show up on Monday morning and did not even bother to inform our contractor or us that they weren't coming until our contractor called Richter to find out why no one had showed up. Apparently Richter used to be very reliable and professional but that has changed in the last year. We have moved on to a new roofer, and our contractor was so upset and embarrassed by Richter's lack of professionalism he is no longer going to use Richter.

Mark was recommended from our finished cabinetry guy. My Husband and I are renovating our entire house and needed a complete re-roof. We called Mark and he came out to give us an estimate quickly. Mark was fantastic at 1st meet & greet. Mark is very knowledgeable, efficient and gave us the best price compared to other roofing contractors. We had a lot of questions and during the whole process Mark was always there for us to answer our questions. Mark went beyond helping us out. Mark made sure the job site was clean and his workers are fantastic! Mark was even available to answer a phone call at 8:30pm on his cell. I highly recommend Mark and his staff. Mark was super kind to help us out installing our Velux Sun Tunnel Skylights. This was not in the bid, it was something we thought of after. What a guy to take the time to show us how to install them. We had no issues with City inspection as well, everything passed inspection the 1st time. We highly recommend Mark Richter.

So a little over a year after installing our roof we had a leak. While unfortunate, I was understanding so long as our roofer stood behind his work. It's now been more than 25 days since I first called him and I've got 1 single call from Mark who sent someone out unannounced who was clueless and ripped up the patch job my handyman did. When I call or email to find out if his guy fixed our roof or not I can't even get a response. Messages and emails go answered and when I do get Ras on the phone she has no information and says Mark will call me.

With great reluctance, I have to give a very poor review of Richter Roofing.
I maintain our neighborhood's directory of professional service providers from A/C to Xeriscaping.
So recently when I needed emergency roof repair (in an area where we had our solar attic fan and HVAC installed in March 2016), I looked in the list and Richter Roofing was highly recommended by two neighbors. I called them.
I was told that immediate spot repair, if that would fix the problem, would be around $180. I had the crew come out and do that patch.
A few days later, I discovered another leak on our chimney area, and called Richter roofing. I asked that they call me back so we could schedule a check on the roofline - it was not clear exactly where the leak might be. After several attempts - I was able to get through to a woman answering the phone at least 3 times - and trying Ras' phone, I have to date NOT got a single reply back.

I cannot recommend a service provider that does not have the professional courtesy to return a phone call after several attempts.

Richter roofing did an amazing job at my home here in Burbank. Mark and his crew were timely, professional and clean. Their price was very affordable and fair as well. Mark has a great eye and vision for exactly what we wanted. They did some repairs, built a cricket, new facia on my tool room and were done in 3 1/2 days. Highly recommend Mark and Crew.

I'm looking at 5 star reviews on this company and wondering why my experience was so AWFUL! This company was highly recommended. We needed our skylights looked at as there was gunk collecting in the tubes. My first initial phone contact was with Mark. He sold me on wanting to use his company. Everything went downhill after that call. He said he would come out and see what the problem might be, I did not need to be home and he should be able to do the spot check within a few days. One week passed, no word. So I called the company, left my # and the girl said someone would get back with me. Another week passes, still no call. Call again, now she tells me that he'll send a quote for the repair. I told he that I would like to speak to whomever did the check, as I'm not sure what they found. Again, left my #, she said someone would call me back. Another week passes, still no call. Call again, same response. Wants my # and someone will call me back. I now have a portion of my skylight tube protruding up from my roof, as a worker came out, said he recommended replacing and would have to remove to get measurements. Fine, but why wasn't it pushed back down?? NEVER, EVER have I witnessed a company that DOES NOT want your business! And how they are getting such fabulous reviews is astounding! I would never recommend them. Am going with another company, who returns phone calls, comes out when they say, and provides quotes when asked.

Called them up to do a roof replace on a garage, they came out Monday morning on time, they did an outstanding job and even put in two roof vents on the garage. They did a great job cleaning up all the mess, I was very pleased. Thank you mark and your guys for all your hard work. -Vince's Plumbing

Richter Roofing made our roof replacement a pleasant experience! I'm not related to them, have no interest in their company, received no freebies, but I want to say that Greg and Mark and their team did a great job on our home, and better than that are great folks to work with. We had several trades working at the same time, and they were very good at working with others to arrange schedules. Reasonable price, done quickly, done well.
