Customers should be aware that Richey Roofing only warranties NEW ROOFS for labor and leaks for 5 years. Also, that warranty is Non-transferable to the new owners if you sell your house. These are very important considerations when investing tens of thousands of dollars on a new roof.

New roof installed 4/2016. Leaking significantly now in 2024. I called and the receptionist told me my roof was still under warranty. YAYYYY!!! But then Jonny (owner) called back and said it wasn't, because it's only for 5 years and not transferable. I don't have the original contract in hand yet, but have requested from previous owners, and will verify if this is true or not. Super disappointing when people don't stand behind their work. Furthermore, He refused to come out at all, even to give me an estimate to repair the leak. He ignored all of my calls.

As a real estate agent, I will NOT be recommending this company to my clients.

I recommend RESCUE ROOFER out of Manteca, who replaced four faulty roof vents and sealed everything up, for a reasonable price. Tim performed the inspection/estimate, and the repair all in one day! When I am ready to build my ADU later this year, I will be reaching out to Rescue Roofer for my roof. For reference, their warranty is 15 years.

I had other contractors, who never showed up, McDonald's estimated $6,000 for the work. Richey showed up estimated $99.99. Did the work, guaranteed it and left. I am so pleased.

Richey Roofing was the last contractor to provide me an estimate and they were the only one (of 4) that walked me through their pricing in the estimate. As an electrician, I appreciated this step the most. A company that is going to ask you to pay them tens of thousands of dollars should be willing to spend some time with you to discuss the pricing. The 3 other contractors struggled with english, and since my spanish is horrible.. there was not much to talk about. Richey started on time, handled everything, and at the end of the job I paid the quoted price. As far as pricing, Richey was the best price as well as the best value and that was also important. I have no interest in roofing this house again while I live in it, and Richey Roofing made that a reality.

We had to have a roof replaced on a house we were selling. Richey Roofing gave a competitive price and a timeframe. Fortunately, they were able to get us in earlier. The Crew showed up on time each day and were very courteous and friendly. They also worked in a very safe manner. They answered questions we had and showed us where the issues were so that we knew what work needed to be done. They kept the area clean throughout the day and did a final clean-up each night to check for nails in the grass and flowerbeds. We had to do a change order due to dry rot and that was also very reasonably priced. We definitely recommend Richey Roofing. The owner, office staff, and work crew were all great to work with and the new roof looks amazing!

Richey Roofing helped my mom out with a leak in her roof and she had rave reviews for the whole team! She said He was the only one to call her back, followed up, and had the work done in an incredibly timely fashion. On top of that, EVERYONE was incedibly nice and helpful. Work kept getting delayed because of rain, but he kept her updated and made sure she knew that he had not forgotten about her. So great!

We contracted Richey Roofing to replace a 40+ year old tile roof that was poorly installed when the home was built. Johnny Richey and his crew did a phenomenal job with the tear down and construction of the new roof. Professional from first contact to end of the job. There wasn't even a trace of them ever being there when the job was completed. Price was kept within our budget for roof and new powder coated gutters. Clean, polite, and professional. I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs!

A+ experience. 5 Starts. Johnny Richey and the rest of the crew were extemely smart and capable when removing old shingles and installing our new roof. They even helped us with some dry-rot and side-pannel replacements. All the work was done on-time, as schedualed, and no overcosts were needed, nor expected! All of the crew members were very helpful, prompt, and exceeded our expectations with their interactions, politeness and friendliness (even though we have a big dog inside, they were great). The crew cleaned the property every day after they were finished and would let us know about what had been done and what still needs to be accomplished. They have fair pricing we would most certantialy recomened Johnny Richey and all of his crew for any roofing needs.

I contracted Richey Roofing a few years ago. After a strong rain we sprung a leak in the northeast corner of our master bedroom ceiling. My home has an old Spanish tile roof which was destined to have issues. Jerry Garcia, Field Supervisor, came to the place and diagnosed the problem replacing the paper and adjusting the roofing tiles. I hired a drywall repairman and painter to repair the damage in the bedroom. The first winter after the repair the ceiling looked damp. Succeeding winters the drip returned. I have made several attempts to contact Johnny Richey both on his business and cellphone. I have left messages for Jerry Garcia, his Field Supervisor as well. As I explained in my messages to Mr. Richey I was sure we were outside the window of any guaranteed work. I was calling because he was familiar with the problem having done the work and would he take a second look at it even if it was at my expense. A week is enough time to get a response. A simple ""not interested"" would have been fine. No one likes to be ignored. Future customers should be very concerned about ""...service after the sale.""
