Ric and his team installed our roof 22 years ago. We were experiencing an issue with the leaf guard gutters that were installed several years after the roof. While the leaf guard technician was fixing the gutter he noted a nail was lifting one of the shingles. We called Ric, he came out the next day. He provided a thorough walk over inspection of the entire roof, evaluation report and fixed the nail. Even after so many years after install, there was no charge. We will recommend Ric Olstad to anyone in need of a new roof or repair.

Amazing quality of work and service, competitive pricing, fast, and knowledgeable. You can tell they've been doing this for decades!

Years ago, we had Ric replace the roof on a carport. We told him to let us know when he was going to be working on it so we could move our custom truck that was parked there. Instead of having us move the truck, he and his crew placed a canvas cover over the truck to ""protect"" it, then proceeded to drop a large piece of wood on the bed rail and hit the back of the cab as well, denting the truck. When I asked about the damage, Ric denied everything and I got stuck with the repair bill.

Let this be a warning to everyone thinking of doing business with Ric.

Ric Olstad is an arrogant, dishonest contractor. He asked for payment that exceeded the contract by 30%. There is a leak around the skylight and gutter. My calls to him are ignored. The new roof was put on in 2016.
We are senior citizens. Ric Olstad roofing is a business to avoid.

Ric Olstad Roofing performed a Class 'A' job replacing my roof. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work and all neighbor comments have been positive. Ric inspected my roof, discussed my needs and goals (energy savings), prepared a professional estimate (with priced options), obtained the permit, performed the work promptly (with no 'mess'), and did not want payment until I was completely satisfied.

I left messages with this business for 6 days and never got a return call. I guess they don't need any more business. Very disappointing. I needed a roof inspection, but I can't wait this long for a return call.

This is not so much a review as it is a warning. Do not do business with Ric Olstad. He tried to charge me $18,480 for the same work a reputable established roofing company is doing for for $1,823!

Ric Olstad wanted me to pay him 10 times the money that he should be charging
I'm a senior citizen living in this house for less than 1 year.
There was a small leak in the tile roof that needed to be fixed and I wanted to replace the rain gutters.

Ric Olstad began by saying ""Your roof is over 50 years old"" ""How do you know that?"" ""I can just tell"" he tells me. He does some vague hand gesture to the right, ""I did the gutters on that house."" Same vague hand movement to the left"" and I did the gutters on that house."" Ric Olstad then claims that he met the previous owner who was looking for advice from Ric Olstad. He goes on at great details about these conversations. Then he goes on the roof, stomps around for a while ""It's just what I suspected. The roof is in such in terrible shape - But the good news is that we can reuse the tiles!"" When you think about it, it makes no sense how the roof, according to Ric Olstad, is so decrepit, so ancient but the tiles can be removed & put back no problem. Roof tiles are notorious for being easy to break. So Ric Olstad was not going to remove & redo the roof. He was going to pretend to do the work & try to get me to pay him $9,000.00 for my own roof!

The entire interview with Ric Olstad was like that with things that didn't make sense, if you stopped to think about what he was saying. But when ""Proposal"" came from Ric Olstad it was fraud. He did everything to make it look like the entire charge was $9,000. But if you read carefully, & think about it (again) you come up to $18,480!
I'm confident that he would come up with other expenses as the work went on. Ric Olstad counts on you to not think about it. And Ric Olstad counts on the elderly to be forgetful, confused, & fearful.

Ric Olstad is a bad dude.

Had a very old wood shingle roof with multiple layers. They tore it off in one day and worked extra hours on a Saturday morning just to make sure we could have my kids birthday party outside. Roof and price were great.

Had a composite roof installed about 16 years ago. Already had to have it replaced as the tiles failed due to insufficient venting.

When the roof was new, it immediately leaked. Rather than fix it correctly with flashing, a liquid patch was applied. Needless to say, the ceiling under the leak collapsed inside my house six years later. Ric Olstad was unresponsive until I threatened legal action. He was difficult to work with and I ended up paying all internal costs just to make him go away. Do yourself a favor and stay clear.

I was extremely happy with Vezer Roofing.
