Absolutely the best customer service. I had a leak from the last two rains.I was fearful that the money for a new roof would be a hardship. Called Ron he was in the neighborhood and came by. He was able to discern the problem and told me that I have a good roof and leak was coming from the attached solar panel, which would be a quick fix. I decided, I also wanted a roof tuneup. Ron right away calmed my fears and is Man of his word. Don't hesitate to give him a call.
My experience belongs to the reliable roof company in Southern California, but I see that the company also has Northern California branch as they share the same website and contact email. First of all, I am not a direct customer of reliable roof company, but they worked on my next door house in Lake Forest. They have been working for two months already which seems pretty slow, and it has been a nightmare for us. They consistently drop bunch of loose nails, waterproofing papers, green circle plastics, vinyls to our sideyard. To keep my kids safe, I had to pick the dangerous trashes everyday. On 06/29, they even dropped several roof tiles from 20ft+ high roof to my sideyard while I was cleaning my kayak there. Luckily I was away from there for few minutes cleaning other components of kayak, and tiles didn't hit my head, but tiles did hit my kayak, leaving many deep scratches and gouges. My kayak is 2013 Hobie Oasis Tandem Kayak (New MSRP $4449+tax), and Hobie only carries luxury end. I know that accidents can happen, and I was expecting apologies for the damage and promises for carefulness. It was almost impossible to get reach of the actual manager of the crews. The crew said the manager will come within 20 mins, and it didn't happen. I got their manager(Tony)'s number, and called in. Tony said I need to work with his manager, Sam. Sam called me after an hour, and he said I need to talk to the field manager. Field manager called me, and he said he will have his guys to immediately clean up my sideyard, tarp our sideyard to protect from dangerous droppings, and also give them a notice to be extra careful. I waited for another hour, and nothing happened. I called Sam again, and the crew finally came to clean up my sideyard, but did not tarp protect the yard. The field manager also told me that they will finish job by 07/02. As of now 07/15, they are still working, and they never had my sideyard tarped any single day. I had to consistently ask them to pick up nails and trashes from my sideyard. Today, they dropped tiles again from 20ft+ high roof, leaving marks to my concrete steps. I called Sam just now, and he said he will tarp protect my sideyard, and will finish the job today. I already know that this is not going to be happening. I can immediately tell that this company is careless, dishonest, slow and not communicative. I have extensive experience with contractors from my three fixer houses in the past. There are three major factors when hiring a contractor: Quality, Time, and Price. You would be lucky to find a contractor that meets all three, but you should hire one at least capable of two. I cannot comment on the price because I did not hire them, but I can tell these guys fail quality and time. Believe me, read the reviews and don't be a victim of the reliable roof company, they are not reliable at all! I've also worked with few other roof companies for my own fixers, and they were far superior than this company.
This company is a rip off, they just want to take advantage of you and charge extremely high amounts. They lie and say they can get the job done quickly. They lie about giving you a discount because of another near by job that they will use those workers to start right away, this is just a trick to take the roof off and then leave you waiting for a permit, that they never requested. Each of their project managers/supervisors just wants to find more work to do on the roof so they can increase the price. They over charge everything, don't clean up well, and to top it off they want to keep the deposit for themselves, basically trying to steal the deposit. They are horrible, the worst company I ever dealt with. I would give them a negative star if I could. It is sad how this company just takes advantage of people in need of home repairs.
Somehow got my name from Angie's List and inveigled an appointment to come out. Wanted both people on the title of my house to be there for the initial inspection--this immediately made me back out. I've had several other roofing companies come out and no one has asked for this. Be careful!
Needed an inspection for a quote to fix a small roof leak. Instead, two sales guys show up and spend the entire time trying to justify and sell a new (and completely unnecessary) $40k to $80k roofing paper job. They were 1-of-5 roofing companies to come out, the only one who couldn't identify where the ($1,100 ave repair quote) leak coming from.
Hired this company and they did what they promised. Appears to have completed the work properly. But unfortunately the price they gave me and that I agreed to allowed me to be overcharged. They spent 2 hours with 2 men doing the work and charged me over $2,000. Unfortunately, I agreed to the price and I paid them, but they overstated what the work was that was needed. The work they charged me for should have been in the $750 range. I would not recommend them.
The roofers came and spoke with my husband, who felt pressured to sign a contract but because he wanted the job done, he hired them.
The guys showed up and removed the old shingles and the covering on the flat roof. They did not put a tarp or additional cover on the flat roof. That night it rained and there were 11 places where the water dripped from the roof into the living room. Luckily, I was home and put out plastic tablecloths and bowls and caught most of it. Our insurance adjuster came out and said some water had dripped into the attic, but it was minimal.
Then later, when they put the new roof cover on the flat roof they used nails that were too long and we had 132 holes in our wood ceiling from nail points. They did not cover the furniture in the living room that day, and we had dust and debris all over the furniture and the floor. I cleaned it up at the end of the day and got asevere sinus infection at 1 AM. I got medication the next morning. They did finally fix and repaint the ceiling. Finally, when they put the skylights back in the kitchen area after roofing, they crackedthe paint in large areas of the skylights. Nobody came in to check what it looked like.
It was a nightmare.
Roofing job was done professionally and promptly. Only draw back is this outfit is expensive.
Easily the worst company that I have worked with...ever! Deceptive sales tactics, lies and misinformation, and shoddy work. I had to stay on them to ensure that they were even going to show up when they said that they would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
This company is a ripoff!!! I canceled a contract with them for a roofing job because I realized it was way more than my budget could afford and Reliable Roofing kept my $1000 deposit for ""prep work"". I don't think putting a couple pieces of plastic and spray painting the roof warrants a $1500 charge! When trying to cancel they tried to convince me not to cancel and offered to go down in price by almost 50%. That makes me wonder if the original quote was way off base???
My budget is limited as I am on a fixed income since my husband passed away a few months ago and I feel they took advantage of the situation with what seemed like a high pressure sales tactic.
They also said the same things as Tom S.'s post in that they had a crew nearby so it would greatly reduce the cost of my roof. After trying to cancel the project manager seemed very anxious for me not to cancel.
I am glad I canceled but I am still out $1000. SMH!
