My experience with RC Roofing was nothing short of fantastic. Rick provided a quote very promptly and answered any questions I had to get me comfortable with the scope of work. Once that was out of the way, I found that the whole entire team very professional and swift with their work. Any issues that popped up were summarized clearly and addressed quickly. Rick even helped to point out some bad work that another company did with the solar reinstall job I had after the roof was compete. All said, I am a happy customer and would provide RC Roofing my business again in the future.

Used RC roofing for a lift and tile relay for our home about 12 years ago. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and the crew were fantastic. We had one minor issue with one of the tile vents a couple of months after install and Rick came out and fixed it immediately. Roof is still going strong, highly recommended.

RC Roofing is an outstanding Roofing Company. I own a 3 unit condo in Pacific Beach. We needed a new roof to replace our 30 year old composition roof. I called RC Roofing and Two other Contractors to give me a bid. Nick from RC Roofing came out and measured the job and said he would email the bid in a day . He did ,it was right in the middle price wise between the other contractors.. I chose RC Roofing because of how organized the company was, very detailed.
The people who worked on the job were numerous, they work well as a crew. They completed the job on time and did a good cleanup. I worked with Nick who was job supervisor. I would highly recommend RC Roofing to people looking for a Fair Price and quality workmanship

Rick's company came highly recommended by a relative. From our first contact Rick and his team were very professional, knowledgeable, diligent and courteous. We agreed with Rick that new underlay and new tiles would be installed on our nearly 40 year old roof, plus any termite damaged wood would be replaced with new wood that he would paint if needed (visible fascia). He gave us a very reasonable estimate.
Once the old tiles and underlay were removed it was obvious that there was a lot of damaged wood. My wife could see its deterioration as it was brought down to the driveway!
Rick's team did an excellent job with quality workmanship, turning up on time each day and cleaning up at the end of the day. Attention to detail was great. For example, cracks in our 2 skylights were noticed and repaired with sealants.
Rick was great with communication and updates so that there were no surprises when the work was completed on schedule and the final invoice was submitted to us. It was good value for what is a new roof.
Rick was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend his company.

I spoke with a number of roofing companies and even though rc was not the cheapest. They were absolutely a pleasure to work with. Clear communication and follow up during the entire process. On time and clearly outlined, budget, estimate etc. Attention to detail, neighbors and HAO restrictions made the project easy from a homeowners point of view. If you are needing a roofer in SD please contact them, highly recommend.

Rick is a class act and a real professional. I had two neighbors use his services for brand new roofs in the last six months....and he came highly recommended. He identified immediately what my roofing problem was and knew exactly what I needed to do to fix it.
His proposal and contract was detailed and lenghly, which was impressive and shows he stands behind his work.
RC Roofing offers a high quality IB PVC system for flat roofs like mine. I had a lot of questions about this process and Rick was very patient answering all of them by phone and by email at all hours.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to others like my neighbors did to me.

Update. 4 years on the roof still looks great. We had an issue with one of the gutters. Gutter company claimed it was the roof. Without hesitation Rick came out to inspect. The problem is now solved. It turned out to be the gutter, the roof was still perfect. Great long term support, just what you need for something as important as the roof of your house. I would continue to recommend RC roofing without hesitation.

(Well, they sure responded to my review quickly.)

I stand by what I said. I sent an email and they didn't respond. Maybe they missed it. As Rick said, ""It does happen and may have been possible in this case, your email got missed..."". If you are running a business you should be able to take reasonable care to prevent that from happening. If it does happen you're going to take the hit. You earned it.

(Or maybe the job was too small and they didn't want to even bother responding.)

Could I have called? Yes, but they had already made a bad impression. Do I want to deal with a company that is lax on communication and with which I have to make extra effort to get through?

So they have a rating of 4.8 with 116 reviews. Not bad. And not perfect. They are not perfect. What I described is what happened. Others have a right to know. They can judge for themselves.

Others can also see that after what was almost certainly at least a slip-up on their part their reaction is to attack my character.
