Needed a new roof for a small rental property. It's a twin home (attached at garage wall) so needed to get a rate for the entire roof across both properties. Mike from Raneri and Long was very accommodating, both for price and for time frame.

As soon as we got the contract signed, they were out the next day, and the whole roof was put on and in beautiful shape within 2 1/2 days. The workers were great, they cleaned up everything on the property before they left.

We upgraded one click from the rest of the rooves in the community and people are complimenting us on how nice it looks.

Couldn't ask for anything more. Smooth and easy, great job completed.

Great Experience!! My Mom owns half a duplex in a Senior Citizens community. When she and her roof-mate decided to have the roof and gutters done, R&L was one of the companies who bid the job. Decision to go with them was based on quality and professionalism. When you're talking about plunking down $$ for a roof; you WANT a company who will stand behind the work (and not disappear by next week). This is a solid company with a good reputation.

Everyone was polite and helpful. The owners and management I spoke with at HQ as well as the workmen on the job site. Mom said they were wonderful and clean workers -- they cleaned up every little bit of debris and left the place spic and span.

It can be a big decision to invest in a new roof - and it's not one you want to regret. Glad we went with Dave, Mike and the crew at Raneri & Long.

Dave will kiss your face when he first gets your job but be aware, this man does not advise you if your roof has a structural problem, which was the case with me, instead of advising me to restructure the roof so the water will drain, he said nothing, when I had problems with the roof he came to see it, he went off like a mad man, yelling and screaming at me, so much so that I asked him to leave. For the job he did, I could have hired any unskilled laborer and do the same work he did for me.

I used Raneri and Long back in 2005 to install a new roof. I was tremendously pleased with the the work they did then. Very professional, excellent workers who obviously cared about the final product. Well, now in 2013, I have a leak (which is NOT due to the roofers.....I live in an old house, which has shifted a bit). I called them up and they came THE SAME DAY to fix the problem! How many roofing companies would ever do that?! They are not making any additional money from this, and they are just as friendly and hard working as they were back in 2005. Dave and his crew are fantastic. I now see that they do windows....this is the company I will be using for that job. You want a company who will stand behind their product and guarantees, even years later. Dave Hancock and his company do this. I highly recommend them!!!!

Michael, our neighbor, Gary, referred you to us and are we glad he did. Hubby, Joe, and I never thought we would be raving about a roofing company, however, we were so impressed with you and your crew, that I had to post a review. In three days, we went from having a leaky, dry-rot roof, to having a beautiful brown roof. Friends driving by have commented on how nice our house looks now. We also painted the trim to match the roof and our house looks brand new. Your crew pulled off the old roof on Monday, removed all the old stuff, and even blew the driveway so everything remained need and tidy. Tuesday, the new roof was installed, all the dry-rot replaced, and by Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m., our new roof was complete.
Thank you so much. Your price was ""very"" reasonable considering everything that needed replacing. We can't wait til summer to start on the windows and two sliders. Just had a difficult roofing job completed by R&L. Super high quality work and they fixed some unknown problems at no extra charge. Very timely and left the site complete and clean. Lower price than bigger name places and higher than mom & pop places. The best is the lifetime guarantee because of the products we used and R&L is certified to install the roofing products. Would use them again, but I think I'll never need to....sweet.

Dave took care of me like I was family. This company is the best roofing company in SOCAL. They worked with me and my budget and came up with several different options. All that and a 25 year warranty to boot. great work crew. they replaced boards and if they needed repainted they got repainted. no questions asked.

Most of the contractors in San Diego just suck. I don't know if it's the laid back lifestyle or what, but they have the worst work ethic of any city I have ever lived in, bar none.

This is a different type of company, though. They are laid back and relaxed, but in a friendly but professional way. Mike came out and gave me a bid for tearing out and reinstalling a new gutter system and fascia all around my house. I also wanted them to repair a lot of small termite damage and some rafters that the previous owners didn't resolve.

His bid was accurate and he actually sent it over when he said he would. (This is a first for me.) And the price was actually fair. He set the appointment and the guys actually showed up when he said they were going to. I know it seems like I'm making a big deal out of the fact that this company did everything it said it would do, but that just goes to show... sad that it is so uncommon today that anyone who does is considered exceptional.

Mike also did the bid in a fair way and never tried to convince me that I needed more work done than what was actually necessary.

The guys did a great job and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work and even did a few extra things that weren't on the bid. The one piece of treated lumber (that attached to a new awning I had installed by another company- See Win-Dor) only had one coat of paint on it and you can still see green through it now even after they came back and painted it again, but overall they did a phenomenal job. The outside of the house looks almost brand new now because of the seamless gutters. Very impressive.

I am usually extremely critical of contractors because I think most of them suck ass. They usually over charge, over promise, under deliver, and basically just piss you off for a lot of money.

That is not how this company operates.
I would highly recommend Raneri and Long for any roof/gutter type work you need done.

I really appreciated the work that Raneri and long did for the repair on our home. They were considerate - they even covered up a portion of exposed roof so that it wouldn't be open overnight! They were prompt and the quality of work was excellent!
