Lauro Ramos came for the estimate and we reached agreement. The crew came the following day and fixed the leaking. They also agreed that if the same area leaking again, they will come out to fix it at no additional charge.
Overall, I had a very positive experience with this business.

Ramos Roofing will over estimate the cost & scope of work needed & charge you regardless. I had a minor leak that needed attention & Lauro Ramos came to look at the job. He gave me an estimate of $2800 with an expectation it would take 2 guys all day to complete and if they can't finish in one day, they would complete the next morning. The next day, his 2 guys showed up and completed the work in 3 1/2 hours, but I was still presented with an invoice of $2800. A total scam.

I called with an urgent request to fix a leak in my roof. I notified him that it was a foam roof and he said he could repair it. I paid $800 and when it rained that night, it was still leaking. I sent a message with a video recording of the leak and he said he would get back to me. I waited a week (fortunately it didn't rain) but when I didn't hear back, I finally reached out to the original Dura-Foam company. They told me that Ramos had basically patched it with $5 oil-based sealer from Home Depot, which had melted as it was around a heating vent (which I had mentioned!) and they thankfully scraped away the cheap sealer, patched the hole and even gave me a spare bottle in case I needed to repair it again.

So Ramos had purchased Jay's Roofing, which is now closed.... Here is my review of Ramos when he was working as ""Jay's Roofing"".... This was two years around, but it makes we angry everytime I see my back roof. He SUPER ripped us off and did such a poor job. He didn't even use full packs off roofing, just whatever space (non-matching) shingles he had. It looks so horrible, but I can't afford to replace it now

Like others, we had previously wonderful experiences with Jay (would give him 5 stars), but when we recently had a roof leak and called Jay, we got Ramos. I just learned from other reviews that Jay retired and Ramos took over (Ramos just told me he worked for Jay). Ramos was quick to come over and give us a quote, but we definitely felt fleeced ($900 to fix a leak that took him 3 hours to fix, with probably $150 worth of material). Ignorantly, we did not shop around.

He fixed the leak, however, he took no effort to match the shingle colors. He personally used 3 different colors of shingles on an approximately 75 sq ft patch. It looks horrible. When I asked him about why the tiles didn't match, he said that home depot was really low in inventory. However, I went to home depot later that evening and saw they had PLENTY of shingles that were almost identical to the rest of my roof. The only explanation I could come up with is that (1) he lied, and (2) he just used whatever 'left over' roofing materials he had remaining from previous jobs.

Definitely not impressed and will not use again.

I had my roof done by Ramos' crew in 2014. This January, my husband noticed a leak in the attic. We called Ramos to come take a look and he came by the next day to go on the roof and re-caulk around the roof jack. After the most recent storm, the same spot is still leaking, so I need to call him back, but I wanted to write a review for the timeliness of his response and that he stands by the guarantee of his work.
