Rainy Day Roofing was a subcontractor on my Solar Installation project.
I found their office staff to be extremely helpful, got back to me when they said they would and worked very hard to get the job done. I also found their field people to be knowledgeable and hard working. When they left the job, it was cleaned up no damage and they bothered to ask if there was anything else they could do for us. I'm a former general contractor who has built hundreds of homes and apartment projects. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Jerry K. Fountain Valley

I spent about a month trying to get this company to do the roof repair I needed and they would not send me a contract I was patient while they moved offices and I was give a quote a few times but no one gave me a contract so I found an other company who within a hour gave me the contract and two days later started the project

I connected with Rainy Day through my solar company to replace my roof prior to the solar install. From the first contact, I was extremely happy. Nancy coordinated everything and kept me in the loop.

The crew showed up on time and were very polite and professional. They got to work immediately and worked nearly eight days to replace my roof. They gave me frequent updates and what I should expect next.

Once they completed the work, the roof was inspected and passed city inspection immediately.

The team cleaned up the work site before they left. As a guy that did roofing in my younger years, I know this was a big project being performed in the height of summer.

I cant speak to the other reviewer situations, but my project went off without a hitch.

Would give zero stars if that would be an option. I have had the worst possible experience with this roofing company. They installed a new roof, prior to solar panels installation. The roof was fine prior to their installation. Rainy Day roofing in fact damaged our roof such that our entire house flooded due to multiple leaks! They have refused to compensate or reimburse us for a single penny and have been entirely unresponsive. Please do yourself a favor and never use this company.

Rainy day roofing claims they will complete work that they started. Then they disappear and refuse the do any more work. Unprofessional and untrustworthy. There are too many good roofers in California to waste your money on their service.

I would highly recommend Rainy Day Roofing! They came to our house to do repairs on our roof before we installed solar panels by Sunrun. They were onetime, professional, covered our pool, and made sure our yard was immaculate when they left. They even left some back up tiles for us to use in the future incase one was broken. Mike is a man of his word, who stands by the work his crews do. Two months after he completed the job, the property insurance company, purchased when we bought our house, was giving us trouble and he stepped in to help us even though he didn't have to and he wasn't getting paid. To me this speaks volumes to the character of this company and that's why I will always trust Rainy Day Roofing to handle any of my roofing problems.

Rainy Day Roofing is the best roofing company around! They have great customer service and are more than willing to help you with whatever you need. Eddie is the main sales rep and he was always willing to answer my calls and any questions I had. The quality of work that they did is impressive and they certify it all with a warranty. I would recommend to anyone!

Rainy Day Roofing turned a $3000 roofing project into an $18,000 repair for me. I would never recommend Rainy Day Roofing or Solar City/Tesla to anyone. Not only did they leave the yard a mess with tar paper, nails, etc, they managed to leave a mess on the inside by throwing tons of debris down the whole house fan. They damaged the flue on my roof so when the rains came in the winter the furnace was ruined. After months of dealing with Solar City and Rainy Day they decided to stop returning calls and emails. They wouldn't even return a call to the Better Business Bureau...I was hoping their bad workmanship and business practices had finally put them out of business.

We purchased a $38,000 solar system for our home in Santa Barbara, from Solar City/Tesla. They advised we needed a new roof and they contracted with Rainy Day Roofing, and they proved to be particularly terrible: they dented our gutters with their ladders, trampled our landscaping, left approx. 100 used roofing nails strewn around the perimeter of our home, and didn't adequately install flashing around our three skylights, which then leaked water inside our home and damaged interior walls, carpeting, and personal items. Rainy Day Roofing came out and corrected the flashing issue, but tried to blame the water leaks on the skylights, which had not leaked prior to their re-roofing job. Solar City/Tesla claimed it was Rainy Day Roofing's liability, Rainy Day Roofing claimed it was the skylight's failure, and so we got stuck with an $800 dehumidifier bill, as well as paying our tenant, a nurse, for her $1100 laptop and $400 in medical supplies that were damaged/ruined by the water leak into her living space. That's $2300 out of our retirement reduced income, heavily affected by chemo and radiation expenses for my husband's cancer. No one at Solar City/Tesla cared to assist us with resolution of this issue with their roofing contractor, they advised us ""We're sorry, but we've closed your case."" I'm too busy dealing with my husband's medical needs to take the companies to Small Claims Court, but I am VERY disappointed that we purchased our solar system from such an uncaring and unprofessional company, who chose to allow their sub-contractor to treat their customer with so little respect. Absolute thumbs down for both Rainy Day Roofing and Solar City!!!
