Our roof was in desperate need of replacement. We noticed a leak after a storm and RainOway came out and tarp the roof. Once the weather cleared up they came out and quickly got to work. The crew was extremely professional and the work was excellent. They even hand crafted the gutters and downspouts on site. It was super cool to watch, everything looks amazing, I couldn't be happier.

Double check the work before you pay and before they leave. Run water in the gutters to make sure they actually drain. Gutters on my house haven't drained properly since installed YEARS AGO by rainowa.
Have been waiting months for someone to even respond or schedule a date to return.
I hate to write a bad review for a small business but that's the way it's gotta be sometimes I guess.

I can truly say that rain o way has done an absoloute incredible job on my house. I had some barge rafters replaced and all new seamless rain gutters. The owner Mike really goes out of his way to make sure everything is right and perfect when the job is being performed. He is a contractor who actually cares. I was so happy with my new roof in 2015 that I've since hired Mike's crew to replace the roof at a rental property in 2016, and repair the roof at another rental in 2020.
His crew kept a safe & tidy job site. Mike handled all the permits and City inspections. He coordinated with the HVAC sub on my roof that I was replacing the roof heating unit at the same time.

In late 2019 I had a neighbor's redwood tree fell over and damaged my roof. On top of that, I had some pre-existing roof damage (been leaking inside) that needed repairs. I ultimately decided to choose Rainoway Roofing after contacting five other roofing contractors, none of which will ever earn my business. Two of them flaked and never showed up. One of those two texted me a day after I called/texted him asking where he was at? Another contractor came out and showed no care for my roofing issues. He didn't even bother to go on top of the roof to give me an accurate assessment of the damages that needed repairs. All he told me was that he's very busy and the cost will range from $xxx to $xxx. One other contractor came out and tried to BS me on a bunch of things including how he was licensed for repairs. A quick search on the State website showed that to be false.

My initial repairs were done in January of 2020. It took a total of three days to rip out the tiles, replace the wood, replace the underlayment, and repaint (color matched) certain boards and gutters. Oh they also cleaned out all the gunk and debris on the roof and in the gutters. Here's my initial review:

Response & Customer Service - A+! Mike and Heather are the owners of Rainoway Roofing, Inc. I communicated with them over the phone, text message, and emails. There were several times where their responses were either immediate or within a few hours. Each interaction was pleasant. Mike and Heather displayed a high level of professionalism while being calm, cool, and casual. They met all of their commitments. I never felt uneasy about whether or not the repair was going to be done on time or done at all.

A+ for honesty! During my multiple interactions with Mike and Heather, I've never felt like I was going to be ripped off or up-sold to something that I didn't need. The details of the repairs, including the price, were written on a contract and I was given time to review. As I mentioned above, I had other contractors come out for a quote and you can smell the BS coming from some of those contractors.

Value/Quality- A-! Mike and Heather initiated quoted me a reasonable price to get everything fixed. I provide them a cheaper quote from another contractor and they even matched the price! Many contractors won't do that. If they do, they'd have to cut corners! Not necessarily a bad thing but the only reason why this element didn't get an A+ is because Mike's workers didn't quite clean up after themselves after they left. They don't normally clean gutters but Mike offered it to me for a price I couldn't refuse. When his crew left, there was gutter debris all over my walls and garage door. It took me 10 minutes to spray it down with my hose, which wasn't a big deal to me. However, some people may not have the luxury of doing so before the debris sticks on hard.

UPDATE 2021: Thursday 1/28/21 - We just went through a huge wind and rain storm this week. I noticed a water leak coming down the walls near my front window and door. This was the same leak that was supposed to have been repaired last year. I emailed Rainoway and they replied back the next day (Friday) stating that Mike will contact me with a date/time to come out. Mike wanted to come out Saturday but we opted for Monday 2/1/21. Anyway, surprise surprise! Mike showed up on time and said he was going to fix the issue at no cost. I was only expecting a quick assessment but NOPE I was wrong. Mike and his guys was on my roof pounding away for two hours to get the issues fixed. It turned out that there may have been other leaks that were either missed or water was pooled up from debris around the valley and skylight. Either way, it didn't bother me because they fixed it for free. Can you imagine if it was another contractor? They would've tried to BS their way through and tried to charge again. Way to go for your customer service Rainoway!!

Overall, I'm happy with Rainoway's service. I would recommend them to anyone in the Sacramento region needing small or major roofing repairs.

I would not use this company. I was referred to Rain O Way through a friend. He said the husband-wife duo was his neighbor and they'd fixed his roof as well as sever others in the neighborhood. Great, I thought. I called and spoke to the wife. She said her husband would get right back to me by email. When I didn't hear back, I emailed them again. The wife said they'd get back to me that day. When I didn't hear back I emailed them again two days later and heard nothing, ever. If you are going to be in the service industry, I believe customer service is pretty important. They ended up wasting my time and delaying my repairs and didn't follow through. I would not use them.
