We have nothing but great things to say about Rain Defense. From my first phone call to Rain Defense, I was helped by a human, not an answering machine. Within 5 minutes of my initial phone call, I was on the phone with Mike (Owner)! Mike took my numerous phone calls and answered my questions and followup emails with questions. He was always super helpful, responsive and patient with us. When we finally decided to contract with Rain Defense to replace our roof, they made it possible for a team to come out the next day! When the team came to our house to do the roof, they were punctual, professional and super clean and courteous. Jose, from the team kept us posted of the copping that we ended up adding to the roof, he texted, called and emailed me to let us know when we could expect them. All in all, we are very happy with our new roof, HUGE thank you to Rain Defense, Mike and the team!!

Mike and Rain Defense installed a new, waterproof deck for us about 2 years ago, and did a great job, created a beautiful deck for us. I recently noticed some minor surface marks at the flashing edge of the deck, called Mike who came out with the West Coast rep, assured me that there was no potential leak issue, offered to grind out and re-coat the area if we wished, and in short left me feeling 100% assured that I made the right decision to go with Rain Defense. I think Mike and Rain Defense are top flight and excellent go to professionals who have proved they stand by their product. I highly recommend them, once again.

When it rains you do need defense against leaks, and Mike and his team are the ones to go with.
Had a leak, that was dripping into our kitchen, called Rain Defense and Mike sent out a crew that was clean, neat and got the job done right the first time.

Do not trust them. They suggested spending almost $20,000 for one small window leak by changing all windows even though they weren't leaking, instead of just sealing the windows with caulk or New flashing. They didn't even bother to propose a more efficient and economical method.

Even after spending $20,000, they will only warranty their work for three years. Many other companies provide a 10 year warranty, and window companies provide a 20+ year warranty.

I don't know how these guys stay in business. I got another bid from someone else and he fixed everything for $500 versus $20,000.

Did not call back, promise to call back the next day. I called back a week later they told me they were too busy to take new customers. Sounds like a great opportunity for them to hire a few more people.

I chose to go with Rain Defense based on their stellar reviews and they were nothing short of spectacular with the level of service and professionalism they provide!

I work with a property management company in the east bay and needed a roofing vendor for a commercial property we manage in Alameda. ALL of the previous companies I attempted to work with were quite unreliable and unprofessional from the very beginning. This lead to frustration and impatience especially when we needed a prompt and timely response when a active business is operating with a leak in the rain season.

Rain Defense executed and delivered the next day from my service request! They repaired the leak and was very transparent with the findings and recommendations. They were also very prompt with all my requests and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Experience and knowledge are two characteristics that this company exemplifies and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a roofing company.

We began working with Mike and Rain Defense several years ago for a commercial kitchen floor project that we needed to water proof before laying down tile. The job turned out great and made subsequent work that much easier. His crew were great, courteous, and efficient.

We used them again for some concrete steps refinishing and some roofing maintenance work on our church building and the experience was just as it had been previously. They took the time to match the color to what we wanted and show us examples of the how it would turnout so we could all be on the same page. The work was done to an exceptional level and the crew was efficient and courteous - willing to work around our schedule as we needed building access throughout the week.

Mike wants the job done right and will stand by his work. I will use him for all future roofing and waterproofing work and am more than confident in recommending him and his company.

July 2016 - Rain Defense completed an extensive 5 month project of our roof and roof terrace. My background is in Project Management & have years of experience working with various trades/vendors. I'm demanding and have high expectations. Rain Defense excelled in all areas such as: job analysis, problem solving, design expertise, site protection, execution of all aspects of the project and quality work standards. The Rain Defense team was professional, competent, always prompt, exhibited excellent time management, cleaned job site every day, effective communicators and simply a pleasure to work with.

Working with Rain Defense has been tremendously rewarding! They've finished a roofing job for us that has addressed many years of band-aid treatments by other vendors. At least 15-18 inches of layers but their expert knowledge of the actual problem led to real solutions. The workers were organized, detailed and safety oriented. Professional solution required removing and replacing things in that area. Their artistry is evident in the stunning re-design that created a 180 degree seated view. Previously there had been no view unless you stood up to look over the parapet! The fence/gate/fence installation has perfectly matched gain running through each board from end to end. It's a work of art! Thank you for all your hard work. Definitely recommend Rain Defense!!!

IT's now been 15 months, and all of a sudden out of nowhere I get email from Brian Davids ""Sr. Estimator"" that he's out of the office....who the hell cares, I never Contacted him...still the same old IDIOTS, totally confused, running this company....What a joke and a whole crew of BUFFOONS.
