We had a hard time choosing a company that can handle both our roofing project and solar project.
after interviewing three companies we decided to go with Rafael and Iris especially because of the high knowledge aviv showed us.
The complete project was done in less than a week and now we are just waiting on the city to get the solar running. The price was right up in the middle between the two other contactors but the customer service was just out of this world we were shocked to see that Aviv and his crew were always available to answer all of our questions and they had a thorough cleanup daily

First, we would like to thank Rafael & Iris Roofing for an excellent overall experience.  From the roofing material this company uses to the roofing installers they employ show the quality and standard the company holds over the rest of the roofing companies.  We had multiple bids for our re-roofing project and the estimate provided by Rafael & Iris Roofing was priced very competitively compared to the other proposals we received. We are thankful we selected Rafael & Iris Roofing because Aviv and his team took care of everything.  They obtained the necessary city permit and was available for questions during the inspection. Our final decision to use Rafael & Iris Roofing came down to their company experience, positive testimonials from former customers, a competitive and clearly stated price, and Avi's upfront and friendly manner during our conversations. From the first meeting at our home through the final cleanup, the project was professional and exceptionally well done.  There were no surprises whatsoever. We were impressed by Aviv's industry knowledge and professionalism.  He answered all of our questions and devoted the time necessary to educate us on roofing specifics.  Aviv is honestly one of the most down to earth and friendly owner/contractor we have met.  He is also honest and reliable.  Aviv kept in close contact with us and was extremely responsive throughout the entire project. He is meticulous and passionate about the quality of work he delivers to his clients.  We were home throughout the entire project and checked on progress several times a day. We were so impressed by the team's work rate, focus, and overall professionalism. They were very respectful of our property and arrived on time each day.  Everyone was so polite and worked extremely hard despite the 95+ degree heat.  The team kept the roof debris under control at all times.  We were amazed at how efficiently the team handled the teardown, installation, and cleanup.  We appreciated their attention to details given the many difficult aspects of our steep roof. The team has years of experience under their belts which is reflected in their work. We love our roof and so does many of our neighbors.  We give our highest recommendation for Aviv and his team for their professionalism, value, quality, and customer service.  We truly appreciate you!

First, let me just start off by saying that Yelp does not allow for more than a 5 Star review which is a shame since the services received from Rafael & Iris Roofing deserved more than that. This was our first foray in getting a roof replacement estimate so it could be a quite scary endeavor not knowing the in's & outs of what this project would entail. I met with several different roofing companies which ranged from a lesser estimate amount to a choose an estimate (Good/Better/Best) pricing. Pricing certainly plays a factor but the connection you have the person is priceless and Rafael & Iris Roofing was certainly the right fit for our roofing needs. We met with Aviv who was not only honest and friendly, but he took the time to go over all the details and was certainly prepared to show us that he was licensed, bonded, and insured. That provided us a sense a security that the work would be done right the first and only time. It was no brainer in choosing them to complete our roofing needs. It must have been a sign that I was making the right choice as my first name is the same as the company's. I considered that a bonus point. LOL. And boy, they did not disappoint. The team was punctual each day they worked. They certainly worked extremely hard even when the temperatures were tipping close to 100 degrees in the valley. I don't know how they do it, but they do and do it extremely well. Their cleanliness was superb after each day's end which was important us since we are dealing with roofing nails, and we certainly did not want any of our dogs to be injured from one. Aviv stated that the job would be completed within 5 days, and even with a hiccup of the city inspector rescheduling their visit, they still met that goal. Amazing!!! And what a job they did! I can't say enough about Aviv and his team at Rafael & Iris Roofing. I can now sleep at night for the next 50 years (if, I am still alive then), that my house will be protected. Thank you Aviv and the team! Best investment made and you should do the same by choosing Rafael & Iris for your roofing needs.

Didn't actually have any work done by this company, this review is based on a phone conversation with the owner, Aviv. My mother's home needs fascia boards replaced. While Aviv couldn't provide this service, he spent some time on the phone explaining why, and educating me on roof work. He answered all my questions, including ones pertaining to my own home. Even though I wasn't going to use his services, Aviv was very patient and never made me feel rushed. He provided great information, good advice, and gave me confidence that a previous estimate my mother had already received was fair. Aviv obviously knows his business, and I very much appreciate that he took the time to share his expertise.

We recently bought a 1929 Spanish style house with clay tile roof at the front and flat roof in the back. We met with seven different roofing companies to redo our roof. We knew, based on inspection that two issues: leakage and some rotten wood that needed to be replaced.

Most of the contractors didn't seem to have much knowledge on how the roofing was done back in the 20s, a few contractors were very overpriced just because and one of them just kept adding small costs here and there to try and make more money.

We decided to keep searching and found Rafael and Iris. From the very beginning, Aviv was straightforward, honest and fair. He climbed the roof, explained what needed to be done and basically gave us a free lesson on roofing and answered all of our questions.

Him and his crew were very thorough, clean and detail oriented. They also finished the job on time, although my husband I decided to make a few changes to midway.

Even our next door neighbor sent me a message complimenting how quiet and clean they were, and that she saw them cleaning several times to make sure no nails would be in the yard.

It's not easy to find good and honest contractors out there, so I am glad and relieved that we found Rafael & Iris and worked with them on our project. The ending result is beautiful.

Right from the start, the team at Rafael and Iris was professional and informative, and very responsive. They thoroughly checked the leaking in the roof and determined that a new one was needed. They offered options and helped to get this roof permitted and done quickly. It looks fantastic and ready for a rainstorm. Pros:
Very knowledgeable, professional crew, respecting my house and the surrounding property, straight to the point with no gimmicks, Aviv matched the lowest competitor price and took out $250, everything promised on paper was worked on, cleaned up accordingly at the end of each day, follow up clean up on the completion day.

Cons:
1. The Linear feet (LF) price($4.95) for the wood is kinda high (I have a lot of woods that needed to be replaced after the demolition, it should be negotiated after demo so customer will kno how much to spend)
2. Only given up to 150 Linear feet. Needs to be increased or lower the LF price above.

Overall:

I will recommend Rafael & Iris Roofing to others (I already informed my neighbor's brother who needs 1). The roof looks very nice. Having a new and secured roof always bring joy, safety and increased the value of the house AND can handle up to 120mph wind (IE always have the unpredictable high and strong wind). Plus it's life time warranty with Owens Corning and 5 years on labor with Rafael & Iris. It was a wise business decision for us to select Rafael & Iris Roofing as our contractor that fit our Insurance budget. Take care. ET

After consulting and being disappointed by a few roofing companies, I requested an estimate by Rafael & Iris Roofing, a local company in the North Hollywood area.
I met with Avi and he made the right recommendations to replace a flat area roofing in my commercial multi residential building. He explained thoroughly the layers of material that he would use. His price was reasonable and the quality of workmanship met my expectations. His foreman got the job done promptly and they removed all the debris and left it clean. The office has been very responsive to all my needs. I would highly recommend this company.Thank You!

I recently replaced my leaky flat roof through Rafael & Iris roofing. I've dealt with several contractors for various projects, and this was the most painless experience I've ever had in this space. I got a quote within a couple hours of reaching out, and it was very transparent; other roofers worked a lot of BS charges into theirs, but with Rafael & Iris I knew exactly what I was paying for. It helps that pricing was competitive as well. The roof work was permitted, completed, and inspected within a week. It looks great, and I was given plenty of photos of the progress throughout the process. Payment was easy, everyone was professional, this was totally a 5-star experience. If this roof wears out in a few decades (as all roofs eventually do), I'll be a return customer. In the meantime, I'm recommending this company to anyone else who has a problem with their roof.
