I needed to ensure that the previous leak was fixed properly in a house we recently bought. A colleague of mine recommended this company. I called Richard and he showed up the next day to inspect my roof and gave me an incredibly reasonable quote (a lot lower than what I got from a bigger company). Highly recommend them. It is nearly impossible to find someone honest like Richard these days.

It was time to have my almost 30 year old roof replaced on my house, and R. L. Scott & Son provided me with a competitive bid and carefully explained how the project would be handled by them. Richard was easy to deal with, and he answered all of my ""non roofer"" type questions to my satisfaction. He kept me posted on the process and was very attentive to what impact any late rains might have on the project. This was extremely important to me, as I didn't want to have the project halfway finished and then have a storm make a mess of things. He said he wouldn't start something that couldn't be made watertight or finished before any rains were predicted. He also explained to me the types of materials he would be using and the product quality that he recommended.

Richard was onsite to oversee the start and the completion of the project (which only took about a day and 1/2 for my 1250 sq ft house). The crew that worked on the reroofing were great guys and very neat and considerate. Everything was completely cleaned up when the project was completed, and I couldn't be happier. The new roof looks great and several people have complemented it.

Richard and his company, R L Scott and Son, were very honest and knowledgeable about the business. And I definitely received excellent satisfaction. He was great about giving me the peace of mind that I needed for this project. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and gladly give him a 5 star rating.

After more than 27 years, our residential asphalt roof was showing signs of needing to be replaced. We interviewed four roofing contractors, learning about R.L. Scott from a neighbor who just weeks earlier had her home ""covered"" by them. By far, we were most impressed with Richard. He's professional, courteous, and flexible (not to mention friendly). Simply put, his demeanor is very reassuring and comforting at what can be a very stressful time in a homeowner's life. R.L. Scott is now three generations strong and has a hearty portfolio to support their expertise. Richard's pricing wasn't the lowest and wasn't the highest, but he was very competitive (after all, we believe ""you get what you pay for"", and a roof is not something to skimp on). The job was completed as scheduled (7 business days) to our full satisfaction. I'm admittedly particular about keeping our yard tidy, and I was not disappointed by his team's daily cleanup. It may vary for you, but our high-grade materials are covered for 30 years, workmanship for 10 years. Though we don't expect any, if problems present we're confident R.L. Scott will continue to be there for us. In summary, HIGHLY recommended! When your time arrives for repairs or replacement, be sure to include R.L. Roofing in your estimates and interviews.

AMAZING!! We loved Richard! He was on time, very professional and personable. He went above and beyond to come all the way out to Ramona for an estimate on a leak we had. Not only was he efficient, but reasonably priced. The repair was made before the rain started again and saved us further damage. We will definitely use him when it's time to put on a new roof and highly recommend him to anyone in need of roofing services.

Someone driving a truck from this company lost his cool because a car was in line for a drive-thru and wouldn't move for him. Once the car was able to move up, the man in the truck took pictures of the person's vehicle and license plate. He was such in a hurry, but had time to position himself to take the picture. Understandably we all have things to do places to be. But not the behavior you want to see from someone driving a company vehicle.
