R. Guillen was in 8 years with the United States Navy. Upon his release in the mid-1980s, he selected Visalia as his residence. Starting out, he worked for a nearby construction firm, gaining knowledge in various facets of building. In seven years, Ray secured his licensing, being insured, and bond, starting his business, R.G. Roofing & General Building, working with his wonderful wife, Sandy, and their three sons. Ray focused on small roof repairs and entire roof replacements. These projects evolved into small home fixes, and later on, remodeling. As the years passed, the projects became larger, prompting the addition of skilled team members while ensuring high-quality workmanship from his team, whether for minor repairs or complete roofing systems.
