My second time using Quality Roofing as I felt they did a great job (as far as the work done) on a short term rental that I currently manage. There were some mishaps along the way, but I liked that they are straight forward in what they do. I'll elaborate more on this later on.

On this latest project for another STR I currently manage. I noticed that the people who installed the original roof never installed a drip edge / flashing. This left (partially) the foundation of the roof exposed to the rain and brutal elements of the weather that come mostly during the summer. I also wanted to add new gutters as the ones installed were the 5"", made of plastic, and on the older side.

I got three quotes and decided to give Quality Roofing another shot. Reason why I was a bit hesitant and wanted to get other quotes is because in spite of the fact that I was satisfied overall with the last project, they have some flaws. here are some that stood out the most.

1. They have a tendency of not responding to inquiries, it's almost like they give you a good pitch to get you in and once the contract is signed, you're on your own.

2. The sales rep. will accommodate you in what you need done but if certain details that were discussed initially and not put in writing, there's a good chance it wont get done.

3. You need to be very thorough and monitor the work to ensure everything is done to your satisfaction as they are not going to follow up once the work is completed. A final inspection is on you.

With this project. What I appreciated the most, was the fact that they followed through on the date on the install. I was out of town on business so I couldn't be there to supervise which put me on edge a little bit.

Once I called the project manager to confirm the work was done, I asked questions regarding the project that went unanswered. It appears that the project manager sent his team to do the work but he was not there to see it himself. He advised that he would stop by the property, check the work, and provide me a short report on what was done with pictures.

It's been over a week and I have yet to receive anything. During this time I sent text messages, emails, phone calls to follow up and got no response. When I contacted the manager/consultant assigned to my account Mr. James Dare, he said he would call the project manager and get back to me, but again it struck out.

I found this to be unprofessional and it left a bad taste in my mouth. It reminded me why I was hesitant to hire them in the first place. There was a leak in my vent pipe that should've been repaired but wasn't on the paperwork. I took Mr. David Rogers for his word that would be addressed, but they don't get back to me when they say they would. It's like once they got paid, they washed their hands and moved on to the next job.

While certainly not an economical choice, the workmanship was good. I had problems with my roof deck and they contracted to replace the deck as required. They ended up replacing the entire deck and it might have been necessary but nobody mentioned it to me until the job was over. The crew left the back porch full of debris and it was five days before they came back to clean up. I had just received a gorilla multi purpose ladder for my birthday from my daughter. It was there when the job started but neither it or my 10' step ladder were there when they left. I can't say they stole it but it was stolen during their time at my house. They, of course, denied any knowledge.

QUALITY ROOFING (Not So)......
W/much regret I write this review for a company that claims to ""GO THE EXTRA MILE TO ENSURE THE CUSTOMERS ARE 100% SATISFIED AT ALL TIMES"". From start to finish, NOT my experience! Hope this is read & helps some people. The TRUE TEST of a company can be told by looking at negative and positive reviews. Especially one with a 5 star rating. The determination is how they actually work with customers to help resolve issues, and especially FOLLOW-UP with what they claim or promise & return calls! Due to this I give Quality Roofing a 2 star rating!

I would like to state that THIS TIME when Quality Roofing replaced my roof (they replaced it 6 years ago), I believe a good job was performed & the ONLY reason I'm giving a 2 star rating, not -1! Chuck, crew supervisor & Jimmy, team leader, were professional from start to finish. Chuck & Jimmy were attentive to all details, answered all questions, explained things, worked around me when needed, & made sure I was happy with the job when completed. If this had been my entire experience, I would have gladly given 5 stars. Unfortunately it wasn't. I do not believe this job was wanted & why it was handled the way it was. A lot more happened than what I can post, due to length.

I'm in my parents home caring for my stepfather after my mom died in 2019. My partner died in November last year, 2023. In 2022, several leaks & mold was found in the ceiling. Initially, it was thought to have been from hurricane Sally a couple years prior, even though no damage was visible. However, due to excessive algae on the shingles & what was seen under the shingles when removed, I think poor workmanship from 2017 and probably a bad ""lot"" of shingles is the cause that allowed the damage.

Many people, including the sales rep from Quality Roofing, made comments as to how the roof appeared to be over 10 years old. After the initial meeting, I had to follow up continually, phone calls were not returned & no show appointments.

I eventually was given a 10% ""courtesy discount"" due to ""my situation"" (which I was thankful for & the ONLY reason I chose to go w/ them). I was also told I'd be given assistance trying to get w/ Atlas the shingle company. Again, hasn't happened & no response to messages.

On Friday April 19, I met w/ the COO to share my frustrations, but also explain that I felt Chuck, Jimmy & crew did a good job bringing the roof to code & correcting what was done before. I had been told by the sales rep he & the owner were told about my roof & that's why I was given the ""courtesy discount"", yet he knew nothing about it.

I explained I recently had to do a FINAL settlement w/ the insurance company so I could replace the roof as it was getting worse. However, new mold has developed that needs treatment & I know it's going to be expensive. I asked if anything could be done or I could at least receive the discount on the ""extra supplies & work"" that had to be done due to the amount of damage & was not listed on the estimate. (I also had pointed out that in 2017 the invoice claimed 23 boards were replaced, yet the photos did not reflect that. 16 boards and more had to be replaced now).

I was told that they already gave me a ""courtesy discount"", don't make much profit on these jobs and really couldn't afford to give me more. But he assured me he would follow up with the rep from Atlas Shingles himself as he knew him personally. He didn't know if anything could be done, but he would try. He promised to call me on Monday (April 22) and get back with me. Today is May 6th! Still no response.

Again, much more took place, but I want to share their claims re: 100% satisfaction at ALL times is completely false! Hope this helps someone. Have a great day!

in dec i contracted with this company.was told 2nd week january i would have done.never heard from company . i called end of january to be told they never know when suppluys will be delivered. then i was asked if supplys was here.i said no doi have to call you when delivered.the following monday supplys 2/1 was delivered.so i was patient knowing weather a factor never heard from company.finally called 3/14 to find out when install was only to be asked its not done yet.then i was told everything is done by computer for all contacts with me. guess their propgram dont work to well.i put 9000..00 deposit and never heard from company unless i made contact with them.so basically i was told i fell thru the cracks. finally 3/19 my roof was installed. when the men drove off i called office to speak to bryan who had just left, i left message with girl in office to have him call me first thing moday 3/22. it is now 230 in afternoon of 3/22 still havent heard from bryan. very poor communication with this company. you have to do all follow up because they don't stay on top of thing. just sell u new roof take your money and forget you. ethan had the nerve to tell me things not his fault i asked him whos fault is it mine.ethan told e how he did me a favor coming out giving me estimate. thats his job and he made money off me signing contract. no one takes responsibily or will take time to communicate with customer. i will never deal with this company again when the can't take 5 minutes to call me. i tried to be patient factor hurricane covid shortage but i was told my supplys for roof was in their warehouse. so guess they lied just to shut me up.im really upset bescause i sat and read every review and thought this company was better than the way they treated me. no one in this company knows how to use a phone to update customer.i give a one star crew that came out worked very hard
