Door knocker came by my neighborhood when it was very new and asked if we were all finished with our backyard. I told him yes and we didn't want anything. He was very respectful and handed me a flier, which I don't mind.

Fast forward a couple months and another door knocker comes by asking the same exact questions and offered an estimate for a security door. I said sure, I'll talk about it with my wife and he made an appointment for the next day, saying they would call me in the morning and I could cancel then if we decided to pass.

I talked about it with my wife that night and we ultimately decided it wasn't for us. So I waited for their call the next morning to cancel, and no call came. The time of the appointment arrived and we had something else come up so we couldn't be there to decline, and I received an endless barrage of calls letting us know the assessor was there to give an estimate. When I finally had a chance to call them back, I let them know we were no longer interested. The rep (not the assessor) was very nice and understanding.

The NEXT day, I received another call from the assessor's subordinate asking if the assessor could reschedule. I said no, someone already called me and I told them no last night. Once again no problem with the follow up, but this was a little annoying when I already said no the previous evening.

Fast forward a month, I've been receiving nearly a call every day from them and I typically don't answer numbers with no callerID, so I never pick up. They also never left a voicemail. However I recently got into a car accident and so been dealing with insurance companies calling me, and one call just happened to be another rep from Quality First, TJ. I said no, I was not interested once again and then he proceeds to give me the giant speech about how I could pay later or whatever with their payment plans. I'm trying very hard to be nice now, because it's starting to take up some time and I'm not interested, but I let him finish his speech, and I reiterate, ""Thank you for letting me know, but I think we're going to pass. We really appreciate it though."" CLICK. He hangs up on me without a word. I was immediately taken back. I understand he's just doing his job, but I found this incredibly rude after I took the time for him to finish.

Needless to say I blocked that number and Quality First won't be getting any jobs from me if they'll treat prospective customers like that, after I was nothing but nice and understanding.

So my experience with quality first started about two years ago with a door knocker, to which we agreed for them to come out and listen to what we wanted. The initial two guys were great, and very informative and professional. We were talked into a new roof, and knowing our roof is 20+ years old, figured it was time to change. We were coached through the entire process and what to expect. Fast forward about a month, i received a call on a Thursday they were looking to start Friday. So they started. The builders went to work, and were very fast. Two days and they were done. This is now where things take a turn.

I have a flat deck roof at about a 2 degree pitch. Which means no shingles, must have flat roof material, as it already did. The underside is bare painted beams, but flat. When they installed the flat roof, they moved the screw locations over about 8 inches from the beams and screwed THROUGH the ceiling, leaving sharp screw ends littering my entire deck roof. There were no screws poking through before the install, so the previous installers made sure that either they were screwed where the beams were or something else that managed to pass code.

I received a call asking how the install was and to come by for the final signature signing off on the project for YGreene, and I brought up the damages regarding the screws poking through. I was told that ""there is nothing we can do about that"" and that they will take pictures but that's it.

They finally came out after continued conversations and ground the screws down, but left unsightly marks throughout the ceiling of my deck.

To top it off, they have been calling me ever since to solicit more work!

Do yourself a favor.. and run.

Came in for a quote or consultation for the patio and was never really given a number to base off of. What a big waste of time. They had good ideas and helped out with what they were envisioning but at the end of the day this is next level car salesman's tactics. I was offered an example that a 3x3 concrete is rated at 300 dollars. That's 3 times the rate of other contractors I been asking around. But ""we offer financing"" :D their level of enthusiasm and professionalism is little to none. For some strange reason there was the assumption of going through my front door to the patio when the back gate would have been much easier.

This company has terrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment to have them come out about doing my front yard. I decided to cancel after reading all of the terrible reviews. The first time I called I someone answered yelling (not at me) but to someone else about getting a napkin. How do you answer the phone while yelling at someone else in the background? I was told I had hit the wrong extension, which I know I hadn't. Then I called back and finally canceled. Now they won't stop calling! Whenever I've answered and said no thank you they just hang up. This last time I was so annoyed that I told them to take me off their call list and to stop calling and the guy hung up on me AGAIN! STOP CALLING PEOPLE THAT DONT WANT YOUR SERVICES!!

Quality First is by far one of the WORST and UNPROFESSIONAL companies that I have ever dealt with. It's been more than a year now and the status of the project is still unknown. I would rate them Zero if it were an option.

Timeline of events:

April 2021:
A gentleman namely Don E. showed up at my doorstep and tried to market what is apparently the BEST windows on this planet. He made tall claims about how efficient and professional they are and that the Company prides itself for achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction. He also told me that I shouldn't pay heed to the negative reviews on Yelp because ""they are fake"".

After some discussion, I requested for a quotation for retrofit window installation for my entire house since I desperately needed to replace all my windows. He took rough measurements and did the pricing. The final project cost was slightly over my budget because the funds I had were earmarked for other projects. He recommended that I get the project financed and I was amenable to it. Financing was approved by ""Service Finance Company, LLC"" and I executed the contract and the necessary documentation on the same day. He then proceeded to say that there might be some delays due to the COVID situation but quickly reassured me that it shouldn't take more than 3 months to conclude the project. A week later, another individual came and took ""accurate"" measurements of the window frames and subsequently placed orders with the manufacturer.

July 2021:
After about 3 months from the date of the contract, the contractors came with the new windows but only did partial installation and informed me that they would not be able to complete the job because apparently, some of the window dimensions were measured incorrectly and as a result few of the windows came out oversized. They advised me that they will have to measure the dimensions again and re-order the windows which meant that the project would get delayed by 3 months. I was a little disappointed but I though ""it is what it is"". I was cognizant of the pandemic situation and didn't mind waiting an additional 3 months.

August 2021 through March 2022:
Months passed but no one came for the re-measurements. I made several attempts to follow up on the status of the project but to no avail. I made numerous phone calls to the Sacramento project manager and left voicemails but I got crickets from him. I was finally able to get through to their customer service. I expressed my disappointment and the customer service rep promised me that she would convey my message to the project manager and would get him to return my call. Those were just empty promises. No one contacted me!

April 2022:
In April of this year, I received an email notification that I had refreshed my loan approval with the finance company (Service Finance Company, LLC) and signed new set of loan documents. It was rather baffling to me because I had done no such thing. I called the finance company and inquired; they told me that I was required to sign new set of loan documents because my original loan approval had expired since it was 12 months old and they thanked me for executing the new loan documents. I informed them that I had not signed any documents. After some digging, it was discovered that one of the Quality First employees had signed the loan documents on my behalf. I am almost certain that that's borderline illegal. I was flabbergasted to say the least. I told the Finance Company that the project was not yet complete and that I will not be signing any documents until I get an update from Quality First on the status of the job and I hung up.

Within minutes, I got a call from Don (sales guy) and received an insincere apology. I demanded an update and he could sense it in my tone that I was no longer interested in playing Mr. Nice Guy. He told me that he understood where I was coming from and assured me that he would send someone to do the re-measurements. A week later, another guy came did the re-measurements. He then had the audacity to ask me if I would be interested in getting additional work done on my home. I said ""No, thank you. Just finish what you were hired to do!!!"" From that point until now, I have had no communication with Quality First. I called a couple of times but no one bothered to return my call.

The negative reviews on YELP appear to be correct. I went through most of them and noticed a similar pattern. My advice to everyone, please steer clear from these scammers. They do not value their clients and have zero respect for their time!!!

So, this will be a long one. Two guys from Quality First Home Improvements come to my house. Just so happened I needed some cement done so I made an appointment. So far so good, right? Day comes and it's the hour they were supposed to be here. I get a call from their offices saying he'll be about 35 minutes late because he tied up at another job. Which is fine...I get it. 35 minutes came and went so i call the office to cancel my appointment.

Her: ""Oh he right there, sir. he's just verifying the address.""
Me: (Literally looking out my front window) "" Ma'am, there's nobody here.""
Her: ""Oh...well....ugh...he....""

Told her to cancel my appointment and hung up. About 20 minutes later the guy shows up still. I told him that i had cancelled and he went straight to a phone call on my porch.

UPDATE:

In my previous review, the company wrote and said they would get back to me promptly... welp, it's been 2+ months now and I have not heard from a single person. This company clearly doesn't want any new business. It's pretty disappointing. And at this point, I don't feel comfortable that they still have my contact info and they know where I live.

Negative stars if I could! I called 3 companies to come and provide estimates on a re-roof. This was one. The first one, Clark's Gable, showed up on time and did not come inside my house. Inspected roof and was gone in 15 minutes politely asking if I had any questions. Within an hour this ""Quality First"" company shows up and wants to start INSIDE my house - remember this is for a re-roof. He comes with his hands full and begins to HARD sell me on whatever HE thinks I might want: doors, windows, attic fans. Oh but let me back up. As soon as I allow him to sit down at my kitchen table, the company calls to make sure he's there! He talks to the woman across the table into my phone, ""This is [name deleted]. I'm here!"" he says. Sales pitch continues on and on and on. OMG - get OUT of my house! One hour later, he finally leaves after texting me that I need to refer him to others - NOT ever going to happen and then as if that weren't enough, Eric from the company called me this morning. I had to block the number! What a horrible company. I would NEVER EVER in a million years do business with a company like that or recommend them. It should be called PRESSURE FIRST HOME IMPROVEMENT. Buyer beware! Don't let them in your home! Worst of all, he drops a name of a real estate agent that goes to my church that evidently recommends them! Holy crap! I'm in real estate myself and I don't operate that way. Steer clear of the pressure tactics. I realized that YELP HAS THE REAL REVIEWS so I copy/pasted my review on them from there to here since Google is how I decided to call them in the first place.

I have since received multiple calls from the company and each time I expressly state, ""Take me off of your list"" and they reply ""Sure, we'll call you back tomorrow!"" I HATE THIS BUSINESS. Totally unethical company.

Quality First Home Improvement was in the area dropping off door fliers. They came at a perfect time, as we were looking for a security screen door. The sales rep they sent I didn't get a good vibe from. He was nice but a fake nice. He was cocky, condescending and talked down to us. The whole time he was bad mouthing Home Depot and telling us to go through them if we wanted to look cheap. (Home Depot carries the same exact models and warranties. They get it for less due to buying in bulk).
We were in the middle of looking at what model we wanted when the sales rep pulled out his iPad to show us different models. Well, when he turned on the iPad, the sound of porn filled our kitchen. I couldn't believe what I heard. I looked at my husband and we gave each other a look of ""did we hear that right?""
Then a few minutes later,
he grabbed his iPad again and turned it on. This time he couldn't get it to shut off as quickly and we definitely heard porn. I mean HEARD the porn, sounds, sounds and sounds. I was shocked. My husband jumped up to leave the room. After my husband collected himself he came back to the table.
We finally negotiated the price where we wanted it and it was a little out of our price range So we needed to finance a bit. Out of the blue the rep said neither my husband or I had good enough credit. That was BS because our credit scores are over 730.
About a week later, we got our credit report and it said our credit was fine but that it was Qualitys decision not to do the job. Curious why.
We called Quality to let them know the situation. No follow ups.

Got a knock on the door - hanging out in the backyard I figured I'd ignore it and they would move on. Then you're wonderful salesman ""don eldridge"" decides he's going to walk along my front lawn area and then take a phone call while standing in front of my home on my grass looking directly at my home and front window area. You don't know me and I don't know you - it's not a good idea to stand in front of a home for five plus minutes after knocking on the door of a home with no answer. The days of ""door to door"" selling are over, and obviously so is your business if this is the approach.
