Protecta is an excellent roofing company. The owner, Mario, follows through with every aspect of the job. No wonder the company has a BBB rating A+ . While it doesn't advertise like the big companies do, it doesn't need to. If you do your research you will know Protecta is the best. I will recommend Protecta to anyone who wants a thorough job well done. And, the price is right !

We were so impressed with the work ethic and professionalism. They were punctual and communicative. They cleaned up as they went and at the end of the day, made sure they got all the debris and nails. I was in awe at the laborers (how they maneuvered the tiles and up on the roof). They were extremely organized and we felt safe that our kids wouldn't accidentally get hit with errant tiles or pieces coming from the roof top.

I'm not a roofer or in the construction trade but they were great as compared to my neighbor's experience with another company that we did not use because of safety and other issues.

I'd recommend Protecta Roofing to my friends any day based on our experience.

We had Protecta Roofing replace the roof on our house last month 6/2020. 1100sf home $14200 with tear off and all fascia and T11 replacing the starter boards.

Overall quality of work was ok on the roofing, just the shingles. Where they absolutely failed was the wood work they did. They replaced all of the starter boards and fascia. The level of care and attention to detail was horrible. Shiners and blow outs everywhere.

In just one bay, they blew out 3 framing nails leaving large splits in the brand new fascia and many pin shiners from the shingles and drip edge. It took me 2 days with a right angle grinder and caulkng to clean up the mess they left with just blow outs and shiners everywhere. Add this to the fact that the contract says ""all wood primed and painted"" but this means to them that all wood was half coated with one quick coat of primer/paint in one that is green to yellow hued with bare wood still visible.

The piece of fascia right above the front door has a large line down the face of it from the mill. If they would have flipped it over or just put that edge on top, the drip edge molding would have covered it and not been visible from the street all the way while walking to the front door.

The T11 boards they installed above the garage have a gap that grows from pinched to gap plus 1/2"" of the next board visible from the street. If they would have looked at what they were doing and just trimmed the board back a 1/2"" it would be fine. now the front of the house appears out of square.

There are 2 places that they took out trim and busted the stucco out. They left the spots with plywood screwed to the studs in one and a piece of 1x4 in the other. The place where it is plywood I can get to and will fix. The place that is 1x4 i cant even reach now that the fascia is in place. Not even worried that the gap reveal between the fascia and roofing below is 1/2"" at one end and 2"" at the other. Looks like hell above the front door.

The next issue is the ridge vent they installed. The contract stated brand and model number of the ridge vent to be installed. They didnt order it/forgot. When it came time to lay the shingles, the installer had O'Hagins he was going to install. I stopped him and showed him what he was supposed to be installing. He went to Home depot and came back with a set of ridge vents. The wrong brand and model. I was told that they would work fine. I took their word. It does not work fine. the garage and attic are now hotter than before with the old roof and no vents.

Then there was a piece they took out that I need. It was a roof vent boot that the bathroom fans hook up to so they can vent thru the roof.

Several calls/texts to the super and then with Mario the owner and Ive been told they will be right out to fix it. Has not happened. Not holding my breath.

I am still waiting for the final receipt from them, I only have a hand written one.

Running a crew too fast and not caring about the quality of work done.
I will not recommend this company in any way shape or form to anyone who asks.

Stay far far away from Protecta Roofing if you want a good roofing job at a fair price.

Highly recommend these guys! They went out of their way (literally - to Riverside) to get the correct tiles to replace some broken ones on my roof. Leon was very communicative and professional. Price was fair for the job. They also were able to help me on a very short timeline where other companies I called could not. I would definitely use them again if the need arose.

Protect All Roof, with Mario and Edith were stellar in their work, professionalism, and responsiveness. Edith is a wonderful representative, and gave me several options to choose from based on the work that needed to be done (both house and garage). The quote was quite reasonable, too, considering everything that needed to be completed. The new roof looks great, and was well-done (as opposed to the previous installation, it is miles superior). There was a small issue with the gutters that were installed, but they came right out the same day I notified them and corrected it. That was the best response I have received from a company in a long time. I highly recommend Protect All Roof for your roofing/gutter needs.

Mario the owner of Protecta Roofing showed up at our house with a smile, on time, energetic, and ready to go. He was polite, friendly and professional. Better yet he could offer us a complete Owens wind rated shingle new roof, 190 feet of 2x6 fascia wood replacement plus painted, 6 O'Hagin roof vents, 140ft of 5"" seamless rain gutters and 5 downspouts of our color choice all at a reasonable price and knew just what to do with no hesitation compared to 4 other 5 star roofing companies we interviewed. With Mario you will get confidence and quality with ANYTHING you ask for and his work team all work good together and clean up after their work day and will offer to go buy your color choice paint if you need so they can start painting right away. His work team even showed us other important things that needed replacing to ensure a job well done. Mario always answered his phone before and during the job when ever we had a question which is a plus and best of all our new roof, painted fascia and rain gutters look beautiful and they even painted our air conditioner/heater unit that sits on our roof along with all our other roof tacklings with out us even asking. Louis his assistant even recommended us a house painter that will be coming to paint our entire house in a couple weeks at a resonable price and someone else to tile our bathroom. This is a one stop shop and you need not have to look any further! Thanks Mario, Louis, Hector and everyone else. I will recommend friends and family for sure and use them again.

We needed our roof replaced and solar panels installed last year.
We contacted Edith at Protecta Roofing and we were extremely pleased with the new roof.
Every day, they showed up on time; were very considerate of our flowers and other aspects of our home. They protected them as they removed the old roof and replaced it. They cleaned up the entire site every night before they left. They even swept out the garage because it doesn't have a ceiling and the debris/dust from their activities would fall to the garage floor.
We needed another roof put on our shed a couple months later and they did a wonderful job exactly matching our house roof.
They were the most economical bids we received and their work is superb!
I recommend them and will use them again myself (on another project).

I paid them to fix my roof over a year ago. They didn't seal it correctly, so my garage flooded. When I sent them photos, they said they'd fix the problem, but they didn't. They keep saying they'll fix it ""tomorrow"", but tomorrow never seems to come. It's been a huge headache.
