Aloha, Charlie of Protech Roofing did us right re-roofing our home. It was a very messy job as our 1923 home had layers of asphalt shingle & wood shake. We decided to remove all old material & replace with new plywood & new shingles. Charlie suggested a newer reflective shingle of high quality, long lasting & reflective to keep the house cooler, nice. Some other wood-rot boards needed replacement along the way, which I'm glad they did. A costly job, but Charlie gave a great quote. Nice he could re-do our leaking gutters too. Super friendly staff were very considerate & cleaned up daily as our dog likes to roam the yard. At the end, they vacuumed the attic, used a magnet to get all the old nails in the yard & clean-up nicely. I would highly recommend Charlie & his team. A life saver! Mahalo!

My roof had Duralite, light weight concrete tiles installed about 20 years ago. Seems like the summers were getting hotter and hotter over the years and since the tiles were brittle and wanting more PV panels, I decided to reroof. My big concern was cutting down the heat into the attic and home. Bob from Protech roofing listened to my concerns and gave me options and did not push their preference of roofing materials as the other roofing companies did.

The whole process was very pleasant as Bob and Charlie patiently answered all of my concerns. Being a senior citizen, I was not concerned about a roof that would last a lifetime with the double or more the cost. I picked the approved association asphalt shingle with the most reflectivity. Bob suggested installing a ridge vent for passive attic ventilation to help with the heat. Protech also installed 3 tubular skylights on the new roof which provided lighting to the interior of the home.

On the first day, Perry and his crew worked through pouring rain to complete the water proof sheeting before going home. The crew was soaked to the bone. That evening, it poured for hours. I was relieved that the sheeting they installed prevented any rain from getting into the attic.

A wireless thermometer in the attic was installed prior to installation of the new roofing materials to quantify the heat difference between the two different roofs. Prior to installing the new roof, the maximum attic temperature got up to 114 degrees. After installing the new roof, the maximum attic temperature was 104 degrees. In the home where it really counts, I did notice that the home took longer to get hot and the home is cooler. I am very happy with the services of Protech, the new roof, ridge vent, tubular skylights, and the results you can feel. You are in good hands with this company and I would highly recommend their services.

I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to Bob! I searched for a roofing company yesterday to address my parent's leak in their roof after Hurricane Lane. Bob called me back within a few hours and had already googled my parent's home. He was very courteous and shared his knowledge of this older type of aluminum shingles. He was honest and provided the name of another smaller company whose owner is very knowledgable about this type of roofing material. He still offered to be available to help after calling the other company as he heard my plight in taking care of my elder parents and the stress of keeping them safe. Well, the owner of the other company came out this morning and fixed the leak. I thought I'd have to wait and pray for no rain, but it's done. I called Bob back today and thanked him! That is what you call exceptional and caring customer service. I consider that good sound business as Bob demonstrated that it is about how we can help a customer's needs and what all businesses should/could be following! I will definitely refer others to Protech! I wish the best to Bob and this company!!

Although I already had 3 other quotes, a friend referred me to Charlie. I am so glad I went with Protech.

Initially got a quote for the roof. Intended on purchasing skylights elsewhere, not knowing Protech could do it. Glad I mentioned the skylights to Charlie.

Single story shingle roof and two Velux Solar Skylights with solar blinds installed in two days. Roof is now ready for PV, skylights and the new ridge vent have cooled the interior of the house drastically.

Charlie and his crew is super easy to work with. Very professional, highly recommended.

I needed to retro-fit blown-in insulation into the attic of my uninsulated house in order to survive another summer. Nearly every contractor I contacted said no over the phone or laughed once they took a look at the tiny crawl space. But the guys at Protech came same day for an estimate and two days later were installing the blown-in insulation. The whole team was prompt, clean, and efficient. And my home is way cooler now than it was last week. I'd happily hire them again.

Charlie Spiegel is the owner or Protech. He is really great to work with. Charlie, Chris and Jeff came over to our home to install the insulation. Charlies and his employees are knowledgeable, respectful and have great work ethics. Charlie's equipment is state of the art, with everything self contained inside the truck. This way there is no mess or disruption to your home. We turned our air conditioning system off while Protech Roofing installed our attic insulation. (8"" of blown in CertainTeed) when the job was complete we turned our ac unit on and our home went from 82 degrees to 75 degrees in 20 minutes. Our home is now consistent in temperature, and has no hot spots or inconsistent temperatures. Our home is also much quieter. Thank you Charlie, Chris and Jeff. PS: after learning how inexpensive insulation is and the payback in energy savings, as well as witnessing Charlie and his crew at work our neighbors on the block are anxious to have Protech install insulation in their attics to reduce energy consumption. We highlyrecommend.

After purchasing our new home, my husband and I need to start renovations right away and the roof was in definite need of repair. We were referred to Charlie at Protech Roofing by a long-time friend who had their roof recently done. After contacting Charlie, he was able to schedule us quickly and provided everything we needed for our areas' association requirements.

A couple weeks later and our roof is finished; it looks amazing. We had a soft spot on our roof where there was some water damage and leaking but they were able to repair it. An attached shed was also re-roofed to match the house and it looks great!

Working with them has been a pleasure and Charlie was very professional and prompt on answering any questions or concerns we had.

Charlie & his son from Protech Roofing came to our house in Kaneohe looked over our roof & told us what we needed. We had 2 other companies give us estimates & we felt Protech Roofing was the Better Choice. He showed what we needed not over selling us things we didn't need. He sent us an estimate & we had them do our roof change our 3 Sky lights, & Put a protective coating that makes our house a lot cooler. They did an Awesome Job The Heavy Rains were making it hard for them But when it cleared up they got the job done. The Roof Looks Great The Water Rolls Off Like A Water Fall & The Inside Of The House Is Cooler. I would definitely recommend using Protech Roofing
