Carlos installed a doggie door. He said he would come back to finish up painting and adding some trim to make it look nice. I paid him what he asked plus a 20% tip and fed him. Perhaps that was my mistake to do that before he was finished as he said he would return Saturday but did not.

He then said he would come the following Monday but did not.

He then said he would come the following Thursday, then said he could not.

He then said he would show Friday but then said he could not.

He then said he would arrive the following Friday at noon, but did not.

He then said he would come early Saturday, did not come and did not say why or respond.

Carlos then said he would arrive 10 a.m. July 24. at 10:37 he said he would arrive between 11:30 and 12:30. He then said he may arrive later in a different car, but never showed up.

I almost don't want to write this review because I finally found someone who goes above and beyond, great work ethic, is reliable, and charged a very fair price for such a high level of professionalism and quality of work. Which seems to be very difficult to find nowadays.

My issue was that we had a roof leak a month ago during the rainy season, which is still going on as of now. We worked through our insurance, and our leak damage was found to be ""normal wear and tear"", so it was not covered. I called around, and searched and found that most companies charged thousands of dollars just to get up on a latter and throw a tarp on the roof where the roof was leaking BEFORE estimates of repairs start rolling in. Then, when I decided to look at handyman companies, I found that no one wanted to take the time to do a ""small leak"" roofing job, so we wasted a ton of time trying to find someone willing to work.

We then came across PRO&Master Handyman. Carlos showed up for our appointment and offered to look and see what the problem was. He found more issues, based on pictures that the insurance company did not provide, along with his own pictures that he took and documented for us for our records. Not only did he repair all of the leaks, but he also future proofed our roof for a further 10 years (after getting our approval to do so). High degree of diligence and thoroughness of repairs and identifying other issues on my roof that I didn't know were problems until he pointed them out. The best part about all of this was that not only did we stay in our budget, but we also received additional inspection and repairs that we would not have otherwise receive from anyone else for the very fair price that he charged. You don't see this anymore today folks. Carlos is the man! I will be contacting him for future jobs down the road.

Recently I found Carlos on Yelp for to repair my fascia. He provided me with reasonable quotes for different options of repairs, and did a great repair job. He also helped me repair some broken tiles on my roof and a bathroom glass ceiling leak, right before the rain came! From my chat with him during the repairs, I got to know that he's got extensive experience working on many different types of home improvement jobs prior to getting his license and starting his own business, including roof repair, electric, plumbing, pool repair, construction, landscaping. Carlos is sincere, honest, patient and professional. I am scheduling a couple other home improvement projects with him. If you are looking a capable and reliable handyman or general contractor for home improvement jobs, I strongly recommend you to contact Carlos.
TIP: when you go with him, you might want to allocate a bit more time for the repair window as he might come a bit late to your project - he could be spending more time on his previous project, as in my case. This might seem to some as not being punctual, but this shows to me that he does not just deal with the job, collect the check and go. He puts his quality commitment to the job.

Carlos came over the same day we called to clean several drain downspouts that were fully caked with mud. We also had a roof edge tile that had fallen off, he was able to take a spare tile and put it up on the roof; he also noticed one other edge tile starting to come off and put it back in place. We are happy with his work.

Carlos didn't mind doing a small job while other handymen said no. He did a good job at a reasonable price. Back up by Yelp guarantee is a big plus. I think I've found a handyman for future repair and maintenance works around the house.

I needed a few roof tiles replaced. other companies wanted to charge over $500 just to look at the job. I found Carlos through Yelp and he responded within an hour, and gave me a reasonable estimate. He had to find the same color/ type of tiles as they were old (1995 vintage) to match. After going to 3 different sources he found the correct tiles and installed as soon as he had them in hand ( just 2 days later). He did a wonderful job and offered to clean my very clogged gutters and down drain, which hadn't been cleaned in over a year. I highly recommend Carlos for any of your handyman needs. He is honest, reliable, and very skilled, and a nice person- eager to ensure you are happy with his work. Left my house and yard fully cleaned up - better than before! I have Carlos on my speed dial for all home repairs!
