This organization is a nightmare. There is a clear lack of professionalism and integrity rampant throughout the organization. Yes, I'm working on proceeding with a complaint against them as well.

Perilous Times Restoration (PTR) was dispatched to my house from my insurance company while my master bathroom was actively leaking. From the jump they were aware there is water damage. PTR will claim it was for only a bid.

I signed a document for water restoration services. They will claim they entered into that agreement out of the kindness of their heart and had no intention of ever billing me or my insurance. I will say that again. They were on-site for an insurance claim and they were going to perform services at my house for FREE. Does any reasonable person legitimately believe that?

Their equipment was onsite for 4 days and on the last day it dawned on them to dry not only the downstairs but also the upstairs bathroom as well - the source of the water. Why in God's name they decided to dry only downstairs in the first place is beyond me. I'm not the professional. But either way you slice this, it reeks of negligence. Ask yourself the following: Was the failure on Day 1 and they only took water readings in one location? Was the failure on Day 2 when they only set up equipment in one place? They claim they took readings on each visit? I'm looking for a reasonable explanation. PTR will claim miscommunication.

Finally, while onsite, a 22-year old oak tree in front of my house was hit. We are arguing over are they responsible or not. What I will share is this. The first text message I have reflects the staff member denying they parked in front of my house. The owner repeated the staff person's lie.
Lie? Yes, lie. After I provided a photo from the Ring camera to the contrary showing them parked in my house. They admitted to parking in front of the house but still denied hitting the tree.

Do not engage with this company. Learn from my hard lessons.

I can't say enough great things about Amy and her crew! My entire apartment flooded during the freeze from a major fire suppression system leak. They came in and took care of all my contents: salvageable, non-salvageable, and helped me get some type of order amidst all the chaos. All of my belongings, that I was able to keep, were boxed, labeled and placed back in the rooms they originated in. They took care of disposing of those items we couldn't save. Amy took care of my insurance claim as well, leaving me with as little stress as possible under the circumstances. Great job and a great group of people!!

after extensive damage to my home the insurance company suggested I call Perilous Times Restoration. They came out and did an estimate and I've never heard back from them north at my insurance company until two months later and most of the work was completed. During that time it was never even a follow up call. Would not recommend

I had a fantastic experience working with PTR in San Antonio. I had recently sold my home and was 9 days away from the closing when the the recent hail storm hit. Due to the time crunch, my insurance company suggested PTR to replace the roof. I was skeptical about using a company I didn't choose myself, so I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and read some positive reviews. I am so glad I chose to use their services because every single person I worked with from this company was timely, professional, and always responsive to my questions and concerns. The qualify of their work was excellent and I truly had not one negative experience. They were always on time, cleaned up at the end of each day, and consistently checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the work. I would definitely use this company again.

Do not do business with this company if you even remotely value timely and professional work. Our initial appraisal went nice and smoothly so we felt comfortable getting started with repairs to our deck and attic. However, once the work began it became apparent that they used up every drop of professionalism during that first estimate.

The first person to arrive was just a laborer with no uniform and almost zero understanding of English. This wouldn't have been as big of a problem if I knew to expect him, but I instead spent five minutes figuring out why some guy was at my door and asking me where to work.

From there on out, every experience with this company has angered me more and more. We needed several subcontractors to work different areas of the house and they managed to drag each one out for a week or more. They couldn't find an a/c guy for two weeks despite our regular guy coming by twice during they period (they really meant that they couldn't find someone do do the job for pennies on the dollar).

These clowns checked every square on the terrible contractor bingo board, including breaking pots on our deck, dragging furniture across said deck (leaving some nice scratches, and letting paint splatter in five dozen spots. They left trash, insulation, and random debris scattered across our yard. We have several big pieces of trash/discarded material left in our driveway.

The kicker is that they have been made aware of each issue and either ignored it or, even worse, repeatedly promised to fix it but failed to follow through. It's been over a month since the job was complete and we still have trash, debris, and some damage they caused.

They assign a ""project manager"" who is supposed to watch over each contractor, check in on the job site, and keep us updated on the project's progress. In reality, he's a rubber stamping monkey whom I don't think we ever spoke to aside form our first introduction. As an actual professional project manager for a Fortune 50 company, he diminishes the title by even daring to claim it. He's as much a project manager as a child who screwed in a light bulb is an electrician.

Do not ever do business with this shoddy excuse for a company. You will regret every minute of time that you waste chasing down their mistakes, half heated promises, and shockingly gross negligence. If yelp reviews won't change their behavior, hopefully complaints to the Texas licensing board will.

I had two experiences with Perilous Times in the span of about one month...the first was the result of a water supply line leak (2nd floor) where I awoke to water running into my kitchen through the AC vents and light fixtures. I called my insurance company first thing (8am) and had a return call from Perilous Times within an hour. They had their remediation team on site a couple hours later with fans and dehumidifiers. After the home was dry, they began the rebuild (drywall, paint, trim, carpet, etc.). My wife was having a nervous breakdown as we had our son's 4th birthday party planned at our home a week later and there was a huge hole in our kitchen ceiling. I informed Perilous Times of our event and they made sure they had everything completed before that date. The workmanship on our drywall texture was some of the best blending I have ever seen. You really can't tell anything was patched. Extremely happy with the overall process.

About a month later, I had the exact same thing happen in another bathroom (2nd floor) and the same result in another area on my 1st floor. This time I called Perilous Times directly (late evening) and spoke to Heath, he had his team at my house first thing the next morning to start the process again. My second experience was just as painless as the first and everything was back to normal in a week or so.

Everyone I worked with at Perilous Times was friendly, professional and courteous and I would recommend them to anyone.
