Recommended Customer Reviews

Update: While my first experience was unpleasant trying to schedule an appointment with Premium Remolding. I was impressed by how quickly the company replied to my feedback. Within an hour of my initial review (below) the owner and dispatcher reached out to me to apologize, listen to my concerns, and see how they could make things better. I have a lot of respect from companies who take feedback seriously and try to make things better when they make a mistake. I did end up meeting with them to get estimate on our project. They were professional and knowledgeable. This positive interaction certainly turned my overall impression of Premium Remolding around and I look forward to continuing in the process with them.
Initial Review: 11/19 One Star - Incredibly offended and disappointed. We were interested in installing a new fireplace and were referred to Premium Remodeling. When I called to schedule an appointment they refused to only meet with me and said my husband would need to be present. Even after I explained that we have remodeled our entire home, we are both very educated in this process, and I have already met with other contractors/companies - they still refused to schedule an appointment with just me. Reading through the comments looks like others have had this problem. They need to rethink how they deal with and treat their potential clients.

I would not give this company one star but couldn't submit this post without something - Galit Boblil arrived to provide a free mold evaluation and leak detection report - exactly what I requested when I made the appointment. Galit brought in the thermal imaging equipment and went into the subject bathroom, adjacent bedroom and bedroom below the subject area to determine the existence of mold and a water leak. She told me immediately that she could ""smell"" the mold, which was in the bedroom closet, just as she opened the door to the room. She stated that I had ""toxic mold"" in that bedroom. Then she proceeded to claim that there was a small consistent water leak from the adjacent bathroom that caused this mold to grow, as well as a peal in the ceiling paint downstairs. I tried to see her results on the equipment but she kept that quite to herself. When she completed her ""testing,"" I requested a written report of her findings for my insurance company. She explained to me that the report would cost me $500 - about 40 pages - at which time I explained I simply needed a one-page or paragraph document to provide to the insurance company as to her initial findings. She refused and told me to have my insurance company call her. I spoke with the insurance company who advised that her refusal to provide a report is not standard practice and they would send their own water and mold detection company. That company had the same equipment and concluded that there is no active leak but rather one that occurred some time ago resulting in the mold. The second company actually showed me how the water detection and thermal imaging equipment worked (he used two pieces of equipment to reach his conclusion) - the area will show up dark blue/purple on the imaging tool if water is present. There was NO active water leak in the area of the mold.
I WOULD NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I was told by Premium that to resolve the issue (which there isn't one) it would cost me $4,500! There is nothing wrong but some old dried caulking in the shower that resulted in water dripping down the side of the tub which needs to be redone and scrub out the old mold - a $50 job if I do it myself. Please beware so you don't get taken advantage of by this company.

Scheduled the appointment with Natalie. I was told that both myself & my husband needed to be present.
Why?
This is our 3rd home and I have pretty much have been the project manager / coordinator due to our schedules.
I told Natalie he would be present just to get the estimate.
Natalie called to confirm the appointment and the presences of us both.
Yes, I lied . The lie wasn't to be malicious, it was to ensure the estimate.
Nathaniel (who felt I needed to know the meaning of his name. I didn't.) came out and spent less time than the other contractors.
He asked if my husband was present and I said, no, he is at work.
I explained how I have led home remodeling and repairs for 3 homes and am proficient in gathering data and sharing with my husband .
He said, ""So he makes all of the decisions!""
No, we make them together but we both do not need to be present for the estimate.
Nathaniel couldn't get out of there soon enough.
He showed me a HUGE piece of insulation that he said would be used all the way around. There is no way 30 inch will fit on the walls.
When I asked about it, he said this was the only option.
I was not going to argue or express the sizes of the other bids.
I said that the size of the insulation will depend on the price.
Here's the biggest problem, I have NOT received a quote.
I invite you to my home. I consider your company for a simple project (simple as stated by other contractors).
Your lack of respect for women (as read by other reviews) is insane.
Your advertisement in the local SCV magazine is simply a waste of time and money.
* I did finally hear from Natalie on Friday. Many apologies and many requests to remove my review.
I was finally sent a costly bid to insulate a garage.
In all honesty, I have dealt with such a variety of contractors that removing my honest review would be fraudulent .
I get the family business aspect and I wholeheartedly support but the support goes both ways.
I will change my 1 star to 3 in support of Natalie's call but there is still something uncomfortable about this company.

Hired premium to do our kitchen remodel. They are very thorough and professional. I was a little skeptical about doing it at first because I thought it will be a headache dealing with this but overall the process was pretty smooth and effortless on my end. They brought me all the samples to my house for me to choose. The workers and our project manager galit were great and my wife is ecstatic about our new kitchen. Like the saying goes Happy wife happy life.

We did 2 bathroom remodels with premium. They did a great job working within our budge and really giving our bathrooms a beautiful fresh look that we've been wanting for a long time. We couldn't be happier with the contractor we chose their crews were always courteous, professional and did a work of art on all the details that matter the most. Glad I found our go to contractor for future needs.

Natalie is great! She is good in resolution and personalized service! It is rare that one is treated like family. It is all about communication.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PERSON PICKING UP THE PI called to find out about the free mold inspection they were advertising and spoke to Cynthia. She asked me tons of questions and then proceeded to tell me that the coupon that says free inspection is a consultation and that it will last 45 minutes and they will educate me on how harmful mold is for elders and children under age 10. She then told me that both my husband and I have to be present. I explained that our schedules are very different and that I would be the only person who could meet them. She told me that it is their policy for a FREE inspection.....it's actually a CONSULTATION as CYNTHIA stated. I thanked her and said it doesn't look like it will work so might have to go with another company. You could hear in her voice that she was upset, says ""Good Luck"" and hangs up on me. I called back, asked her for her name and her manager's name and all she continued to say was ""Good luck,"" ""good luck."" I will be calling her manager after her meeting. I will update my post after my conversation with the manager NATALIE.
UPDATE: I called back and spoke to Natalie and she apologized for the customer service provided by her employee Cynthia. She offered to provide the free inspection without my husband and if mold was suspected we would set up another appointment with my husband. Unfortunately, as much as I appreciated her offer, first impressions are everything to us and declined her offer.

Aaron and Premium Remodeling did a wonderful job on our home. Their guys came in like a whirlwind and left us with work so good it feels like a different house. Definitely the best experience I have ever had with a remodeling company.

Ben Elbaz and his team were amazing. We had an emergency leak in our roof with all the rain and he came to our rescue by quickly covering the roof. Then as soon as the rain stopped they came to fix our roof. They were very professional and neat while they worked. I would highly recommend them for any home improvements.
Ben kept in touch with us throughout the job so we were fully informed and gave us a fair price. We were traveling one of the days and he even was helpful with our dog!
More rain is coming and now we have peace of mind that our roof is in good shape. We will definitely call them again!
