I unfortunately had to have my roof replaced and called Preferred Roofing.
I wish I could give them 10 stars. They were fast, professional and did a
super awesome job. But the best part is the color of my roof. I am a blue
freak and my roof is the prettiest blue. It looks AWESOME!!!!. Everything
about the work was excellent. His son and team were the best. Friendly, very conscientious about their work and more importantly (to me) making sure my
dogs did not get out. :)
Every day they would completely clean up and on the last day Nick and his guys walked around and thoroughly cleaned around my house. No nails, screws
etc. I wish there was a way I could post a pic of my roof, I'm so thrilled with it.
I will highly recommend Jim and his team.

I've had the opportunity to use Preferred Roofing's services throughout the years so I am confident to be able to write this review.

The first time was to redo the roof of the faux balcony and removal of an old, non-functioning solar water heater from the roof (think solar panel/sky light). Tiles were added to fill in the new gap.

The second time was to replace the underlayment on half my roof.

In addition to the two times I've used their services, the previous owner of my home had also used Preferred to replace the underlayment on other half of the roof years ago.

~Positive notes:

Have not had any leaks afterwards.

Quality of work was good.

Communication through calls and texts were immediate.

Pictures of work in progress was provided to me through text.

Made extra efforts to satisfy any worries I had.

Took actions and decisions to go the extra mile exhibiting pride of work.

No price gouging going in here. You can feel comfortable knowing that any price that they quote will be fair.

I am super happy with the work they've done for me and I wanted to take the time to write this review to show my appreciation.

In regards to the 1 star reviews that they've received, none are from actual customers who have used their services. It's a shame these reviews have the same impact and weight of an actual paying customer who have used their roofing services. Taking those non-customer reviews out, they would have a perfect 5 out of 5 stars on here.

This is the first time hiring a roofing company and I'm so glad I chose Preferred roofing. They did a total roof tear down of my house (boy it needed it) including two patios with new fascia.
Jim was very knowledgeable, professional, attentive and it reflected on his work crew.
They did a quality job with attention to detail, they use quality material that's meant to last.
They truly do they job right the first time and that brings me peace of mind.
Never had issues with Jim returning my calls, or texting me to keep me up to date about the job or any questions I would have.
His prices are reasonable for the quality work they do. I'm very impressed and satisfied with the end results.

The fact that they put their sign up to advertise their business with their phone number while doing a neighbors roof but never called back yet is not ok. After a few days I walked over to talk to them and the son said ""oh yeah I'll tell my parents to call you back, they are busy"" still no phone call. It was a blessing though as my neighbors did not have great things to say!

Jim is the man! His attention to detail permeates through his entire crew, from the amount of shingle that sticks over the weep edge, to the color matched paint he applied without having to be asked on to our vent pipes. I interviewed several roofers and asked them to bid on the job, not only was Jim by far the lowest price, but he was the only one that went out of his way to educate me on the product and bring me physical samples so we could pick the exact paint for our house to match the roof perfectly. I wish this guy did more than roofing, so we could hire him again, but we really only need one roof so I guess I'm good for 20 to 30 years!

I had a terrible roof leak this past winter. I received several bids from roofing contractors. Preferred Roofing came out and gave me a free estimate and was very reasonably priced. They did not try and upsell me into doing more than necessary. They truly wanted to find the problem and fix it. It has rained a lot since the repair and I have had no problems. Thank you Preferred Roofing.

Preferred Roofing repaired two valleys for me. I have a two story house with a tile roof and my house was built in 1989.

As to the bad review that someone else wrote. I can't help but think they're not telling the entire truth. I reached out to that reviewer to get a more in-depth explanation of why they left their review. I just feel like there is something missing from their story.

Called last Friday and spoke to Jim's wife. She said he'd be here between 11-12pm today. It's 2:00pm now, and nobody has shown up and they're not answering the phone. If you don't have the time to show up, please don't waste my time by saying you will. No customer service.

I want to say how satisfied I am with this roofing service! I bought my house recently and just wanted to find out if the roof would require any works. We called Preferred Roofing and was scheduled a next day appointment. Jim, the owner, showed up on time. He went up to the roof, did a thorough inspection and informed us that there was nothing needed to be done at this time. This is a rare occurrence where a roofer doesn't recommend to do this or do that! It really shows that this company does business with integrity. I would highly recommend Preferred Roofing.

Had my roof completely replaced in July by Jim and his crew at Preferred Roofing. I have a lot of praise: 1) First, Preferred was my third quote. I had a very low-ball quote months before that seemed too low to be true. Then I went to a full licensed and bonded contractor who provided me with a quote that I knew was too high. Then I called some people who referred me to Jim. Jim came on-time (as he was for every appointment) did a full estimate and provided me with a complete portfolio with copies of license and insurance information. The quote was about $4,000 less than a competitor, and in-line with what I expected to pay. What also impressed me was that he provided a lengthy warranty on his work, and I noticed a higher quality of materials in the details on the estimate. Both of these details were better than a much more expensive estimate from a competitor. 2) He and his crew were able to begin work soon and finished the whole project on-time. All of the people working for him were of good character and friendly. More importantly, they were professional and did high quality work. When the job was done, I stood across the street for a half hour admiring how my house looked. 3) After a recent heavy rain storm, I noticed a problem, but it was NOT related to the roof job. As it turns out, the very heavy winds that accompanied a tropical storm in September blew off a vent hood. As soon as it dried, Jim's crew came and did a full inspection of the roof and discovered the problem due to the missing hood. The next day Jim came by to install a brand new hood free of charge and did a second personal inspection. My roof is tight and awesome and Jim provided an excellent service during the job and after payment was made. I have complete confidence that I have Preferred Roofing as an asset if there is a problem in the future.
