Yaniv B.We found Preferred Air (AKA preferred home services?) through our home warranty, and I was VERY impressed with their quality. Our tech was Matthew Ray, and he diagnosed our 13 year old compressor was getting weaker, but ""unfortunately"" not dead, so the home warranty wasn't going to pitch in a dime, despite the thing barely pumping out a 2 degree air differential, so the rooms just kept getting warmer and warmer during the day! They gave me a SUPER fast turn around on a quote, including negotiating a deal with the manager.. I'm talking less than 2 hours. They weren't pushy, offered me different options, gave me what seemed like unbiased opinions, and left the ball in my court. I was expecting high pressure sales, instead I got friendly service, great warranty, and a new condenser with my new unit cooling the house like a CHAMP.
I was really impressed with their service and would use them without a hesitation again in the future!

Our A/C wasn't cooling properly on a Friday evening while we had family over and I did not hesitate to call Preferred Air as they have treated me well in the past. Nick came out within 30 minutes of my call and promptly determined the cause of the poor cooling and we were able to sleep comfortably that night. I will continue to use Preferred Air for any A/C needs.

They sent me a text saying I'd receive my estimate shortly.
I never got my estimate and they don't reply to texts,so I called the company asking where my estimate was?
The woman I spoke to said she would call their roofing dept and someone would call me back today.
That was weeks ago.
Not one word from this company. They just completely blew me off.
My roof is 29 years old so I'm sure a replacement was probably necessary.
How could any roofing company forfeit an $8000 job?
If they could do this to me in the very beginning, I certainly wouldn't trust them to replace my roof.
There is no excuse to just blow me off like this.
It's Unprofessional and down right despicable
Made an appointment for an employee to come take a look at replacing, was even working with the office on pricing specifics, and no show. Nobody called or notified me of the cancelled appointment. I sat and waited for a tech to show up for over an hour. Very unprofessional. I'm extremely displeased at the lack of respect.

In this day and age, a lot of companies will try and take advantage of women that don't know a lot about household repairs. I've never felt that way when working with this company. They are always respectful and explain things in a way I can understand. I never feel like they're trying to sell me something I don't need. Keep up the great work guys!
We moved to League City about four years ago into an older home. We have two units (upstairs and downstairs). Our downstairs unit was about 5 years old at the time but our upstairs was original to the home (close to 20 yrs. old). We had a problem and called the home warranty company who sent Preferred Air. We had a couple of other issues come up along with some warranty-covered maintenance and the HW folks sent other contractors. Within the first 18 months we knew that Preferred Air was our PREFERRED contractor!
The technicians are always friendly, clean, and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to our concerns and answer questions even about basic things. They make recommendations with options to suit our budget and goals for our home. Kyle and Nick have really been helpful in that respect. We eventually replaced that old A/C unit and Nick and the crew were awesome. They rolled out the floor protection and my cat thought it was for her - they were all sweet to her and just walked around her! My husband asked about a plumbing issue we had and Nick sent the plumb crew out the next day to take a look and fix it for us.
Best story - Sunday afternoon I realize the air out of the vent is warm! I finally get in touch with the warranty company who tells me that if the forecast is less than 100 degrees I have to wait til Monday for service. My husband calls Preferred directly and they are happy to come out but of course the service call will be a bit more. My husband calls the warranty people and tells them we want to use Preferred again so the claim is set up accordingly. That was at 1:30. By 2:09 Nick had been to the house, fixed the problem with the outside, newer unit (luckily he had the part in his van), and was gone. Never asked for a dime. I thought I was going to hug him goodbye!
It's not all roses - I didn't care for the guy who came out to do our last service; I felt like he was in and out too quickly and perhaps should have caught the issue that caused the breakdown on Sunday. Overall, they have been responsive, caring, efficient, and budget-friendly and we highly recommend them for any A/C or plumbing needs!
Hi my name is Gilbert Perez. I called Preferred Air & Plumbing of Houston. We scheduled a time for them to come out. The day came for them to come out. They were on time. We went up to look at the system.
I was looking to replace my whole system. He took pictures we talked and he said they would send me a quote. This was on April 17TH. A week went by i did not hear from them. Another week went by and still nothing. I decided to call. I spoke to the someone at the office. I told her what was going on. She said i would have my quote by noon. Again nothing. Xavier also helped us understand so we was able to make an educated decision. One of the best decisions we have made. The crew was there early the next morning and displayed ultimate respect for our home by wearing shoe covers and covering the floors. Joey kept close communication with me and even set up my wi fi thermostat.
