Recommended Customer Reviews

We have a ceramic tile roof that occasionally needs small repairs. We have used Precision Roof Crafters several times over the past 15 years. They respond quickly and their pricing is fair. Their technicians are knowledgeable and polite. Their office staff is also polite and efficient.

O.K., you will know that this is a REAL review if you read the whole story.
I would give PRC a 5-star review and a 1-star review. Now how can that be??
Well, here's the story.
I have a 15+ year old roof that has been cleaned once before. I selected three companies to provide a bid for cleaning. Two of them provided a bid on-line. PRC sent out a service/sales person (Daniel). One bid was $499, the other on-line bid was $899. PRC was over a grand. I chose PRC because Daniel was very good and because they claim to use a biodegradable cleaning solution. The previous cleaner used a solution that was very harsh and killed some of our shrubs even though they were covered.
Without going into too much detail, they have a two part process (maybe just for older roofs), where the first day a guy comes out to seal all of the flashing, exposed nails, vents. and anything else that might cause a leak. I've never had a leak, but I guess it can't hurt..right? The next day they come out and clean. My first issue was that they left multiple hoses on the grass and driveway running full blast. When I asked one of the guys ""was-up with this??"", he said that they wanted to dilute the run-off that was next to the house. Wait, I thought this was Biodegradable? I happened to read the water meter two days before they came. When they left it was more than 5000 gallons more. Our normal use is 3-4000 gallons in the Feburary timeframe. It was over 10K this billing period!
The second issue was that the before and after pictures looked almost the same. I mean, almost exactly the same. So, what to do? Well, their bid said that if we could not give them a 5-star rating, to contact them and they will make it right. I sent one email describing the above and received no response. This was before I received the water usage. When I got the bill, I forwarded a copy of it, along with historical usage, and finally got a call from the owner.
Now we come to the 5-star part. He agreed that the before and after look almost the same. But he took the time to explain to me that because of the age of the roof, much of the colored tiny stones in the shingles had been lost, knocked off from rain, wind, and hail. This exposed much of the asphalt backing (black) below. Which is why the roof looked dark before and after. He said that we were close to needing a new roof, not cleaning so much. However, we are selling the house soon and that would be a no-return investment in the house. He then told me that he was going to refund the entire cleaning portion of the bill, which I have already received.
The moral is: ""if you put a tuxedo on a pig, it's still a pig"". No one could make our roof look like new. That's what Daniel should have told me. Nevertheless, they made it right. And that's what counts.

Chris and the rest of the group at Precision Roof Crafters were fantastic. They did a fantastic job inspecting, explaining what needed to be done to the roof, and fixing everything. They went above and beyond - were very diligent, provided great customer service, and all for a very fair price.

So far, I've been very impressed with precision roof crafters. Chris Walsh showed up exactly on time, and was extremely courteous and professional. I did not feel like they were trying to pressure me to making any expensive decisions. I can't wait to see my new skylight installed next week!

Great team of roofers. Hish, Jason, and their great team of roofing professionals have been a pleasure to work with each and every time. I recommend them If you're in Houston looking for a great roofing contractor!

Last November I found myself in a need to address the roof on my two-story house. After interviewing a couple of contractors, we selected Precision Roof Crafters. Khaled did a wonderful job explaining the issues we had with pictures and how their company would solve them. As promised, he and his very professional crew came and completed the job on time as Khaled supervised every aspect of the work. At the end they gave me over 100 pictures of my new roof and an excellent warranty to back up their work. I find Precision Roof Crafters to be an outstanding contractor and personally thank Khaled for his attention to customer satisfaction.

Great customer service. This company replaced the roof for our condo group several years ago. The warranty expired after 5 years. i had a leak on my second story sky light. Hish sent two techs the same day I called. Khaled K and Chris W were up on the roof within minutes of arrival, clearly communicated the details and got me on the schedule for replacement. Respectful of social distancing. It was a great install when the roof was replaced. I recommend this company.
Thank you!
JC

I decided to choose this company since two neighbors of mine had good experience with them. One of them said that there was a leak after the roof installation and they came back and fixed it.
Based on recommendation of my neighbors, I also employed them and decided to watch their work throughout the installation of new TPO in December 2018. I did like how the workers were paying attention to details. However, they spent a long time to raise a particular skylight and they were saying that ""this will break"". Unfortunately they were right and there has been a leaking problem through that skylight since the installation.
They have been responsive to my request of fixing this problem as they came back and saw the skylight multiple times and they tried to do some fixes which reduced the leak substantially but didn't stop it completely. The leaking has been continuing at the same spot after each rain. During their last visit, they let me know that this visible leak was due to high humidity and asked me to buy a new aspirator. This explanation does not make sense to me and I have been still in contact with them about the problem. I am hoping that they make an effort to fulfill their 10 years of warranty and fix the troubled part of the roof around the skylight. I am going to update/edit this review after resolving this leaking problem.
Please see the attached photo which shows the current leaking problem.

Precision Roof Crafters installed a fleeceback ""TPO"" system roof/flashing to the low slope roof of my townhouse. They also fabricated and installed a metal ""cap"" for the common wall shared by my home & the townhouse next door. This work happened in April of 2015. Yes, I've waited almost a year to write a review for Precision Roof Crafters, but I wanted to give the completed project time to show me all is well (no leaks!). Jeff Bell was our customer representative. He is smart and professional. He is also very creative. Our project also included ""capping"" a large part of the common wall shared by our townhouse and another. Jeff came up with the metal capping solution and developed the plan to install it successfully.
The install crew for the 115 mil fleeceback ""TPO"" system roof worked quickly, neatly, and professionally to make it happen. Basically, Precision installed a warranted material that is hail & wind proof on top of the crappy initial tar or ""torch down"" shingle style material my home had. The white material reflects heat and also comes up and ""flashes"" the roof to the deck walls. It is very secure and water tight. The new roof is covered with a Fiberon deck that was installed by another provider.
It was an expensive roof replacement, but I couldn't try a patch repair job because the initial 2008 roof was in such bad shape. I did get 2 other quotes from top rated Angie's List providers and they were not too far off this figure, but were not the upgraded material we got from Precision Roof Crafters.
I am very happy with the end result.
Just 2 concerns: the first had to do with one of their employed technicians. He knew he was not to throw trash from the roof into the dumpster 4 stories below (we had scaffolding and a pulley system to remove debris). However, he did throw trash over the side of my house.. and when I confronted him, he was mad and unapologetic.. frankly, he was very rude to me. But Jeff handled the situation with the guy, and there were no other issues with that person. The other issue/headache was dealing with the office folks. We had asked for a lien release and a transferable warranty. Precision Roof Crafters had agreed in writing to these items. In the end, we got these - but we had to ask more than once for the final paperwork.
