Recommended Customer Reviews

This company has the worst customer service & follow up!!! They do not answer their phone, they don't return calls, they don't respond to text messages, NOTHING! Maybe they're a great company for new customers & new busine$$, but for existing customers & maintenance, they are horrible!!!
8 years ago we bought our home with the solar already installed & bought outright from this company by the previous owner. In Feb this year, we noticed our electric bill was higher than usual. It wasn't obvious to us but looking back over the months, we determined the solar was down since Sept 2021. We started to contact the company to come out & check what's going on. After a couple weeks of making several calls, leaving voicemail messages & sending text messages, we finally got in contact with them. They came out to take a look at our system & determined they needed to order a part. This was during the time of shipping delays & shortages of parts, etc... so they gave us a time frame of a few weeks. 2 months went by, so we decided to follow up on the status, again weeks of several calls, leaving voicemail messages, & sending text message, they finally returned our call. Said they'll look into the order of the part & called back saying there is a shortage so it'll take a while longer. Months had gone by at this point, we were now in the summer months, keep in mind our electricity bill is just going up as each day goes by. We called again to follow up, same frustrations & annoyance trying to get someone to talk to. Finally got in contact with someone in Sept, 7 months since we first contacted them, they sent someone out to look at our system & said the part they initially said we needed, was not the right call, so now they need to order us a new inverter! I was so upset & asked him ""couldn't you have made that decision when you came out here in February!"" First he said the new inverter would be here in a week, then he took a look at our system & said, it will take 6 weeks to come in. It's now been 3 months since they were last here. We have made several calls, left voicemail messages & sent several text messages & to this day, no one has contacted us!!!
We did not choose this company, we're just stuck with them! We would not choose to work with them for any future projects! False promises, horrible customer service & ZERO follow up! Good luck to whoever works with them, pray you don't have any jobs that require their maintenance!!!

Needed to have an aged deck and rotted out pergola replaced for our house. Met with numerous vendors and chose Precision who were extremely helpful and organized from the start. Went through timelines and set fair expectations. Pierce and the team were communicative and accommodating with any requests. Check-ins were timely and the whole project was finished ahead of schedule.
Definitely looking forward to working with Precision again.

Precision was easy to work with during our total balcony replacement. The job included tearing down the old balcony, adding two posts and a ledger for structural support above our carport and building the deck with composite TREX materials. They moved quickly and did a quality job for a fair price. They were also very flexible and responsive while we navigated through some HOA issues. Precision also offers convenient finance options.

I'm not one to write negative reviews but I feel the need to warn others before hiring this company:
We hired Precision to install a new roof and for some exterior remodeling. They made a complete mess in our attic when removing the old roof. Our attic stored boxes containing baby and kid items and we had told them about this before starting removal. They assured us it would not be messy (they would put the necessary covers down first) and we did not need to remove anything. This was not at all the case. Getting them to come back and clean up took forever and they only did a mediocre job with a ton of old roof debris still there now.
They outsourced the exterior remodel to another company without telling us, and that contractor has since told me that he'll never work with Precision again because they did not pay him in full. Precision's lack of communication and professionalism was completely aggravating and I would never recommend this company.
Since then, I've tried to contact precision several times for a copy of our roof warranty to show our homeowners insurance and I've not received a call back. Unacceptable.

I wanted to say that this company did an excellent job on my solar installation. Precision general was very efficient. They had a sense of urgency on how much I wanted this installed sooner than later.. They also worked with me on my budget. Walked me through the process and no matter who I spoke with, someone was always replying to me in a timely fashion. I feel very sure about the work that was installed and the new monitoring system and wall unit at a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this company. Professional, prompt, and trustworthy.

We are very pleased we decided to hire Precision for our solar! They were professional, timely and courteous. Communication was clear and concise. The changes we made increased the value of our home. I'd highly recommend Precision.

My experience with Precision General Contracting was not positive. I contracted with Precision Deck to install 2 decks over flat roofs and 2 sliding glass doors.
They started the project over 2 months late.
Before they started, they wanted a 80% progress payment.
This was estimated as a 10 day project,,,,it lasted just shy of 1 month
They used unskilled labor resulting in a poorly finished project. Among the many examples of poor workmanship, of the 6 deck post they installed, only 1 was plumb.
They cut corners and tried to do everything as cheaply as possible.
Once the old roof was removed, they increased the price by 33%.
The workers were incredibly messy, often leaving tools, materials, miscellaneous garbage,
In front and on the side of the house. I had to ask multiple times to remove the trash in front of the house.
After 2 coats of the waterproofing, we had a rainstorm and the roof leaked in multiple places.
Over the phone, the project manager tried to convince me it was condensation (as I watched the rain drops fall into my dining room) In their defense, they came out 2 days later and caulked and painted around the door. They claimed that it leaked because there was no flashing under the door. They installed the door. We sprayed it with water from the hose for 10 minutes. It did not leak.
This is just a fraction of the problems with Precision. I certainly would not recommend them

Bottom line is that after eight weeks, numerous re-do's and allot of needless irritation; we now have a nice deck built by Precision General Contracting (PGC). We are convinced, however, the if we hadn't taken the time to check nearly everything Manny, the onsite supervisor, and his crew did the outcome would have been much different. At first, we seemed to have a good working relationship with Manny. He always seemed too listened to our concerns and then promised to address them. After many such discussions we noticed that Manny seemed to do what he had to do to out of his face but he didn't take our concerns seriously. After our a few rounds with Manny we called the project manager Pierce but he referred us back to Manny. We aren't really sure what Pierce's job was but to take payment. He was absolutely not help to us. Finally we contacted Pierce's boss at (PGC) Samantha, and to her credit she followed up with both Manny and Pierce and got things done to our satisfaction.
Would we use PGC again? Frankly, no, It was just exhausting. The deck eventually turned to be ok, but it shouldn't have been that difficult. It was just a deck after all. I can't imagine what it would have been like if we had them do a bigger job for us like a kitchen or bathroom. It boggles the mind.

Be Warned!
Although I'm fairly pleased with the product and the color, there were so many problems because of the terrible supervision and boss (Sean, Pierce, AJ Abdul) I can't recommend them.
They have refused to come back and finish as promised..the trenched areas left un-stuccoed, they accidentally painted between the seams of the roll-up garage door, painted closed doors, trampled planted areas and the gutter and spilled paint and ruined some patio pavers...meanwhile Sean sat in his truck, leaving workers unsupervised or directed. Then he flat-out lied about what we'd agreed to do and NOT do, THEN they tried to charge me thousands more than the contract, refusing to provide a Change of Work Order (as per their own contract) or itemize the charges.
So, ""BUYER BEWARE"" if you hire them: (1) Insist on everything in writing, (2) record every conversation (3) be ready to be your own supervisor, mostly in Spanish, (4) be prepared for them to increase the cost and harass you for money you never agreed to pay.(5) Have a male friend present as a witness.

Do you want to keep your house cooler? I did! I was looking for a general contractor that could do repairs and refinish the exterior of my home. I found Precision General Contracting at the San Diego Home Show.
My house's exterior was in very bad condition with a ton of stucco/paint crumbling and gaping holes. The house was built in 1954 and I wanted to do a complete refinish of the exterior with stucco, fascia repairs and paint. Precision did it all. We encounter many unexpected areas that needed to be done during the process. I want to live in my house for at least the next 30 years and these repairs were necessary to keep my home in structural soundness. I chose the Coolwall Coating and have noticed a dramatic difference in the interior temperature of my home. It is at least 10 degrees cooler on hot days.
As the repairs were being done, we discovered more damage and each time something was discovered the Project Foreman, Sean, would discuss it with me and go over the extra costs. I did pay almost double for my project however the areas that were repaired were areas that I definitely wanted fixed. For example, a large structural beam was discovered to be completely deteriorated from termite damage. The crew uncovered the damage when removing the old stucco and I was very relieved. If the repairs weren't made when they did my home's foundation and main structural integrity may have been compromised. If I had gone with just a stucco company those repairs may not have been easily completed and I would have had to hire a second company. Precision did it all.
They did start two months behind schedule due to a backlog of supplies and having so many clients. It all worked out in the end and my home looks beautiful. I will definitely hire them again for any future repairs or an addition I'm planning!
