We purchased a solar system from this company in 2013. In less than 7 years we've seen major damage to the back of our roof which was only 5 years old when the solar was installed. Two independent contractors told us the same thing, the installation of the solar panels were so poorly done that it resulted in us having to have a 30 year roof redone in less than 12 years. When we contacted Precision General Contracting they gave us an estimate of nearly $4200 to take the solar panels off so we could have the roof repaired. When we confronted them with the issue of the installation they finally came out to look and concluded that, yes the installation was incorrect and that they would have a crew out the following week to take the panels off. After two weeks time and several emails that went unanswered we suggested that they should be not only responsible for reinstalling the panels properly but also be liable for the roof repair as well as the damage inside our home. To this Precision called us aggressive and belligerent and said they would no longer do business with us. At the time we had the solar installed we recommended this company to 3 other families who subsequently purchased their own systems, sales that probably exceeded $100,000 for Precision. We would not longer recommend this company to anyone for any type of construction, remodel or system. We have since hired another company to take off the solar panels for the roof repair at half the cost Precision quoted. We have filed complaints with the BBB and the CA State Contractors Licensing Board and intend on having to take them to Small Claims Court as well to recoup our losses.

They did a great job with my solar installation. I'd give 5 stars except
1) there was a minor issue with cleanup and
2) less than ideal workers work ethic...I wouldn't have allowed myself nor my employees (I am a business owner) as many breaks for as much time.
I realize that there are labor laws regarding breaks and break time, nonetheless The project could have been done in a more time efficient manner saving labor costs if those breaks were monitored more exactingly and the time where actual work was happening was supervised better.

We had our exterior painted by Precision, and we are definitely happy we chose them! They gave us a couple of options during the sales presentation, we opted to go for the more expensive lifetime exterior coating. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. Several of our neighbors have already complimented us on our new look. Our job superintendent Ed was very easy to work with, from color selection to coordinating the installation. We have nothing but good things to say about these guys. Thank you Precision team!

If you end up looking for solar and get on a solar call list, you are guaranteed to get multiple robo calls from Precision saying they are in your area and want to give you a quote for services. Even after asking them to remove you from their call list a couple months later you will get a call. If I need a contractor, I will find you. Any company that needs to use a robo call list to spam you for business is more times than not either shady or really hurting for business since they are not very good at what they do. I wouldn't have left this review if they had just left me off their call list but again today a call.

Precision replaced our roof and installed solar panels in three days. The large crew showed up on time, worked hard all day, and the final job looks great.

We had a misunderstanding regarding a full house attic fan. They had installed an attic vent fan instead. At our request they removed the vent fan and reimbursed what we had paid for it. I feel they acted in good faith and did all they could to make this right.

Our electric bills had been about $125.00 a month, and now has averaged about $15 a month with the solar, plus we'll get a nice tax credit for the solar! Thank you Precision!

So they send a rep through our neighborhood Saturday. We're doing a remodel so we actually welcome a quote for painting. The office calls us shortly thereafter on Saturday afternoon, sets up an appointment for Monday night, tells us we both have to be home, and then no one shows. When we fall to find out what happened, the gal who answers the phone cops an attitude and asks if we called to confirm the appointment. Seriously? Good luck with your business.

STAY AWAY! Shady calling practices. Started getting calls from them about 3 weeks ago. I was told I requested a quote, not true. I requested to be removed from their calling list and was told okay. Received another call today and politely requested to be removed from their calling list again. Trep on the line said ""you can't be removed from the phone book."" Who still has phone books?! Was almost considering having an estimate for work. That's no longer the case.

I highly recommend PGC for solar! They installed a 9.6kw system on our roof a few months ago and our SDGE bill is now only $20 per month! The guys were all very nice, professional and accommodating. Although the process took a few months, they communicated the entire time to let us know where the project was and what to expect next. We're doing some other renovations to our house soon and when the time comes we plan to have them come back to do our windows, exterior painting, and patio cover. Thank you PGC! This years summer has been brutal but at least now our energy bills won't be too!

We had them install our hvac. Not only did they overcharge us for the cheapest system but 2 years 10 months later the system broke and water leak into our house causing $15,000 in damages! We found out through 2 different compaines we hired that the emergency valve was not installed per mfg specs. And they didnt install the secondary pan, which came with the system we purchase. We contacted the owner and he claims it wasnt their fault. We will never do business with them again!!!!!
