I had Galen go over to my mom's house first to fix a small area of the roof, and he did an outstanding job. I then called him over to my house for an inspection and suggestion for any repairs that needed to be done. He found several things that needed attention, did them all and MORE just to make sure it was done right. Followed up with full description of the work, photos, etc. All at a very fair price..My g/f who is a realtor is going to start using him as a vendor. You need roof work done? Call Galen!

Great roofing company, I highly recommend them. They showed up on time, kept me in the loop as roof repairs were being completed, made some repairs that where not in the original bid without charging us extra. They also do a complete photo journal of the damage and repairs made which is awesome since I'm not a big fan of roofs and heights. I can't say enough good about Galen and his crew. I contacted Galen at Powers Roof Service and discussed my leak problem and his preliminary diagnosis. We scheduled a time for him to come out, and he confirmed our appointment and he showed on time.

Galen was able to immediately find the leak and also additional problems with the rake edges and chimney. When the roofers who installed the roof they did not overlap the outer edge of the roofing joist with the roofing felt, and also did not run the tiles out to the edge of the roof, only far enough to go under the rake tiles. This allowed wind driven rain to be blown under the rake tiles and enter into the exposed wooden substructure under the tiles and then run down the walls and drip from the header of the window. He repaired the leak, fixed the chimney problem, and sealed all of the rake edge tile to prevent any future problems He also found a few cracked tiles and replaced them. After everything was completed Galen told me that they did not use as much material as he originally thought and reduced my price by $300. How about that, nobody does that in this day and age. So thankfull.

I am extremely satisfied with the response and service I received. Galen and his crew are very friendly and easy to get along with, and they did an excellent job and cleaned up their mess before leaving. If you have a leaking tile roof don't bother calling anyone else.

I did extensive Yelp research before choosing Powers Roof Service and am grateful for the prior reviews. Galen far exceeded what I thought was possible and my expectations were already elevated from all the reviews. He showed me how a roof works and what aspects on my roof weren't working properly. He did a short term fix for my initial small leak immediately and came back a month later to put a permanent fix in place as well address numerous other issues that were likely to cause leaks in the future. I especially appreciated his discussing each issue with me and describing how likely each was to cause future problems and the timeline. His quote for the long term fixes reflected that as well so I could choose the fixes likely to be needed for the 3-5 years I expect to remain in this house. In other words he helped me prioritize the fixes I needed versus improvements that are nice to have in the long run. Throughout the process he took pictures and explained them all in detail the before and after and even sent them all to me via dropbox afterwards. The price seemed reasonable though I didn't bother getting any other quotes after meeting Galen. I feel completely confident in his work and will recommend him to others.

We hired Galen based on his Yelp reviews and we were NOT disappointed. He is absolutely an expert at what he does. He is passionate, knowledgeable, prompt and honest. He and his crew took 40 pictures of the work they did, before, during and after and e-mailed them to us. This was going above and beyond and it was so appreciated. His bid to us was actually a little over what the job ended up costing, so he sent us a refund in the mail (since we paid him before the job was done, as we were both at work when they finished). What honesty! We can now sleep safely knowing our roof is in top-notch condition and will not need any attention except simple gutter cleaning for the next few decades. If you're looking for someone to service your roof, you're wasting your time to look elsewhere. Hire Galen right away - you will be very happy you did!

I was looking for help on a Sunday with a suspicious ceiling bubble and emailed Powers Roof Service because of their great ratings.
In my haste, I didn't realized Powers works on tile roofs. I was even more disappointed my roof wasn't a tile roof as President Galen Powers personally answered my email even though I had followed up with an email admitting my error, as I have a composite roof.
Galen was apologetic and completely professional, making me even more regretful that he just doesn't work on my type of roof. His caring concern about me finding the right professional was such a nice touch. I had not even met him, but he already had my trust. Granted, this is a Sunday, but Galen was the only one to respond to my email.
Thank you Galen! I wish every professional experience could be as positive.
