Jeff T.I have never had to use a roofing company before, but we got hit with the hurricane so I called Power Roofing because they were doing my neighbors roof also. I have to say, in my opinion it was a complete disaster from start to finish (oh! if it was actually finished). They came out and looked at the roof, and tarped it due to a couple small leaks. I asked over and over for a written estimate, they refused they told me they only go by what the adjuster puts in his report. To me that was odd, the moral of the story is you are not able to shop prices with them, I think I should have been able to get a cash price from them, what does it really matter, in the end they are getting paid immediately anyway. I just could not understand this philosophy, had I not already tarped the roof I would have just went to someone else. So if the insurance estimate was high, they got all the profit and I got nothing out of it. Unfortunately due to it being the hurricane we were all at the mercy of the contractors. I have still to this day never received a receipt, nor have they even bothered to come and finish the interior painting that was included in my insurance estimate. I have called numerous times and still have got nothing, I have been told we are working on it, I guess I should have never given them the check until the job was complete.
