I made a poor choice with Power Home Remodeling. Do better than I did. If you've recently signed a contract, hopefully you're still within the cancellation window...cancel!

Usually, a ""Superior product"" comes with service that's at least a little better than a trip to the DMV and a quality finished product. Not at Power Home Remodeling! You'll pay a premium price to be treated like a number & get to enjoy less-than acceptable work!

In my experience, this company cares about its profit more than its customer's satisfaction.

1) allowing (encouraging?) sales to set inaccurate expectations - sales has no knowledge of current production times related to supply chain issues

2) no proactive communication along the way.

3) a poor finished product

My project was delayed by 15 weeks from the expectation set by sales and by 6 weeks from the revised ""promise date"" set at inspection - I learned of each of the delays when I called. You read that right...when I called.

I understand the supply chain issues. But to make sure sales doesn't know the real story about true expected install timeframes is downright corrupt, and it's not too much to ask that someone there would pick up the phone and make an outbound phone call to give a heads up on status.

DAY BEFORE the ""Promise install Date"" set at inspection I thought to myself, ""they promised they would be here in the morning to start, but I haven't heard any confirmation, so maybe I should call before I start taking down blinds/curtains & moving furniture"". So I call & nope. ""It'll be next week.""

It wasn't. It was six weeks.

If, as you say in your reply to this review that, ""the satisfaction of [your] customers throughout the entire remodeling process [is your] top priority"" then, communication about delays (breaking promises) seems table-takes to make your actions match the words, no?

Here is a snippet of a recent conversation I had with Shane, one of PHR's managers, regarding the (apparently novel) suggestion/expectation of proactive communication:

Shane: ""If we were going to call every single one of our customers about delays in their projects, we would have to hire a person to do JUST that job alone!""

Me: ""Yes. Yes, you absolutely should if that's what it takes. It's not too much of an ask from your customers. In fact, I had sliding doors done by another company in the same industry. Supply chain issues affected them too, but the difference was that they at least called me to let me know, and they're a smaller company""

Shane: ""That's exactly why they could call. They can call because they're smaller""

Wut? ""Smaller"" = ""more resources to make phone calls"" ??? I'm not tracking...

Here's an idea, PHR: hire the person you evidently need in order to be able to communicate with your customers, and you won't need to pay the marketing department so much to manage your online reputation. Whatdya think? No? Hire more door-knockers instead? Ok. Gotcha.

I should have had the ""smaller"" company do my windows too. They were less expensive. I chose PHR because of the difference in expectations around install. The ""smaller"" one said it'd be 30 weeks-ish. PHR at sales appt said 9 to 11 weeks, and because they boast this exclusive manufacturer relationship...so it made sense to me.

Nope. I was just duped. Turns out the ""smaller"" company is also honest up-front. And, yes, I'm frustrated. Mostly tho with myself for not sniffing a snake.

Windows installed today. They're nice as Power didn't make them.

The work Power did was not commensurate with what you'd call ""a superior product"" The trim work is horrible, didn't bother to clean up afterwards. Sure did the work fast tho!

And!! They DID make an outbound phone call! While the crew was still caulking the trim, they called to collect the balance

In summary:

Corrupt, dishonest sales process.

Horrible service.

Shoddy work.

My review on Google won't show up unless you use Duck Duck Go

I'm not one to post negative reviews, because stuff happens and ""oopsies"" should receive grace, and I prefer to be the one to talk about great experiences - people don't praise as much as they
should.

In this case though, I feel the need to warn people. This company is not honest. They aren't even kind for that matter. Due diligence.... Please do yours, as I made a mistake, and didn't. I regret every penny I gave them.

Low pressure sales approach sounds easy but when every factor accommodates the business, customer satisfaction cannot be guaranteed. Not hanging out at Sam's Club, reps are knocking on doors in No Solicitation neighborhoods. My sign is posted clearly as it is at the neighborhood entry. I compromised my appointments to listen to the 'free offer' that took 20 minutes in 90+ degree sun, interrupting plans I committed to when planning my schedule a week earlier. Respect residents' request to work in peace; be considerate of obvious preference to focus without interruption.

The customer service experience throughout was excellent. The attention to detail and education I received made me feel confident that I chose the right company to install the windows in our home. Mason, Steven, and Shane were very professional throughout all the obstacles encountered during the install process.

Had a great experience with Zach through the window consultation process. he was thorough, professional and a true trusted resource through our decisions based on our budget. we ended up going with 2 windows on the front that had the most damage based on his assessment and a smaller window he worked through the numbers that fit a comfortable budget for us to finance month to month. we got a prompt call around our estimated implementation date to schedule a day and time that worked for us. Trevor and Austin who installed our windows were very friendly and made me feel safe being home alone during the install. quick and easy install and cleanup within 3 hours for 3 windows. worth the investment so far based on having zero complaints with the plethora of engagements we've had across the company. 5/5 recommend.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with was completely professional and easy to work with. First they had a canvasser in the neighborhood, who set up a meeting for later on when we (my husband and I were both home). They called to confirm the appointment. The sales pitch was rather long and made longer due to my kids running around). However it was an entire tutorial on the product, (very high quality), entire home window inspection, with a super awesome lady who was very patient and easy to talk to, and also explained everything including the quote in great detail. It's a lot of money, but worth every cent. We decided to do an immediate 2 windows, and although we had been set up for a later installation date, the windows came in sooner and the install happened 20 days earlier than expected. The scheduling was easy, and when the installers arrived, they were great. Their team leader was even quiet initially (a baby was still sleeping at first), professional, and everything went very smoothly. I asked them a few questions, and they had great customer service. With the new windows installed, it is quiet and cool. You see the sun, but don't feel it. We are pleased. I would definitely recommend this company and it's product. I'd like to completely replace all our other windows with this company.

I normally would turn away someone knocking on my door trying to sell me something, or even make an appointment to have them come by later and cancel the appointment to be rid of them, but the low pressure presence and friendliness of the visitor made me keep this date. The salesman was friendly, informative, and responsive to our questions concerning quality, cost, and was able to get us set up with an affordable option that that same night that we were able to get installed in short order, leaving our home clean, brighter, and cooler in the bright Florida sun. From start to finish they went out of their way to get the job done right.

First I'll saying the reason for the 2 stars and not less is because the window installation crew has done a wonderful job and showed up. Now the next part is why the LOW rating.

We signed a contract with them to install the radiant barrier and all new windows. 2x they failed (CREW FOR THE RADIANT BARRIER). 2x they NEVER SHOWED UP(CREW FOR THE RADIANTBARRIER). 2x power remodeling head quarters had no idea where their crews were. 2x I had to rearrange my plans and they conveniently had car troubles BOTH TIMES. I call BS. Don't say your going to be somewhere if you know darn well you don't want to go. Im going to say don't even think about using this incompetent company if they attempt to sell you the radiant barrier.... the crew they use is completely unreliable will lie just cause they are lazy and power remodeling will ONLY say SORRY. When your spend thousands of dollars you expect a certain level of trust. In which they don't have my trust I don't trust them to walk my dog or take out my trash Completely unacceptable!!!!!!!!! I am an over the road truck driver so my time home is extremely valuable as I dont get home often AT ALL ( 1 week for every3 months I'm gone). So to not show up 2x I'm over being appalled or even disgusted. You had 3 months to train a LOCAL crew to be able to do this. So yes power home remodeling is responsible for their crews bad and the negligence for lack of professionalism.

The window installation crew is very prompt and friendly. They were seriously awesome. So I can not knock them as they are also a subcontractor crew. I will hold Power home remodeling fully responsible.

Do not let these people in your home.
Someone came to my door offering ""a free window estimate"" we were considering replacing 3 of our front windows.
They are super invasive. Both the guy who orig offered the estimate started probing for personal questions. Who lives here? Do you have kids? What other construction have you done.
Then the 2nd guy that came out to measure just went on and on asking excessive personal questions and explaining in far too much detail the process of window is to be replaced. I felt like I was being interviewed not the other way around.
When we finally shut him down (After 40 mins!!!) and just straight asked for the quote he pulled up Google and showed us window average cost from on google.
No written quote was offered, no showing of types of windows. Also we have a high risk family member so when booked the appointment we stressed that they needed to wear a mask and social distance. His mask was falling off his face for most of the conversation and proceeded to look around our house to see what we had. He wasn't just looking at windows either.
He was more worried about our personal business. My husband got very angry because of the mask etiquette. We were so agitated at the meeting we just had to end it. Don't let these people in your house.
