Great company to work with! Very prompt response to phone calls. Very reasonable quote that they honor. The roofing crew cleaned up extremely well before leaving the job site!
I'll call them first next time! They have been in business in Lubbock for many years and I know why!

Plains did an excellent job on my roof. I'm in the process of selling my home and they moved things around on the schedule to accommodate me and got it done in one day. They also worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything was covered correctly. They cleaned up so well you would never know they were here, can't recommend them enough!

I simply needed to pause for a minute to gloat on Plains Roofing. Dustin Carpenter and his group went well beyond to ensure we were fulfilled. He even helped me manage my insurance agency. His group finished the activity in two days! Dustin kept me refreshed all through the entire procedure, and he was so natural to work with. In light of all the ongoing Hail and Wind Damage, I exceptionally suggest getting a second assessment from Plains Roofing. You won't be disappointed!

Had a leak after storms and Plains Roofing was quick to come assess, bid, replace the roof, and help me through the process of working with my insurance company. They were great to work with!

Just had my roof replaced by Plains. I was very pleased with all phases of the process. Dustin gave me the original quote and everything was done as it had been quoted. The crew that did the job was courteous, as quite as can be expected for a roofing job ( no radio music from the rooftop ), and they covered and protected plants and flowerbeds, and took great pains to clean up all nails trash, etc.
Overall I was very pleased with the work that was done.

I had a really wonderful experience working with Dustin and Plains Roofing. Dustin was open and honest, and very knowledgeable. They completed the work in a day and a half, and it looks great! They helped me work through insurance issues and made sure that my mother did not have to pay out of pocket for repairs. I highly recommend them!!

They were very reasonable and offer great customer service! Dustin explained everything for me in detail, and made sure I was getting the best quality shingles and the best deal possible. They did the repairs for half of the price another company had quoted me. He also explained to me that the shingles currently on my home have been discontinued, but he was able to find a VERY close match and you can't even tell the difference! Will definitely be using them again! :)

We have had several roofs replaced by Plains Roofing & every time we have had superior service & quality workmanship. The roofers were courteous & always cleaned up when the job was completed. Pam Carpenter is a hero in our book, because she solved a very frustrating water-shed problem that flooded our garage every time it rained. Her knowledge & expertise corrected this problem that no one else could seem to fix. NO MORE LEAKS! We highly recommend Plains Roofing !!!

Plains Roofing re-roofed entire house including re-decking June 2014. On the one year old roof I now have leaks around the flashing and edges of every gable (6), a major leak around the chimney. This boils down to I now have more leaks than I did with the previous 12 year old roof I as replacing.
When I called the first time the site manager came out and said the mild smell near the chimney and back door must be rising up from the ground of the pier and beam house. I wasn't able to pin point the leaks at that time because they were slow oozing because I was snow with a slow melt off versus rain. Then several months later I was able to photo document all the leaks during a rainstorm. I also marked where water was running in with a sharpie on the entire of the attic. I have subsequently gotten out ladders and looked at the leaking areas from the exterior. There are places where there are exposed uncaulked nail heads, there are places where I can see the interior wood of the roof around the gables, there are places where the caulking job is incomplete. Additionally the job was for architectural shingles, which they used, but they did not use architectural shines on the top ridge and several other places--they used the flat shingles. Plains came out once more, caulked a few of the spots, but did not resolve the problem or the reason for the problem. After this one caulking job, they would no longer return calls to remediate the multiple leaks.
Some straight forward google research made it clear that 1. the flashing should be behind the stucco not on top 2. the chimney should have counterflashing 3. best practice also indicates flashing should be mechanically bent not hand pressing the folds (this is not true for lead flashing which can be hand pressed)...hand pushing the flashing they installed to sort of fit creates waves in the flashing. Since they put the flashing on top of the stucco at the base of the gables and it has already pulled away in numerous places, an alternate fix (not best/but would make a significant difference) would be to counterflash it.
After Plains Roofing came out and caulked a few spots, they no long returned calls to alleviate the roof/flashing leak issues. I have since had to hire another crew to install all the counter flashing because I have to resolve the leaks. I will send Plains a bill for the remediation of the flashing they installed incorrectly or incompletely with the new decking and new roof. Sigh.
I would definitely not recommend them and encourage you to avoid them to resolve your roofing issues.

To be fair, the owner of Plains Roofing sent us a check for $400 to repay us for the patching job that did not hold up. The owner scolded us a bit for not working with them and complaining directly to him. We tried! See my original review. As of this month my husband and I are still paying off the $12,000 we had to borrow to do the job last summer.
