Bad experience from beginning to end. The project started a month later than agreed without any communication of delay. It ended up coinciding with major surgery and recovery.
The pallets of roofing tiles were delivered in the driveway with no notice, blocking the car in the garage. The nailing missed beams in multiple places, added on charges that should have been included in initial quote, (fascia and stucco repair), and now a cracked flat bed garage roof that the roofing crew walked on repeatedly to dump tiles into the dumpster parked in the driveway. Pit Crew Roofing is not taking any responsibility for damaging the flat roof. But, they could give me a quote, lol! How It Happened:
Got a low quote, they offered a $1000 off if I signed within a limited time. Clearly, I shouldn't have focused on the pricing, but, quality, accurate measurements, and more transparency about being affiliated with Hippo Roofing, that has a 1.9 star review on Yelp and other site reviews.
It had good google reviews, nice salesman (Eddie) and customer service and notary (JoJo) that seemed knowledgeable and genuine. Since the issues have accumulated, my calls and emails to Mickey have gone unreturned. Those issues include a dispute for a reasonable cost for the additional charges for 40 linear feet of fascia and one layer of stucco. They quoted the price for 60 linear feet. We measured ourselves and they acknowledged and adjusted the account to reflect the correct measurements, after we pointed out the discrepancy. The one star reviews on Google are indicative of my negative experience with Pit Crew Roofing. Customers, that have complaints say that attempts of communication don't result in great customer service, but, unreturned calls and emails. The employees don't seem able to, ""do the right thing"".

Reached out to Pit Crew in 2024 to get a quote for a new roof on my home. Vinnie provided it after a site visit. A few months later, went forward with the work as quoted. Everything went well up to conclusion. However, several of my family members that worked in the roofing in the industry noticed a significant dent/dip in the ridge vent shingles. I was told that it shouldn't be that way. I notified my sales rep and the office manager. I followed up several times to get an update. I was informed that they would be meeting internally and scheduling to replace the underlying plywood (which they said was the problem and they werent sure why it was not replaced during the original reroof process) and the shingles. And that was the last I heard. The repair was never completed, I was never contacted after that. Disappointing that you pay so much for a product or service and then have to basically chase down the company to provide quality, complete service. I wouldn't and have not recommended Pit Crews Service after my installation service.

""Bait and switch scam?"" Not quite sure. I contacted Pit Crew for an estimate for a very specific metal roof and color replacement for my concrete tile roof due to damage. The representative ( a very cordial, professional and nice young man) showed up on-time, shared their product (which I loved) and then proceeded to inspect my roof for damage and potential replacement. His inspection and assessment matched a few others that I had obtained, and so I thought we were on the same page as to what the job would entail. I knew up-front that it would be an expensive job and he then prepared for me an estimate based on the specific roof, materials and color that we had discussed. For the most part, the estimate was a very competitive estimate and we were seriously considering hiring them for this large job as I liked the presentation and professionalism exhibited by the young man. When I contacted Pit Crew a few weeks later to have the same young man come out and potentially moved ahead with the process, he came out and presented me with the roof paperwork - but then, despite having his previous estimate for the VERY specific roof and color that we had agreed on, he then informed that if I wanted this roof there would be an additional ""up-charge"" of well over $6000 if i wanted to go ahead with this roof choice. I then questioned him about the very estimate I had in my hand for that exact roof that he had previously provided to me and ""why would there be an up-charge for a roof that he had already provided me an estimate for?"" I could tell that he didn't quite have a logical answer for my question, and it became quite clear that this wasn't coming from him, but those from ""higher-up"". I told him that an estimate provided for a roof and color that we agreed on is an estimate for a roof and color that we agreed on and that this last-minute ""up-charge"" for the same roof is complete BS. I then asked him to leave me the paperwork to be reviewed by my own attorney, and he said he couldn't do that unless I ""signed"" the ""Good Faith"" agreement up front. Obviously, I declined and sent him on his way. A few hours later, I then received a phone call from him saying that his Boss would be willing to split the $6000+ up-charge with me - I said, ""you're kidding, right?"" Um.....NO! Since then, I've received a few phone messages asking me if i want to proceed, that I have not returned only because of my anger of almost falling for what I consider a classic ""bait and switch"" scheme. Full Transparency and honesty mean everything to me, and if you can't provide that to me, then you will not get my business. In all fairness - i am convinced that this young man was indeed honest and upfront, but was instructed by his superiors to take this approach. So - maybe this is the reason for the many problems that homeowners and insurance companies are faced with after a natural disaster? This was my honest experience with Pit Crew Roofing a few weeks ago based on my own recollection. What a shame, they could've had my business had they not been so greedy.

Beware! We hired Pit Crew Roofing to repair a leak for my elderly parents who are in their 80's. We also had four other actual roofers come out and give us estimates (not sales reps). The four other roofers came in between $1500 and $2000 after going on the roof, in the attic and inside the house. All things Micco the sales rep from Pit Crews did not do. He gave us a verbal estimate for 1/2 day at $1375. However, when I got the written contract, it was for a full day ($1375. X 2) and they wanted half up front. When I questioned this change, I was told by Jazmin that Micco was new and it could potentially take a full day which is why the contract was for a full day as opposed to a half day. However, she assured me that in the event it only takes the half day quoted, we will be paid in full, having put down $1375 up front.
The first day, the roof tech arrived alone, unprepared and without materials. He assessed the roof, took pictures and sat in his car half the time he was here. The second day he showed up, he brought his wife to help him clean up. The two were there from 9-3 and gone 2 hours in the middle of the day. I was then told I had to pay for 2 days instead of the initial 1/2 days work I was quoted. When I addressed my concerns to Micky the sales manager, he billed for a total of one and a half days ... still 3 times the original estimate.
I've asked to speak to the owner several times who has yet to reach out to me. A few days after the work was supposedly completed, it is still leaking in the same spot. Now they won't fix it until we pay for the disputed remaining balance. So unethical. Tell customers it will be 1/2 day and then send one person who works at his own pace, all the while charging by the 1/2 day. Then, after taking 1/2 of money for the job, refuse to compete the job until the disputed balance is paid in full?? Let me guess, I pay 3 times the amount quoted for a roof that is not completed and I'm supposed to believe they will come complete the work AFTER I pay them???

From signing The contract till receiving the bill Pit Crew did not contact my manager Kristen From innovation property management even once, since I am not in Melbourne Like we spoke at time of the signed the contract . Second thing, when Donnie the salesman came to give me the offer, he said that there was very little rot in 3 places and it was about 18 feet of fica. As for how much plywood you need, you won't know until the shingles are taken off, which is clear and understandable. When I received the bill, they claimed they put 232 feet of fica And 12 Flawood, they didn't even bother to call Kristen or pick up the phone to report to us For change of order
. And they are trying to charge us almost 35% more than the price quote we received.....and the worst thing is that they offered me a $1000 discount on the condition that I Take off my review in Google, as an honest person I obviously refused, the money doesn't matter to me, their moral honesty was revealed Simply unethical, dishonest and trustworthy. It's a shame that there are people in this world who are capable of cheating and lying.
Warning !!!warning !!!warning.!!!!

We are so pleased with the work that Pit Crew has done with replacing our roof. It has a lot of wood rot which we had no idea about, but they have replaced the wood and have done an exceptional job. Mickey and Sean have been keeping us very informed on how the job is coming. The roofers themselves have been very professional and have kept everything clean up each day. I would highly recommend them.

They are a bunch of bums that don't keep their word about sending a quote via email as promised after they inspect your roof. Always have an excuse if they even call you back. They put our roof on in 2015 and Tom Preanni was very nice to deal with. Then we needed a roof on our screen porch and dealt with Sean Flannigan and it was a pleasure at that time also. They were here when they said they would be and completed when they said. We told our daughter to call the since she had the same problem with her screen porch roof and the person that went out 2 weeks ago never sent the email & she still hasn't received a bid, then a guy by the name of Mickey called her today, he said the girl is no longer here and further more they don't do those kind of roofs. They just did ours in May!!!! That company is the PITS just like their name. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. They are HORRIBLE, don't waste you money or time on these BUMS. They have a few good people that know what they're doing, but most don't.

When we discovered we had a leak we realized our roof was 17 years old and patching not the best idea. Mickey came out and gave us a good estimate explaining all our options. He even hooked us up with the Pace program which made it affordable. Sean the project manager followed up on every step and even installed the Solar attic fans himself. We did have a mishap but one call had someone on the roof in no time.. Late that evening we noticed a problem from the high winds. Sean came out flashlight in hand and corrected the problem himself. The crews policed the yard every evening before leaving and returned all the materials to the staging area. The new roof looks great.

Pit Crew did a fantastic job on my tile roof repair! They were prompt when scheduled to do the repair. They went the extra mile to find tiles that matched and completed the job in a timely manner for the agreed upon price. Highly recommend them!

Rusty took care of an issue on our flat roof. He came up with a solution that took care of our problem.
