As all the five star ratings state, John is a good and experienced roofer. Nice personality and knows his stuff. Reliable and responsive. We had a two story house and detached garage done in about a week give or take. Not much rain since December so we may have to wait until next year to see that our few leaks are no longer a problem. Definitely call John for an estimate; you won't be disappointed.

I had a great experience with Pinecrest Roofing. The estimate was more than fair and the work was excellent. John even identified a problem with the drainage on parts of my roof and came up with a solution.

The job didn't take long to complete. John went to the city and got the permit, saving me the hassle of having to do that.

All in all it was just a great experience. I would highly recommend Pinecrest Roofing and I've already recommended them to friends and family.

From the first quote, John was safe, courteous and completely forthright.

The work on our roof was done thoroughly and quickly. His crew was courteous and, when asked, knowledgeable about other things that needed repair (trim, stucco on house).

He also gave us great deal and wonderful installation of new gutters.

Finally he's, above all, a nice guy with a stellar work ethic.

Highly recommend John! Responded to my phone message quickly. Free estimate. We had other estimates. His wasn't the lowest price. But we chose him because of his professionalism and experience. Glad we did!

He warned us we would need tarp to cover our belongings in the garage to catch debris when he tore off the old-roof. We did that. And he actually apologized because so much dust, debris came down. No need. The tarps did the job!

Two-day process to replace our garage roof. Cleared away the old roof on day one. Installed new one day two. Started at 7:30am each morning and worked to completion. He cleaned up everything.

Very impressed!

I made an appointment with my tenants for him to check a leak in my roof, I call him up at 3:30 when he stated he would be there then he tells me there will be a 150 charge for him to come. Please, If you're going to charge people to come, maybe disclose that up front before is all.

Set an appointment for an estimate and he never showed up. No cancellation call, no follow up later with a ""oh, sorry, screwed up"". Nothing.

Needed a new roof. John, the owner came over and explain options and materials, could tell he really knew his stuff. He gave me a great quote detailing exactly what would be done. I hired him and was so happy I did. He did clean and timely work. This was two years ago and we have no leaks and roof looks as great as the day he installed it. Oh yea, he came over and installed beautiful gutters.

John did some roof repair work on my first house - a traditional 1947 single-story home with asphalt shingles that needed a new ridge, pipes sealed, and a dormer vent replaced (total cost of the job: $750) - and I was very pleased with the finished product. So when I moved into my new house - a 1926 single-story Spanish style home with clay tiles - and discovered a roof leak, I called 3 companies to get estimates on the work.

One company came out on 3/11/13 to inspect the site but we never received an estimate from them. Another company was scheduled to come out on 3/19/13, and John came out in between. During the course of his inspecting, John discovered the problem (a 1/2"" hole in a metal valley on the roof) and sealed it up on site ($75). He said if it still leaked after his work, he would come back and repair it at no charge.

It rained twice since the repair work was done but only lightly and there was no sign of leaking. The true test will be when we get a hard, driving rain (the kind that first alerted us to there being a leak), but should the leak reappear I am confident that John will indeed come out and make things right.
