Pickell Roofing installed a comp roof for a house of mine in Oakley and everything went very smoothly. They showed up when they said they would and finished the job on scheduled. The cleaned up after the job and the new roof looks great. Their price was the best out of all the other quotes I got too.

Nine months later another house of mine had a roof leak and Mike personally came out and repaired it for me. That saved me from having to get a new roof right away. When that house needs a new roof, Mike and Pickell Roofing is the one I'll be calling.

Needed a new roof on my rental house and received a referral from a close friend and got estimates. Mike's was the lowest bid and went with him based on that and the referral. Unfortunately the economy has been hard on Mike and without telling me when he did the bid he has laid off all but one member of his crew. Told me he would have the job done in one day then changed that to two days. The first day a Wed. there was only one guy on the roof and he left at 3:30 pm,, 2nd day no one showed up and Mike finally called me at 10:30 am to tell me that no one would be there that day. Told me that he would have the job done by that Friday. Never heard from him again but neighbors told me that the job looked like it was done by Tuesday (week later). Called Mike only to have him tell me that he was going to call me when he had the permit signed off. The next Thursday I was at the property only to find that there were holes in the stucco where the new downspouts replaced the old ones and the cable for the TV dish was hanging down from the rafters. Mike said that he doesn't normally patch the stucco holes. He also said that the city inspection office was closed on Fridays so he was expecting them to come out the following Monday. After going down that day he found out that they were not closed and the permit was finally signed nine days after the job began.
When I told him that I wanted a dark charcoal roof he disagreed with me and put on the color that he thought would look better. When I told him that I wanted color coordinated gutters and downspouts he said that he couldn't match the trim color (green) and put white gutters and downspouts on. Every house on the block except mine has color coordinated gutters and downspouts. When I told him the house behind me had the same color gutters and downspouts that I had wanted he said that they must of painted them in place (it's a 2nd story house).
It seems that Mike has had a tough time lately. The roof and gutters look good and his quote was a little cheaper than the others. If you don't have a preference on the color of your roof, downspouts and gutters or how long the job will take then Pickell roofing will get the job done.

Hands Down.... The finest roofing company in the East bay!! I had several Bid's for a new roof. Mike and his crew (that have been with Him over 10 years, and he is the new guy!) they did everything and more. On time each day, job completed on time and a VERY competitive price.
Thanks to Mike and His Crew, we now have one of the nicest roofs in the neighborhood.
