I had an appt at 10:00 today for Mitchell to come out and give me a bid on a skylight installation. No one came or called. I called them to see what happened and Mitchell was ""double booked"" and at another appt. No apology or anything. I rearranged my day to be here. These people stink.

Used them because they were the most expensive and I wanted a good job. The painters did the best they could but seemed extremely rushed. When I asked them to slow down and recheck a few items the lead guy mentioned that they are only getting paid 680.00 for the job that was to be divided between the 3 of them. That's not much considering it took them 3.5 days. I was disappointed considering that I was paying 2800 to Phillips painting. I understand that business runs on more than just good intentions but to only pay the subs 25% is unfair to them and the home owners. Feeling bad for the workers I offered them each 100 extra to come back and fix it on the following Saturday. I gave them 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. Hope this saves someone from the Phillips Trap that is becoming more and more apparent
Friday, April 12, Lowgan came to the house to give me a gutter estimate. I signed the paperwork to have work done on the home. April 15th, I receive an email from Debs advising that they had received my order and that they would be following up weekly to advise when they would set up apt for gutters. She provides a link to the email for 'production' so I could inquire directly to them. I respond to Debs asking when I can expect the work to get done. Debs does not respond and I send an email on April 16th to production link, they do not respond. April 20th, I send a follow up email. Nothing. Tuesday, May 13th, I send an additional email and call Phillips and advise of lack of follow up. May 14th, I receive a callback from Maggie , however they cannot find my information in the system; I am a return customer; at least I was. Finally, she find my information, but cannot find the detail around the gutters. She advises that someone from production will give me a call back to schedule an appt. So after all the trouble of following up with PHillips- one would think that they would be quick to follow up. Nope, they weren't. I will NOT be using Phillips for any work. Lowgan was extremely kind and professional.
Justin C.We worked with Taylor on our gutters and siding repair project and very much appreciated her helpfulness, responsiveness, and follow-through. What we liked most was the time the Phillips team spent walking our property with us and explaining, in detail, the repairs and additions within the scope of work. I would happily recommend Phillips and their team.
I would not recommend these guys the workers did a great job but they tell you they will do things and show you what you think your getting and in the end it cost a lot more. I wanted them to pressure wash the whole house it was $ 180.00 added and it was never done also I was told they would replace boards if they needed it in the end to replace 2 chimney boards 1x3 buy 5 feet high was $106.00 when asked about the price because they never told me it was going to be extra and for the price of the boards I went to home Depot and they were 8 dollars for each. Also had a quote for gutters Sally showed me the ones I thought I was getting I mean $3800 what she showed me was gutters with gards but they did not come with gards. When I called her she said she missed spoke so in the end Sally new what I was going through with cancer and having to do chemo and other things. They took advantage and I don't want it to happen to other people I don't have it in me to fight with them. so I paid them. I can only tell others to watch out for the way they do things. Good luck and I tried to worn you.
Nancy S.As project manager of an exterior paint job, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased with the work. He was knowledgeable, very thorough in explaining, extremely considerate and pleasant to work with.
The company as a whole needs to have better communication between divisions. I got conflicting information on scheduling and the process to complete the work. Too many people called about the same project. All phone calls should be identified on caller ID as Phillips.
The final results were excellent!
Very Poor Customer Service! They never showed up for the scheduled estimate. I called 15 min after scheduled time and they weren't sure what happened but thought that the person coming out was having car trouble and would call back. They never called back, so finally I called them back at 3:45 and they told me my appointment had been canceled because they were not able to reach me the previous day to confirm my appointment.
We have had two good experiences with Phillips. We had a roofing technician come out quickly and assess an annoying (noisy vent) situation and resolve it in a snap. He offered to tidy our rooftop up with a reasonably priced plan so we did that. We scheduled gutters and they were installed last week. The crew was tidy and super nice and did a beautiful job. I can't wait for it to rain!
I've had tons of experience with contractors. Mostly bad. This was a good experience. They followed up to ensure the work was done well in each case. And it was! No trash all over the yard or mess.
