Our roof was damaged in a storm and since it was the original roof from when our home was built in the 80s, we decided to do a full roof replacement. We had already been looking into solar so we also decided to install solar panels along with the roof replacement. We contacted multiple companies and obtained quotes from each one. Amerisun offered the most competitive quote and we were impressed by the copious amount of education the sales rep, Mike, provided us regarding the different types of roofing material and solar panels.

During the roof installation, Amerisun found additional damage to the plywood and gutters, and worked with our homeowners insurance directly to answer questions about the damage to ultimately get all of the roofing repairs covered by our insurance. Not only was this super helpful and great customer service, by working with our insurance agent, Amerisun saved us money.

Mike and Amerisun filled out all of the PG&E paperwork to ensure our solar application was submitted by the deadline. Mike also used our prior energy usage history and our answers to future energy needs to calculate what size system we need. We were able to pick panels we preferred and not only are we extremely happy with our PG&E bills, they look great too.

We're pretty new homeowners so it was the first time we had dealt with repairs of this magnitude. Any questions we had were answered promptly and completely which made us feel at ease and taken care of. Even when there were supply chain issues, Amerisun worked tirelessly to source our materials and complete the work timely and efficiently.

We appreciate all of the work Mike and Amerisun provided and will recommend them to all of our family and friends.

I would like to commend Amerisun's customer service representative Erica Moulton in assisting me with my roof leak issue. She was very pleasant, and so easy to talk to in providing me the proper resources to get my roof fixed. She exemplifies great customer service.

Another person I want to commend is Amerisun's roof specialists Ken Murray. He responded to my home and was very thorough in locating the source of the roof leak and fixing it. I am very impress not only with his work but also his professionalism.

They are both great people that goes out of their way to assure their customers receive the best service possible. Thank you Erica and Ken.

Working with Amerisun was by far the worst experience I've had with any company that has worked on our home. It's not hyperbole to say in fact it's been a nightmare. My wife and I decided to replace our aging roof, despite never having had a single issue, in an attempt to be proactive in protecting our home from leaks.18 Months later ..we woke up this morning to another large leak in our living room, which makes it the FIFTH time its leaked in different locations. Over the past 18 months we have had to spend countless hours prodding Amerisun to address the issues and working with third party contractors to repair our home. We've had multiple areas of dry wall replaced and our track lighting in leak areas no longer works. I wish the constant leaks were the extent of it however, its actually worse.
The crew that worked on the house blasted loud music as early at 7am, had no regard for the family living here, using foul language throughout the project with our 4 year daughter present. We had the pleasure of listening to them argue with each other on the roof . We had THREE flat tires in our cars due to nails left behind. They left plastic water bottles on the roof, in our bushes and garden beds. I am still finding nails, scraps and bottles over a year later. Literally all of the flashing they installed had to be completely replaced and in some areas they inexplicably just didn't put it in. They turned our attic into a torture chamber by indiscriminately nailing the hell out of the roof with shiners everywhere. 50% of the nails don't even serve a purpose as they are so poorly placed. After no call no showing on the last day of the project they declared it ""done"". The lead contractor (KEN) himself had to spend a week fixing and replacing the work before inspection. AAAAnd guess what?! We did not pass inspection the first time has they failed to secure venting from our water heater that was damaged during the job. Later, after passing inspection, this was one of the five locations we've experienced leaks so far.
The company often ignores our calls or requires several calls/emails/texts to get any response. The exception was when they pressured us to sign off on the loan despite our concerns. The crew that worked on the house totally disrespected and damaged our home. The company was been unresponsive, shifting the burden of fixing things on us. The CEO Jeremy refuses to speak to us still to this day today. At no point have they expressed regret, remorse, or apologized for any of this. WE had to coordinate all the repairs directly and are currently calling to get help with the newest leak. Our furniture is soaked, our lighting and dry wall now need replacing (AGAIN). I am recovering from a heart procedure and our family is prepping for Christmas and unfortuntely we find ourselves mopping up water and getting out buckets (AGAIN 5th TIME). We are back to square one with no solution in sight. We intend to pursue civil litigation as it seems like our only recourse to end this nightmare. Fifty year roof my @$$! Please do not use this company.

Worked with Mike at Amerisun and am so glad I did.

From the start to finish he was not only extremely informative his team (Jen) was incredibly responsive and didn't wast any time. They were gonna just fix my existing system but when I realized how much the new system was gonna save me in efficiency it was a quick decision. The installer was not only professional but did some of the cleanest work I've ever seen...

We used this company for solar installation based on a friendship. Most sales are referral-based. Our friend told us this was the best company to use for solar installation. We signed the contract back in August. In the beginning of October, they told us we now needed to use a roofing company and the original bid was $16,000. They got that reduced down to $8000 when we complained that we were never told about this part. Do not trust these people. The roofing company told us they would have everything done by a certain date and we scheduled the solar panel installation. They did not show up on the work site on Saturday and then tried to blame it on us and our HO a. They do not have enough crew. We have no idea of the quality of installation that we are getting. I started looking at reviews and realized what a terrible company they are. Do not get stuck with it this company or Powur Solar

We originally hired this 'company' to replace our roof, install solar and a battery. This was at a cost of $108,000.00. They first called us (Colleen) and told us that the permit was delayed indefinately after waiting a month and yet the next day a bunch of men showed up and climbed on our roof without even knocking on the door. We told them to leave because the permit isn't ready and they returned the next day, and we sent them home yet again. They told me that they were subcontractors when the sales person, Cece, told us that everything is 'in house'. She misrepresented the company. When they finally straightened out their utter miscommunication with one another and with us, they dropped off two workers who did not speak english and refused to talk to us and we never saw the foreman again after the first drop off. My husband ended up having to play the role as foreman (9 weeks!) after each day coming home from work because the two workers did not have a clue what they were doing. This company is unbelievably unprofessional and ignored our complaints about the two subcontractors on our roof for at least 4 weeks. Noone would return our emails or calls. The people I tried to contact were Colleen, Erika and Cece. We were complaining because the 'roofers' were ignoring our requests to stop using a leaf blower to blow all the debris into our pool including nails, of which my daughter stepped on whilst swimming and pierced her foot. The workers NEVER cleaned up and left insulation, melted roof, nails, stones and sharp metal all over our yard. We have 2 kids and 3 dogs! I stopped my 4 mth old puppy from choking on a piece of the roof. I literally plucked it out of her throat.
We now have rust stains on our pool floor because of Amerisun's negligence. The subcontractors also threw metal vents off the roof on June 26.2023, as I was walking outside and this caused me to fall and severely damage my right hand ligaments. I was in a cast and brace for 8 weeks. My puppy stepped on one of many nails that pierced her front paw. The workmanship was disgusting. My husband caught them on several occasions cutting corners. They were rolling 1ft wide insulation down on 2 ft wide joists and leaving the rest empty. We took infrared photos to show the gaping gaps that raised our house temperature by approximately 20 degrees! We already have hidden gutters and they drilled new holes next to existing holes and attempted to charge us an extra $7000 to say that they installed hidden gutters! We adressed this with them. They ruined the front fascia by cutting it up and instead of replacing dry rot, they just slapped on a bunch of silicone goop and literally left it as 'finished' when the county came to sign off on the roof. Nothing was sealed on the roof including the chimney and air vents. My husband and I are well versed in building and are in the industry so we are well aware of just how negligently this was done. I finally called Cece 39 times in a row after weeks of no response from anyone and got a texted number for Mike Kreitner who is a manager. He initally seemed unaware of the countless complaints we made, but made a fair effort to fix it. We rightfully fired the company and refused to allow the unqualified two workers on our roof. They sent a 'fix-it' guy out named Ken, who agreed that the work was disgustingly bad. He did some repairs, however, he did not seal the chimney well, the fascia was still a mess and although he filled in all of the wrongly drilled gutter holes next to the existing ones, they still need repair. The lack of insulation due to laziness of not filling the joist width is negligent. We now have to hire ANOTHER roof and solar company due to this shotty 'work' and damage to our home. The fact that the foreman never showed up after day one is appauling. He only came back approx 7 weeks later for one or two days to help clean up the disgusting mess they left for our dogs to ingest.
We renegotiated what they kept trying to charge us for negligent work and damage and argued that they owe my husband compensation for working as their acting foreman due to the lack there of. We ended up paying them a little over cost of materials. The labor and management of this company is the worst I have EVER experienced and I have and will continue to share our horrific experience given that we are in the industry. I do NOT recommend any aspect of this company at all. Quite the opposite. We have documented photos and videos of all negligence. I've attached some of the jaw-dropping work. The infrared photos we took show the MISSING insulation all around the roof. And Cece, the sales person, misrepresented the company upon the sale because when the workers showed up, they stated that they were subcontractors. Never again, Amerisun. Yuck. To be fair, Mike (manager) tried somewhat to help fix things and the fix-it guy. Ken, was decent but not great. This was done in Walnut Creek, not Palo Alto, per I.D.

My wife and I are so happy we went with Amerisun for our roof and Solar! Our sales rep was amazing and very knowledgeable and also got us a great deal! We love that this is a family owned business and for the price this was a no brainer! We started with our roof. Erica was our project manager and helped us through every step of the way. We absolutely loved Victor and his crew. From the first time he came to see our roof he made us feel so comfortable knowing we were in good hands. Our roof turned out great! 3 days from start to finish was impressive! Big shout out to Victor! Next up was our solar install. Amy was our project manager for this part of the project. She was also great! She kept us updated on the process all the way. The byilding department delayed us a bit but we were kept in the loop the whole time. We now have a beautiful roof and solar installed for us to enjoy for years to come! We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Amerisun. The entire team from start to finish was top notch! If we ever need more home improvement projects done, without question, we know who we are calling!
