I had read from other reviewers on Yelp how bad and how long they take to do anything, but now I see for myself.
I NEVER leave a review, (good or bad), for companies online, unless it REALLY DESERVES ONE.
This may be my first review ever.
PERFORMANCE ROOFING @ 2784 Wrights Rd Suite 1012Oviedo, FL is so uppity, I felt like they wanted to sue me, before the job even began!
If you like being treated like a peon by a conceded company, then waste your life/time calling Performance roofing, they will insult your intelligence and behave like a cornered animal fixin' to bite you, if you happen to use their ladder, to get up on your own roof. This is a HUGE deal to them, even though the thirty other companies I had come give me estimates, never cared about me climbing up behind them on a ladder- pathetic way to do business.
Also long delays to get a job done, WAY OVER PRICED, bad craftsmanship, and TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, all these ingredients make a recipe for stinky-pie roof job. STAY AWAY FROM PERFORMANCE ROOFING.

Early Sept 2017 my property management company engaged Performance Roofing to repair a leak in my tile roof of the basis of their estimate. I transferred the full amount due to the Management Company in early September.

I was anxious to have this work completed as I intended to sell the property in the early part of 2018.

By December 2017 they were still unable to source the correct colour tile and their proposed solution was to replace the entire roof. (my suggestion of temporarily replacing the few broken tiles with similar colour tiles to prevent water damage was ignored)

In mid March 2018 the tenant of the property advised that rain water was still leaking into his bedroom and flowing down an interior wall and I decided to bypass the property management company and obtained 2 estimates from recommended roofers. (Both contractors we paid for the time involved in providing estimates.)

I advised the management company that the roof was being repaired by another contractor. They responded the next day that when they told Performance Roofing that another contractor was to repair the roof they stated that the had already repaired the roof some weeks back in February. Considering that the repair was outstanding since September 2017 it is strange that they did not request payment or even indicate that the roof had been repaired.

At this point the 2 new roofers confirmed in writing that the roof had not been repaired. The tenant of the property also confirmed that no one had been on the roof since the original estimate was made and that the roof was still leaking and getting worse. This is a gated community and visitors/contractors have to be pre authorized to enter the community.

That is 3 people with no vested interest declaring that no attempt had been made to repair the roof.

I asked the management company not to issue payment and to resolve the issue with Performance Roofing.

The outcome of this discussion was Performance Roofing put a Lien of the property just as it was about to go on the market and I had no alternative but to pay for a job that was not done.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I am an educated dental professional and George acknowledged my intelligence several times right away prior to his 84 year old home Depot paint bucket labor ready employee for the day. I know roofs don't last a life time. Mine is more than 15 years old. I know a new roof would be ideal. I am not a wealthy person. Especially after george literally stole 300.00 from me and was charging me an additional 390.00 on a pay plan. He called me spur of the moment on a Friday saying he is ready to give me repair estimate and new roof estimate. He then stated he has a guy w him and they can start now. I told him for repair sure... but I need details and cost. He said 690.00 to re pair the areas where tarps are and that will keep u water tight until u can save for roof. September.I said ok.how are u doing it. He says I will replace all 30 of ur missing shingles... they won't match but u will be better off. I said great. He said he would fix the leaks under the tarps. I said great. I went n pulled out money while he supposedly went n got supplies to do the job. Perhaps a few pieces of plywood and some roofing paper. They came back. He commented that his guy who he was instructing on how to do stuff that he was 85 years old and can I believe it? I asked how long they would be on the roof. He said a couple of hours.....I was thinking.... sure probably low balling time and it would run over and I was fine w that. The guy got on roof and walked all over and 30 minutes he was knocking on my door saying bye we are done. I said really it was 30 minutes.... are u sure? Are all the tarps off? Only 1 of 3 were taken away. I told him I need all taken off and those places fixed like george said because he waslong gone. I texted george w my concern and he said he speckled cemented the bare spots where the shingles are m I ssing....no new shingles were placed and he speckled nail holes.....THAT IS ALL HE DID FOR 690.00. not what he said was happening and the amount of time speaks volumes about the half as job. He said he would warranty that po at ch job for one year. Even on my receipt. And he said he would come right back if I had any leaking. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and as a frugal patient shopper in all aspects of our life I have never been this taken advantage of and laterally stolen from. 3 weeks in a 2 rain storms it failed mmisably. And even caused MORE DAMAGE to the ceiling in my house. A lot of it.
I asked him to come nicely 2 times. He said he's on vacation pretty much 3 times in a month. He then told me hed refund my money..... and I gave him my address again and he told me he's not doing it. He's a pompous conceited overbearing theif. All of our communication was in text and he flatout stole 300.00 from and did not warrantee his repair.

Had roof replaced in the crew that came out dumped debris and killed most of my plants and flowers despite discussing this prior with the office, the would start work late and leave a mess at night, ruined my spotlights and scratched garage doors. The replaced wood and did not even paint trim still waiting on gutters no ETA two weeks latter.

Still waiting for my estimate ...Since June 15, 2017. No return calls after several calls. I've requested a callback from the owner and I've yet to be contacted. This is how they treat disabled veterans. Not good.

Excellent customer service. Quality work and extremely reliable staff which is so rare in this industry. They scheduled a roof replacement and were on time, cleaned up their work and I now have a great roof to protect my house. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Finding a roofing company one can trust may be quite the challenge. I had a lot of storm chasers come to my house or leave notes saying they saw damage. After research and talking to Performance Roofing I had them inspect my roof. Paul came out timely and did a thorough inspection. What I found best was that he gave a true and honest evaluation of my roof, and in my case told me even though my roof had some sun blisters it was not in a need to be replaced. This honesty is what I valued the most. Knowing I can trust them and that they are not simply looking to up sell you or scam you is what will earn my business in some years when my roof need replacement.
