It is perhaps the most unrecognized aspect of a modern home, but the roof is perhaps the most essential. Terry from Performance Roofing has delivered an architectural marvel that not only protects but is a beauty to behold. Alas, almost none of this work can be appreciated from ground level. But as you can see in the photos, the multiple metal roofing panels gently caresses around numerous crickets that were specifically designed by Terry and team to ensure the maximal performance and beauty of this masterpiece. Our neighbors further up the hill always bring up how gorgeous our roofing is. But most important of all, Terry is absolutely honest and trust worthy. He is a wonderful human being and we are blessed to have him work with us.

If this is the same Performance Roofing Company that is now based in Santa Ana, I was referred to Mike Clifton by a friend of mine who had used Performance Roofing to reroof her fixer-upper before installing solar. I recently had to replace the underlayment before also installing solar. Mike typically works with another solar contractor but I had already decided to go with Tesla.

He was very professional and came out to give me a quote. I had quotes that ranged all over the place because some companies, some here on Yelp with high reviews, would not just replace the parts of the roof where we were putting the panels. The underlayment still had some life left but I figure that I didn't want to deal with it fully wearing down and having to pay someone to remove the panels in the future to replace it. The ones who would, refused to warranty those parts for more than a year. Mike's quote was reasonable so I knew that he was a fair contractor.

The work started and finished as he said - it took an extra day which wasn't a big deal. Kirk was his foreman and checked in with me daily to let us know what was going to happen for the day. They left the place clean, as well as my neighbor's places.

Mike had told me that he was getting booked up as rainy season was about to start - I'm so glad that I jumped on it because when they started the work, the waitlist was already 2-3 months out.

The quality of the work was great, and I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

Several years ago Performance Roofing replaced our entire roof and did a good job. However, several months ago Performance Roofing was contacted to look at the roof for possible damage after a professional roof cleaning. My call was not returned after several attempts. Recently, after noticing some broken roof tiles, Performance Roofing was called and I spoke directly with the owner who assured me he would call me back the following day. That was 2 days ago and I'm still waiting. Maybe my job isn't big enough to consider. Disappointing.

Bought a new house with a slate roof that needed maintenance and some broken slate replaced.
