I'll use this company again for home projects. They are right on bids, work well with homeowners and their team. They clean as they go so living around the work is manageable. Their work is top quality. And they finish projects in their estimated timeframe.

Just had my roof replaced by Brooks and his crew. They were courteous and professional thru the entire project despite the hot weather, the cleanliness was 2nd to none. Glad to see there's still great company out there

My husband and I hired Brooks to re-roof our 1913 home in seamless metal. Signed the contract on 2/6/16, it took numerous calls and texts, terrible at responding or updating us with a status. He was full of excuses, I'm on vacation, I have so many other projects going on, I don't have the help, etc. How is this my problem?? The first week of April, Brooks told me the roof was ordered and would take a few weeks to come in. May comes along, still not roof, no update. I finally got him on the phone and voiced my concerns and then he gave me a start date of 5/9. Not trusting him at all at this point, we were financing the roof through Ygrene so I called the representative and told him what was going on and he suggested I change contractors to the actual roof installer which I did. I'm not one to deal with general contractors as they overwhelm themselves and sub out which makes communication that much harder. I signed the new contract with the roof installer and it's been smooth sailing ever since (will provide a very positive review for my roofer soon).

Of course I caught Brooks in another lie the day of roof tear down on 5/9. I told the new roofer that Brooks ordered the metal a few weeks ago and I was inquiring if it came in. The responded, ""I ordered it today, it takes 2 days to get here."" I was beyond livid when I heard this!!

I found out today that Brooks asked my roofer if he could help him with a different project but never paid my roofer. By threatening him with court then he finally paid him. Brooks then had the nerve to ask my roofer for a ""kickback"" on my roof after he had already been fired by myself and Ygrene!! I will not only be reporting Brooks to Ygrene, but also to BBB, and the CA State Contractors Licensing Board. He has zero ethics, integrity, and definitely not honest with his clients or his fellow contractors....it pretty disgusting!!

Brooks and his team treated my home well, especially his right hand man Dennis. I requested a re-roof, a whole house fan, insulation, replaced fascia painted to match, new gutters and gutter screens. His team reported some exposed electrical during the roof process and didn't just simply walk past or cover up the potential fire safety hazard. Brooks was on site every day and unlike some other reviewers report, was easy and available for communication. Overall, new roof looks wonderful and I am pleased to have requested his services. I never give 5 stars for there is always room to improve somewhere. Though I am pleased.

Where do I begin. Brooks workers work hard but Brooks does not know how to do anything. Brooks does not follow up with his customers. Ignores you, doesn't respond to your questions. Roof and water heater has been installed last November 2015, but my sliding window was ordered last November 2015, arrived in my backyard in January 2016 and till this day March 24, 2016, still sitting there. City has not signed off on the permit yet. I will never refer anybody to Brooks again. It has been an contactor nightmare. Brooks is not reliable. You can not trust your house in his care. Brooks will take advantage of you and walk away from his responsibles. Brooks should not be a general contractor, he does not have the experience. Brooks comes across has a nice person but beware of sheep in Wolf's clothing. Takes your hard earned money and runs. This star is for his workers.

I hired Brooks on the recommendation of a realtor friend. Apparently we got him at a bad time, like Bonnie below summer of 2014 he was full of excuses, hard to communicate with, totally procrastinated and I found it an extremely frustrating experience. His workers also took a near new mattress that we told him would be in condo and he never replaced it. My husband had to take over the communication because I was done, my husband though I was being impatient, well then he tried it and he was just as frustrated. The work was fine in the end, but it was not worth the exasperation.

The quality of work was fine. What is difficult is Brooks' temperament. Criticism is not taken well and he is never to blame for delays. Now I find that he never finished the final on a bathroom project. It is an irritation and he was well compensated as he is rather expensive. His worker was very good.

I had my bathrooms remodeled about a year ago. I turned one half bathroom together with a closet(in the bathroom) into a new complete bathroom. So Brooks helped me build a walk in shower out of the closet, and put in a soaking tub, change the toilet and a smaller vanity. I want to put a lot of stuff in a comparatively small space. They managed to do it. I am very happy about it. During the procedure, I had a steamer add in the shower room, it is kind of a last minute call, but brooks is very cooperative. The project did take a little bit longer than I expected, but partly because I changed my mind about some details sometimes. Overall, it turned out great. The price is very reasonable too. Highly recommendate!
