Amy C.Lance, the owner, came to our house to deliver a quote. Naturally we were getting other quotes. Another company had left their quote on our porch and Lance stole it. He dropped off his quote and walked off with the other one. Our ring camera caught it all on tape. If he's that shady in the quote stage, I wouldn't trust him to do ANY work for me.
L R.I hope Lance who is the owner of Penny Roofing is reading this. I had Penny Roofing put a new roof on my garage and soon as it rained, it leaked! So i called Lance and he came out to patch the leak up, but when it rained again my roof leaked in two different other places! I called Lance again and he came out and patched up the leaks, but when it rained a third i had more leaks in different places from the last two times. Now Lance is not answering my phone calls. His so called roofing company did not fix my roof right the first time. Whoever is reading this DO NOT USE PENNY ROOFING, they do POOR UNEXCEPTIONAL WORK! I'm reporting them to the BBB...
Debra G.This location never called me back. I left a message right before the first hint of rain came in Los Angeles. They had an outgoing message and I left a message on my mom left a message to no avail.
If you're going to be in service, then you need to answer your phone. Regardless I did not use them I would not recommend them they have horrible business skills.
If there were zero stars, they can make the grade. They replaced my roof and they never answer calls to come back and fix the roof when it leaks. I would never recommend this roofer who can't answer one phone call and promises to redux leaky spot and never can accomplish that. Not worth their price. Not worthy workmanship.
Got a new roof 2 years ago. It started leaking in a certain area . I called lance and made appointment one morning, the guy was a no show! Took off work for four hours and the guy didn't even call . We been calling him for over a week and no response. All I want is for them to repair it since it's covered under warranty. So today I come home from work and lance leaves a card on my door , no call just pop up at my house while no one is there. It's like they are playing some weird game with there customers, I don't understand. Bad business. Finally after calling for an hour Lance picks up and told me he called me and left a message. That was a lie. I'm done taking off work and waiting for Lance to show! Might have to take this to court since he will not response to the damage and repair it! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, it will save you time and stress and the level of disrespect from lance is sad! I would give NO STARS if I could!
Chris J.Once again Penny Roofing makes the grade. I called Lance and asked him to take a look at the flat area on my spanish style roof, since its the summer I figured if needed this would be the best time to tackle it. Lance came out and told me it was ready to be replaced which was what I expected as it was about 20 yrs old. He wrote up a contract with a very fair price and said he could start it in 2 days. His guys came out and 2 days it was done. I really cant say enough,Lance and the guys were great!

Penny Roofing screwed my mother over and that's putting it mildly . never returning their phone calls we've actually even gone to the location where no one answers the door. This place needs to be shut down if it hasn't already next step is I'm reporting them to the Better Bureau Business
Lance replaced my roof. It leaked repeatedly. After 2 years, I had to replace with a new roof with another company. No refund or credits from Lance. I went to the city to see if he pulled a work permit. Turns out he never had any inspections of the roof through the replacement process and he never finalized the work permit.
Sterling ..Several people in my neighborhood raved about how good they were. I called and left two messages two days apart. Still have not heard back from them. I hate leaving negative reviews but there is no excuse. I understand it may be a busy season but three days is more than enough time to return a call. So much for excellent customer service.
Had Penney Roofing install a new roof on my home and garage in 2010.. it has been leaking ever since. Lance does not answer your calls once he has your money. About two years ago, I tricked Lance by calling him with a fake name and different phone number. I left a voicemail and he returned the call immediately! Wow, he thought he had a new victim! He made several promises to come and look at the roof. Finally he came out and looked at the roof and claimed there was nothing wrong with it but sent a guy out to tar a few spots just to pacify me. It continued to leak. Since that encounter Lance has ignored all of my phone calls and voicemails. I had to hire someone else to make repairs on my ""new""roof. Seems the entire front of the roof between the flat part and the pitched part is missing flashings and rain is freely running in. I'm taking pictures to prove my claim. The ceiling and wall in my breakfast nook have to be repaired. Taking pictures of that too. Documenting everything. Don't use this company. Remember, you get what you pay for. He offers a low price and provides shoddy work. The stress is not worth it and he needs to have his license revoked. I don't know who the other folks are who gave him those rave reviews but I know first hand that THE ONES WHO DIDN'T ARE TELLING THE TRUTH!! I'm contacting the state licensing board for advise. I don't know how this man sleeps at night. Use this company at your own risk. You have been warned!
