When I used their online contact, no one responded. I then used their direct email, and again, no one responded. I finally called, and the woman in the office said they never received either. She did send a person out to do the estimate. He looked the roof over, took pictures, and told me in four days, I would have the estimate. Never received it. I have written four times asking for it, or why they did not send it. No response. I realize others have had great experiences; mine was horrific, to say the least.

I can't say enough for this company. I first used them in to do some repairs at my late father's home that had been flagged on the buyer's inspection and they not only showed up on time, they did the repairs quickly and even came out to fix another item the inspector had found afterwards without charging extra. I was impressed enough to have them do the roof replacement on my home and extremely happy with the price quote for my home, as well as the final invoice.
They were quick and efficient, and able to begin work on my home in just a week or two. At one point I was blocked momentarily from getting my truck out of the driveway for an appointment, yet they quickly moved everything out of the way for me in less than five minutes so that I was able to make it to my appointment on time. Although we spoke different languages, the crew and I had enough understanding of each other's languages that communication was not an issue. This was also just as covid was beginning to spread and there was a mask shortage, so they kept a very respectful distance from me when we spoke.
They were not only great and very polite - they were super fast! I have a very high pitched roof with several ridges and intersections, as well as vents, and they handled the entire job with ease - completing it in one day. They were very thorough in their cleanup, also. They left absolutely no debris, anywhere.
I'm a bit late posting this review. It's been a little over three years since they replaced my roof and we are still so happy with it. My husband recently blew off the pine straw and said it still looks new, even after having had some light hail during a storm we've had since having the work done. He's difficult to impress, yet has still been very happy with the result. The roof looks great on our home. If you're looking for someone to replace or repair your roof, definitely call this company.

I can't recommend Penn Roofing, the folks in the office are really pleasant, but the workmanship of the crew at my house left much to be desired.

First, they didn't speak to me or announce their intentions when they first arrived. They just blocked me in my driveway and started working. They tried to leave me blocked in my driveway over night and I had to call in to get things moved after they'd taken off without telling me.

They didn't cover anything in the space beneath the roof and lots of debris fell in, trashing and almost causing significant damage to everything underneath.

The yard they left a mess and despite saying they would clean it up, never did. Including sharp metal pieces and nails, not only did I get a flat tire from a fresh roofing nail after they were done, but I picked up by hand well in excess of 100 brand new roofing nails. I had to go buy my own magnet to have any sense of confidence that I could use my driveway again.

The crew tried to cut corners skipping things that were agreed to, and the things they did do, they did poorly. I had to call them back for almost everything they touched because it was worse than when they started (yes, I had new leaks in my new roof in places that didn't have issues before they started). They also left things clearly in poor condition, gaps between wood structures they'd ""repaired"", warped boards with no support, the roof had obvious depressions and dents where repairs and new shingles were laid.

Different people would show up for other parts of the job at random times without warning and some wouldn't even know what they were doing there. I really shouldn't have to explain what roofing and repair work needs to be done, that should've been handled internally at the company.

When I spoke with the crew on the phone they were not receptive to my issues and were aggressive and disrespectful. I really liked the folks in the office and wanted to support a local business but be wary. Might of just been the crew I got, but it was a remarkably unpleasant experience.

I have a steep roof and had several estimates. Penn was not the cheapest, but I felt comfortable with the information they provided me.
They showed up on time worked until dark the first day and returned the next morning and didn't stop until completed. All cleanup was done and they took extra care with my plants and shrubs. I would recommend them to any homeowner.

I had roof damage after a severe storm, and list shingles from all sections of my roof. I contacted Penn Roofing and had an estimate within days. The works started immediately after accepting there estimate and was completed within a day. The work included the removal and disposal of the old roof, repairs to the underlying structure, and installation of architectural shingles. It looks fantastic and I have had no issues since. I am very pleased and definitely recomend their services.

I called this roofer no less than 5 times to get a quote on a roofing job. On the first call, I scheduled a time for them to come give me a quote on a new roof. They failed to show. I never received a call back. When I called in the second time, the owner apologized and said he would get out to the property the next day. This time, they went to the wrong address, but still never called me back with a quote. I called again the next day and was told they would go to the right address the next morning. Once again, they did not show up. Again, no call back and I had to call them multiple times. I finally got the owner on the phone. He told me he just could not get there the day before, but would come the next day. At this point, I told him nicely but firmly thanks but no thanks"""", that I had learned all I needed to know about his dependability based on his lack of response. At this point he became belligerent and started using foul language, telling me to f*** off and that the building was a piece of sh**. Obviously I did not use them, and decided that anyone who is considering using them should have this review to consider before making that choice. I would not do business with this ""gentleman"" if he did the work for free.

Awesome roofing company. I called seven companies in the CSRA, and Penn roofing was the only one to respond quickly, show up on time, do an excellent job, and all at a fair price. From a husband who's getting ready to deploy, Penn was an answer to prayer for me and my family. Because of their professional work I can leave knowing my family is safe with a solid roof over their heads.

had my roof replaced and it was easy. Called and told them what I needed and they sent someone out first to look at my roof to tell me what I needed to do. They gave me a few options that worked for my budget. The only delay was the weather, had to wait for it to clear up before they could start. They replaced it in 1 day.. WOW
