Beware!! Bruce Peck makes a good first impression as being personable and responsive. However, he does not supervise the work (which is poor), and is impossible to contact after the job is complete. We experienced the following problems: 1) shingles were delivered to our neighbor's driveway and left there (without permission) for several days, 2) of the three member crew, one quit for fear of heights and only one had any skill, 3) rows on half of the roof were too close together and had to be removed twice (the first time because Bruce did not explain or supervise the rework), 4) ridge vent was improperly installed (gap in decking was not cut wide enough - this was corrected, 5) I had to touch up areas where siding paint was removed, 6) flashing at edges of roof was reused and bent (he promised to fix it), 7) box of nails was left on top of the chimney, 8) many, many nails found in yard - a serious concern, as we have children. Since work was completed and inspected by TWIA, I discovered that a section of decking was incorrectly installed - the new decking extends to about an inch from where it should be supported by a 2x4. I have tried for several months to contact Bruce, but he will not answer calls or email. I am hoping that he will respond to this post. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra two or three thousand dollars to get the work done right, with a warranty that is worth more than the word of a dishonest man.

Bruce Peck was quick in responding to my request on www.Homeadvisors.com. He spent quite a bit of time discussing with me the scope of the work and what he would do to execute the job. He said he would be competitive in his bid.

His bid was competitive, and he did his best to come out ahead of his competition. After I accepted his bid (out of 4 total), he scheduled the work within 1 week, fitting it to my schedule. He had a crew chief that spoke English, and they did excellent work in prepping, executing and clean up. I am fully satisfied with the work.

Bruce's company is not as Tech-savvy as some of the others. His follow-up was less than perfect, when I needed documentation from him to provide proof of new roof to the insurance company. I think this is because he personally handles all of the customer calls, and simply gets bogged down with a whole bunch of distractions. If he streamlines his front office operations, I believe Bruce Peck can provide full satisfaction to his customers.

Bruce works well with someone who is patient, has plenty of time to talk thru the project requirements, who is more old-fashioned rather than tech-savvy, and who wants to do business with someone who is comfortable to talk to and deal with. His crew does really competent work.

I would use Bruce Peck again, but I won't be needing a new roof for another 30 years, G*d willing!
