It's so easy to see why Roofing by Stacy Pearson is certified as one of Owens Corning's ""Preferred Contractors"". They were by far the easiest contractor we've worked with all year. We've had to use them for both a roof replacement (covered by insurance) and roof repairs (not covered by insurance).

PROPOSAL STAGE
- Despite a detailed proposal, I had many questions about material choices and alternatives. Not only was the estimator - Nick - not rebuffed, he clearly explained why he preferred any given option over another.
- Nick is a total roofing nerd. He invites questions, readily chews on my hypothetical scenarios, and is up-to-date on the industry. My favorite contractors enjoy that they're constantly learning something new with every job.
- I felt zero pressure to rush and sign a contract. When we couldn't picture how different shingle color patterns would look beside the brick and siding, Nick dropped off physical samples so that we could make comparisons in real life. Over and beyond!

CONSTRUCTION
- The crew was large and efficient. For a large roof with steep slopes, the crew took only two full days. We didn't even have to be home.
- There was someone constantly clearing away trash and scanning for nails.
- Nobody looked exhausted. It's disheartening to me when crews are too small and burnt out. They seemed to have a high degree of mutual respect with both the company's owner and estimator.

POST-CONSTRUCTION
- Nick proactively paused and asked what we thought of the finished roof, which is so inviting to raise any concerns. I never felt like I was wasting his time.
- Because we already had a primary point of contact, I was pleasantly surprised to run into the owner - Stacy Pearson - outside after job completion. He was unobtrusively reviewing the roof, and we had a pleasant chat.

FEEDBACK
- Tar dripped here and there across our white siding. Luckily we had spare paint for one of the crew members to do a bit of second-floor touch-ups afterwards, and I touched up drips along the first floor. It would be nice if there was a barrier to prevent anything from grazing the sides of the house on the way down.
- The weight of the shingles and materials seemingly killed off a portion of our lawn. Next time, I'd request that heavy materials always be on the driveway.

WARRANTY
- They did all the work to register our warranty and send us the confirmation with the ""Owens Corning Roofing Product Warranty registration number"".
- Given that a proper warranty covers so many years, at least pick a contractor that has already proven that they can stay in business for decades.

LOYALTY / ROOF REPAIRS
- We needed last-minute small (less than 3ft x 3ft) repairs on two different occasions due to an inept decking contractor, and Roofing by Stacy Pearson came out immediately to assess the damage. They are on top of prioritizing their customers right before Austin's random rainstorms. That kind of assurance is simply invaluable.

I was worried with all the storms and hail we had the winter if 21, I called my insurance assuming I would need a new roof. While I admittedly don't know much about hail damage, I assumed all parties would suggest a new roof outside my insurance company. Steve called to set my appointment and showed up when he said he would. After getting on the roof and inspecting carefully, he informed me that I didn't need a new roof at this time. By being prompt, not only did he save me a $4300 deductible, he also saved me from filing an official claim on my roof as I was able to cancel the appointment with the insurance company prior to them coming out. I'll be giving these guys a call when I do need the work done. Thanks Steve!

I'm very satisfied with my experience with Roofing by Stacy Pearson. Steve came out to do the initial inspection and helpfully explained the process and the improvements they would make to the existing roof.

The project manager Nick did an awesome job during and after the installation, and the head roofer Chilo was quite impressive. I realize I'm particular about details and had many more questions/concerns than the normal customer, and Nick went above and beyond to answer them and make sure everything was done well. My biggest concern was an area of a previous leak, and Nick and Chilo, the head roofer, implemented a solution that was better than that devised by the professional waterproofer I hired a couple years ago.

I was really impressed with the level of detail and expertise on that point. And I was very happy with the attention to detail and willingness to answer my questions throughout the process.

I am new to Austin, Texas, and was surprised to find how difficult getting a roof on a house can be! State Farm refused to replace the hail and storm-damaged roof, and most representatives from other roofing companies refused to even look at it when they heard my insurance company was State Farm. One company that did give me a quote said they couldn't possibly get to it for at least 6 months.

However, Steve was just superb, from beginning to end. He spent as much time with me as needed, answering my questions, and educating me about roofs and their problems in this part of the country. He pointed out some damage the squirrels were doing--which I had noticed but hadn't yet figured out who was to blame--and suggested what to do to keep them off my roof. It took me about 6 months to make a decision, and Steve came by at my request several times over that period of time to take pictures and answer questions. He had some ideas about doing a better job than the existing roof, which was put on by the contractor at the time when it was built. I relied on Steve's judgment for shingle color and it was the right choice. When it came time to re-roof, he and his crew were easy to schedule. They worked fast but did an excellent job, cleaned up better than any roofers I've had previously (in another state), and were professional to deal with. Best of all, the shingles were an upgrade, but the price was better than any of the other quotes I received! I would recommend this company, and I would go so far as to say have no one else roof your house.

We have used Stacy Pearson Roofing three times over the past 17 years. There is no other roofing company we would even consider using or recommending to our neighbors or friends. The most recent experience with Stacy Pearson Roofing happened this year when a bad hail storm hit our area and once again we needed a roof replaced. When we called Stacy Pearson Roofing to come out and give us an estimate, we were pleasantly surprised to see the very same agent-inspector that helped us 14 years ago. This is a super belated review as I have used Roofing by Stacy Pearson twice, not sure why I never posted a review before.

First off, to be clear, I really only do reviews when the service is very good to excellent and I usually do not write negative reviews, rather I just don't leave a review, so bear that in mind.

The service team and everyone individual I have spoken with or worked with in person are polite, professional, knowledgable and have a commitment to quality customer service. There has never been any pressure to fix or repair anything, just straight forward reports, and recommendations.

I have had them out to investigate a leak in the roof, and they were prompt in getting in touch with me, showed up on time on the schedule date and time, provided a detailed analysis including pictures, and provided a quote for my review. The work was scheduled and the repairs made in time, and inspected after everything was complete.

Zip ahead in time two years and the Great Freeze of Texas. I scheduled them to come out to investigate potential water damage from the storm, check on a plumbing vent that may have been raised after a water heater repair, and inspect my roof for overall health. In spite of the heavy demand on their services due to the storm, Steve was able to provide some by phone analysis at the beginning of the week, and be on site for an inspection later in the week after the rain had passed.

He repaired the raised plumbing vent ( he even noticed it from the street ), and provided a full inspection report and recommendations.

I am super happy with this company, with Steve, Stacy and Samantha and the service they provide. That is why I am a repeat customer. I would recommend Steve without any hesitation, he is a professional's professional. I can also attest to the fact that coincidentally when talking about roofs and such with some neighbors, they all recommended Roofing by Stacy Pearson.
