Recommended Customer Reviews

We had an air conditioner installed by this company, almost 4 years ago. The air conditioner never worked correctly, I would have it set to 77 degrees and it would slowly creep up to 84-86 degrees, not keeping the house cool. This caused the air conditioner to run constantly and never shut off, thus, causing astronomical electric bills. We called them for 3 years trying to resolve this issue, only to have Bryan curse us out. I would spend my day moving the temperature on the thermostat up and down so it wasn't running all day. After 3 years and multiple visits by them, it was apparent, they had no idea what they were doing. We couldn't afford to call another company because we live on SS disability, and it took a while for us to accumulate the money to call someone else, so I spent this year up and down playing with the thermostat again. We recently got the money together to call another company. Lo and behold, the air conditioner was incorrectly installed, pistons were the wrong size, an important coil was so bent, there was no way the refrigerant was able to flow through the system, the main coil was so disgusting, it had to be replaced, and they told us they had replaced it. The new company said there's no way that was a new coil. Finally, the air conditioner was incorrectly placed too close to our home, there's no room around it to work properly, but the icing on the cake, when the air conditioner was installed, Bryan told us they registered it with regard to the warranty, and we didn't have to do anything. I just found out 2 days ago, they never registered anything, and we have no warranty. Anyone thinking of using this company be warned, stay far away or you may have the same horrific ordeal we have had. I'm so grateful I have an honest company that knew immediately what was wrong with the system, and have fixed it. I finally have a working air conditioner.
Services: Installation, Install AC

This is the most unprofessional, unknowledgeable service provider I've ever come across. They installed the AC system in the home we rent in 2016 and since we are under warranty they are required to come make repairs. Our AC stopped working already and PDQ had to send someone out 4 different times to make repairs. None of these repairs resolved the issue and our unit remained broken. The workers were also extremely hostile and mistreated us. We hired another company to come out after the fact and they were able to remedy the situation immediately and informed us that the major issue is that PDQ installed the system incorrectly to begin with and we will have recurring annual issues.

Where do I begin? This company is by far the WORST company in SWF. I hired PDQ Mechanical after hurricane Irma to fix the damage the storm had caused. It was a good start.... owner was helpful and seemed to understand his business quite well. Then..... it starts: I came home from work early one day and there was a truck pulled up in the yard with a woman sleeping in it. I questioned it, he said no big deal. After completion the nightmare got worse. There were nails throughout yard (didn't use a tarp or magnet) stucco was damaged over the bay windows where they pulled shingles off, gutters were damaged after removing, rain sensor was broken and never replaced, the ridge vent wasn't cut through for ventilation, rotted wood all over and they used peel and stick over the holes in the wood... now we have sagging wood over the garage. Just a poor job all the way around. Icing on the cake was after review of our permit.... the company forged my name on the NOC and had his mom notarized it. It's been over 6 months and the OWNER seems to be looking out for only himself and not his customers. Thankfully I found the licensee and she is fixing our problems at her expense. I just hope it's fixed before the next hurricane. If I were you I would stay far away from this company or you will get burned!

I have had a very poor experience with this company. They installed an air conditioner that constantly breaks. In the last month, they came to my house three times after it kept breaking and they never actually fixed it. Twice, they showed up without notice. Twice, they called to yell and swear at me for no reason. Once because no one was sitting there waiting for them when they showed up unannounced--despite requests that they give notice because you cannot sit in a 90-degree house for hours waiting for them. Once because I asked them to send someone who knew what they were doing after they failed to fix the problem after three different tries. This was my fourth attempt to get them to come and actually fix an air conditioning problem they had already ""fixed"" three times on an air conditioner they installed. They got hostile and told me to find another company.
I did call another company and they fixed it within 90 minutes. It's worked perfectly since. That company also told me they would never work with PDQ again because they have ""ego problems"" and that the air conditioner was not installed properly.
If you want to spend money to not have things fixed and be treated with hostility, hire PDQ. If you need something fixed and don't want to be yelled at, don't call PDQ.
