I've used Paul Bancroft Roofing on two of my homes. The first time was back in 1989. Our home had an old wood shingle roof and was on it's last legs. We wanted a tile shingle roof so Paul came out, gave us quote but noted that he had to reinforce the roof joist since we were going from a wood tile to a cement tile roof. He pulled the permits with the city and performed the work in a timely matter.

The next time we called him was in 2012. The roof on this house was 16 year old and we had a leak in the master bathroom. Paul came out with his son and they drew a diagram of the roof and explained that the underlayment in a couple of sections need to be replaced and some of the tiles were broken. Once again we used his services since we can trust the work would be done properly.

In Dec 2019 we had another leak over the stair well. It's been raining a lot and I knew Paul and his crew would be backed up (btw, Paul is slowly transitioning into retirement and his sons, Devin and Dustin, will be taking the helm). I was flexible as for the time and day when someone can come and take a look at the leak. Dustin came by about a week after the initial call to their office. He still had the diagram from 2012 so it was a lot easier to figure out what section needed to be repaired. Again, the underlayment in 2 sections near the front had to be repaired. Since it was a small job, they were able to squeeze me in about a week later.

Paul and his crew are very reliable and I have the peace of mind knowing that the job was done properly.

I don't understand why this company has only 2 reviews, I expected to see a long line of 5 star reviews, maybe because they focus on doing their job well vs promoting Yelp reviews.
This is a top noch roofing contractor, if you want to solve your roofing problems, you found the magical wond.
As an Architect who manages high end commercial projects, I experienced all kind of specialty contractors, when it came to my home, I found myself in the maze of looking for a residential roofing contractor.
With this company, you will find competence, thoroughness, professional attitude, follow up and a job very well done.
You may find other roofing contractors giving various feed back & estimates, but remember when your roof still leaks, that damages interior walls, furniture, floors, & the cost multiplies. And we can't count on the drout anymore.

We have used Paul Bancroft Roofing in our HOA for over 17 yrs. In all that time, we have never had a ""call back"" or prob. The quality of the work, the professionalism & integrity cannot be matched by another roofingcompany in the general So Ca area. Paul does his own initial inspection and estimate, in addition to (most often than not), visit the completed job to make sure it meets his standards. His crew is timely, courteous, and never fails to clean the worksite as though they had never been there.

You may pay a small premium for his services BUT you get what you pay for and in dealing with this type of service, you do not want probs.
