I wanted to share our experience with Patio Perfection recently in the hopes if you use them you can at least be prepared. We hired PP to build us a Freestanding Solid cover. I realize that there are always possibilities with issues arising during construction. It's how you handle them is what really matters. Patio Perfections is not one of those companies that handle anything.
We signed our contract with PP on 10/31/17 with Matt Soper who I believe is title as the sales manager but I could be wrong. After that day Matt went extinct and I think I maybe talked to him one time during this whole process with PP. At this point the pool was dug and rebar was installed.
We were told that the permit process should be about 10-14 from submission to City Of Roseville, with engineering about a week but they would not hold up the pool. The permit never came! Gunite on the pool was completed on November 7th. Tried constantly by leaving VM and texts for Matt with no return calls or contact. I was just asking for help from the salesmen that wrote us up. Absolutely Nothing. I could bore you by adding the pics of the texts and emails that I have in my file but won't.
I finally had to call the City of Roseville on 12/5 to find out they submitted the wrong engineering plans to them and had submitted for a Louvre cover instead of a Free Standing solid cover.
Our plans were finally approved on 12/12.
IMPORTANT: What we came to find out and is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE was that on the last footing (SEE PIC and the gap noted under the form). The lead guy(Matt) took the easy way out and raised the concrete form 2"" to compensate for the additional 2"" inches they still needed to dig. I was in the backyard when they said they had 2"" to go and I left for work.
During the build of the patio I confronted them and said I knew what they did and there was just a chuckle. I called Robert to inform him and he said that the concrete guys should always check their forms...REALLY! But that was his response. Luckily the concrete crew was superb and didn't have guys taking short cuts and caught it otherwise we would have been two inches higher right in the middle of the slab.
ELECTRICAL: I ran conduit from an electrical box to the metal post now in the footings. The lead guy wanted to cut the conduit off about 12"" from the ground and add a junction box there for the wiring for the lights. The issue is that they were going to slide a solid fiberglass column over it leaving no way to access the junction box in the future. His comments were nothing was ever going to happen and they do it all the time. I won't get into electrical code but that is totally unacceptable, so I had them place it up between the rafters where you can get to it.
In the end the patio looks good. It was finally signed offed by the City the day after completion which was 1/5/2018. Remember we started this on 10/31/17. This delayed our pool by a month. Since the pool company did not want to have metal shavings from cutting aluminum in the pool after their cleanup they had to wait for the cover to be completed.
Even in the end after the cover was complete we have not had a single call, email or text from PP. They wanted their check of course and they leave that up to the crew that builds it to collect. Since the permit was not signed off and the paint was not done I held the check off. The painter told me that she was to collect the check. Matt...are you out there!!! Usually the contractors I have known always are onsite at completion to do a final walk with the client and collect the payment and most importantly -REFERRALS!
I would just be extremely cautious in using them solely base on their non-communication and the shortcuts like the concrete form and electrical. Hopefully they have better sales guys too.

Where to start. Saw this company at the home garden expo last year at Cal Expo. We wanted an Apollo opening roof system patio structure for outback yard. Ended up contracting with them. That is where the mistake happened. Matt came out and provided us a quote and he was pleasant. Then two guys Matt and Kyle came to dig the footings and they did not know the city code for setbacks. Had to stop them mid dig and then the project halted. They wanted my landscaper to do everything for them, dig footings and run electric and gas for them. Long story short, finally had the structure delivered after footings were complete. Juan is a horrible sub contractor who was supposed to be their best installer. During the install the structure was scratched and he tried to go to Lowe's and get paint to cover up a perfectly delivered structure. That is only the beginning. He drilled holes in it that were not necessary and ultimately never filled them. Then rain and you guessed it, it leaked everywhere. Even through the electrical that was run for my ceiling fan. The heater was installed and never worked properly with its two stage switch. So they have been out four times, twice with their own electrician and could not figure it out. Now they want to run conduit on the oust side of the structure to fix this issue of a dead short. This is 220V that because of their crappy install could have caused a fire. They take no care in their install and pulled wires through sharp, jagged edges and nicked the wires therefore causing the short. They have false advertising in that all their photos have the wires run inside the structure. Now because of their mistake, they want to run them on the outside? The owner Wally, has been out several times and he wants me to trust him. I have asked them not to return to the property. I hired an outside electrician who came out and diagnosed the problem in 5 mins and now it's going to cost me another $800 to fix their mistake as their electrical does not even meet code. The total bill for my structure was $30,000 and no customer service to write home about as they are totally incompetent. A project manager named Robert never showed up until there was a problem. Hiring Patio Perfections was a total waste of time and money. Please stay away from this company as they will steal your money to. The water still comes through my $800 haiku ceiling fan. Now seeking damages against this company.

Patio Perfections built a beautiful $22,000 patio cover on my house. The issue is that it only provides shade for four hours of the day. I was assured that this was the solution I needed to solve my sun issue from the salesman to the installer and then they all admit it doesn't in the end, but ""oh well"". Sorry you aren't happy"". I would never have started down this path if they had only been honest from the start.

Great product, installers and sales staff. We decided on a pre-engineered structure, the apollo louvered roof with square anodized post sun structure, vs hiring an architect to engineer and build a custom structure. This has been a perfect fit for our needs and architecture style. The sales staff helped us decide on the look, size and features. The build was fast.

We have been enjoying many afternoons and evenings out of the sun. We had them install a fan which increases our usefulness of the outdoor space. Post lighting allows us to use it at night. The structure in close to our pool. Patio Perfections has helps us achieve a more spa like backyard setting. We are considering more ""staycations"" vs vacations. Thank you!

Just met with Rich this evening and was completely impressed. I scheduled a last minute day of appointment and he was able to accommodate me. He was very laid back and not once did I feel pressured into buying. He was very informative and gave me lots of options. At the end he told me to speak with my wife and that he would always be available for further questions. I simply did not care to shop it anymore the way he carried himself and his professionalism was 5 Star and I can't wait to get this patio installed.

I highly recommend Patio Perfections if you are considering a patio remodel. From start to finish these guys had my patio cover dialed in. Matt was phenomenal in helping me design and plan it with so many good ideas that I would have never thought of. He was even deterring some of my ideas that would have added to the cost, explaining why I wouldn't want to do some of the things I was talking about. They have the utmost honesty and integrity and great ideas. The installers, Andy and Oscar, were the best I have seen. They took their work very seriously and seemed to take what they do as a craft, not just a job. The work they performed and the care they took was as if my patio cover was going into their own home. It is the best addition I have added to my home in the 20 years I have lived here. I am glad I chose them and would do it again. Thank you Matt, Andy and Oscar! Patio Perfections is the best!

Great company and great Apollo product. We had ours for a little over a year, and then had an overheating problem with our control box. One call to Apollo and it was solved! They called PP, and they dropped everything they were doing and came from Roseville to Livermore the NEXT MORNING to resolve my issue. Great customer support. Since my last review of Patio Perfections, things have greatly changed. The owner, Wally Peterson, came to my home to view the problems of which I was concerned. We began the visit with my being very angry with the company and ended with us both being cooperative, working together for solutions. Wally devised a plan to remedy the problems and has put the solutions into action, some of which were created, designed specifically for the troubles I was having. He not only is solving the problems I was having with water leakage, but offered to assist in getting leaf covers for the pre-existing gutters on my home. His team of workers has been very attentive to finishing the changes that Wally set in place. I have reversed my opinion of this company and am very happy with my cover. It took a bit of time, but Patio Perfections has assured me that they will solve all the troubles I previously had as well as assist in solving others as well. I am very pleased with the assistance that I am getting. This is a small company with a heart, who listens to their customers. I love my patio roof and recommend this company to all that are seeking a cover that allows the sun to filter in when desired. A frustrating start with a fabulous ending! Thank You Patio perfections! I am now a very happy customer.

Soon after purchasing our house in 2012 we realized we desperately needed some relief from the summer sun in our West-Facing backyard. My brother had previously had a patio cover installed by Patio Perfections and highly recommended them.
Wally came out and provided a quote. He was so friendly and easy to work with. I originally wanted an insulated patio cover (like my brother had gotten) but Wally actually talked me out of it. You heard me right, he actually suggested I not upgrade to the insulated cover because it wouldn't be cost-effective for us (since the tax rebates were no longer available).
The guys who completed the work were great. It passed inspection with no problems. A few months later after we got our first rain we noticed the gutters weren't keeping up with the water flow so I contacted Patio Perfections and they came back out and installed an additional gutter.
5 years later I have no regrets about hiring Patio Perfections to install the patio cover for us, we love it!

We are completely satisfied with our experience with Patio Perfections. From Mike, the sales rep to Andy, the installer and the office staff, everyone is very helpful and professional. Our backyard has become our favorite place to hang out. They helped us design and Install a combination style patio cover which gives us an options to open/close with a remote so the house doesn't get dark and protects the patio furniture during rainy days.
